My updated review of this property :)

I gave this resort (and it has a nice resort feel rather than a hotel feel) 7/10 in a previous review from 4 weeks ago simply because I found the rooms let it down. It would be totally unfair not to update my review. The rooms did feel a bit and tired the first stay but it was a midnight arrival and we were the first guests to open the doors of that room at the start of season,so it smelt and felt of the few idle months. On a return trip last week the rooms were in full swing and in fairness felt a million times brighter cleaner and happier.The a/c system is a bit tired as are the random replaced tiles in the common areas of the 1st floor but so what!!. The staff ,the service, the general friendliness and cheer in every corner from the dining room staff ,check in staff, cleaning staff, to the pool side guys to the very good entertainment crew is genuinely far beyond a 5 star service. Whoever does the hiring within this group should take a bow. These people honestly give the feeling that they want to be at work. In this day and age that is rare!!. The value for money is exceptional,the place is spotless, although a little tired the rooms have all the facilities and more. The staff far exceed any hotel i have ever stayed in. Well done guys. We were here on a very casual work trip!! and of the 4 of us from different walks of life and backgrounds, we are all coming back as soon as possible.Thank you and keep doing what you are obviously very good at.

Exceptional

Very friendly staff, nice pool and views, great buffet food, everything clean. Definitely recommended for stay with children as there were lots of activities and lots of kids there, but anyone would enjoy the hotel even without kids (I was there just with a friend and we enjoyed it)

Great hotel, Shame about the pool

Breakfasts were amazing and food variety was exceptional

The pool was colder than the sea and totally unusable. The other 'heated' pool was not much warmer and definitely not something you could stay in for longer than a minute. I swim in open water hut even the outside pool was too painful for me!

Superb

Excellent value for money. Food is far from being gourmet, but still very good and varied. Staff was very friendly and always looking to help and improve my stay.

Water wasn't very hot and noise from other rooms and water pump can be heard throughout the night.

Kids club,food and service/staff close to 5 star. Basic level rooms clean but an ok 3 star at most.

The catering was exceptional as were the staff. Common areas including pool areas are lovely and could not be faulted. Bright,cheerful and friendly.

The basic rooms are converted from old self catering units (kitchenette removed etc) without a thought in the world.They are clean but do ring a little bit of (lipstick on a pig) syndrome. No t.v. in bedroom area (i know its not major but it breaks the silence on hangover nights!!). t.v.service in common area very dated and constantly crashing even thought wifi is spot on.showers are poor and aircon controls are also very old and out of date to an annoying point.The former kitchenette area converted into a walk in wardrobe is just a waste of good space and blocks the flow of light. Saying that the place is spotless. Would defo stay again but in a highter quality suite.The entry level rooms would be beaten hands down by many of the 3 star establishments in the immediate area.(jardim del sol sea view)(upgraded sun beach rooms)(upgraded holiday centre rooms) at a lower price. However if your priority is kids club and meals and service....yes.yes yes.

I throughly enjoyed my stay , had everything you would want from an all inclusive holiday ,

Room was grand but really missed a balcony but apart from that it was good sized room , had no kettle though

A wee bit noisy sometimes because of pool next door but would not stop me staying again

Fantastic stay would highly recommend.

The staff at reception were excellent. Welcoming, efficient, friendly. First impressions were great. Great adult only roof terrace. Great views and nice for a swim if you are able enough to get in from the rocks. I would recommend purchasing some rock shoes and a snorkel. Would be nice to get rid of the sea weed and have a nicer beach but I imagine that is the councils job not the hotel. Still an excellent location and would definitely go back.

The worst hotel i have ever stayed at

Food was absolutely disgusting 🤮 We asked for a full refund and wanted to leave We arrived late So unpacked Dinner was un edible Room was clean and roomy is all i can say The hotel is awful The staff are like the gestapo It is no way 4 star hotel No brollies for people to sit under Well not enough The adult only section was a jacuzzi Because i kicked up a fuss they allowed us up there every day for free But any other people were charged 20 euro a day Most of the canopies over the beds are broken This hotel is a scam I went in holiday to relax and enjoy myself I was tired and was hoping for a little luzury and rest Not a fight We got our money back on all inclusive as in 400 euros and we ate out every night But even the breakfast was absolutely disgustingly unedible Even the ham was off I mean really bad

Everything just awful They offered to send us to their other hotel But we had unpacked we had friends staying nearby so wanted to be in santa ponsa And i was so tired i either wanted my money back or stay so i done a deal with manager To stay and have free towels and use of adult only section

The Staff were fantastic. Very clean.

Booking.com advertise this property showing a Cove beach attached to the property. On arrival we were informed this closed 6/7yrs ago. Despite this Booking.com still use this as a selling point of the hotel. We chose this hotel specifically for this reason. The Food - goodness me. It was clear a lot of the food was ‘repurposed’ - The Pasta section ….they used the same pasta from the day before and added some oil to make it passable. All it did was make it oily and hard. Salad were great but the food was practically the same everyday with the exception of the odd dish. Avoid the desserts - terrible.
