Disappointed

24hour reception

When we got to the room the table next to the bed was dirty, we had to clean ourselves, there was still a previous room service paper on the door. Also the shower is not build in properly. So If you like a nice pressure, you will get the floor wet. We weren’t informed at what time was breakfast and we assumed that they will stop at 10am like some holiday inn. But when we got there we couldn’t get breakfast, far enough. But no one offered us coffee or direct us to the bar. ( I wouldn’t mind pay for a coffee). As I worked in a hotel i will always pay attention to detail and how people deal with some situations, and I wasn’t minimally satisfied

Decent investment.

Everything was as expected, I enjoyed myself and I was very well rested.

If it was a little cheaper it would have been perfect.

Clean as expected, location was ideal for our travels

Swimming pool closed. Staff variable with attitude and policy regarding dogs. The only area you can eat with a dog is either on high tables or low sofas at the reception, some staff adhere to the rules others were more flexible. One particular member of staff was rather rude and passive aggressive about where we sat.

Great breakfast, enjoyed the pool and gym, room small and problems with dinner

The breakfast was brilliant. Lots of variety, had smoothies, decaf tea, everything you would want. The pool and gym were great. Most of the staff were very friendly.

We booked the evening meal with our stay and there were a few issues with this - the variety of meals available with this was very limited. They had pizza and salads but besides this didnt have many normal dishes e.g. no burger or chicken burger, no spaghetti bol or lasagne or chicken curry. Also many of the dishes were not as advertised - the chicken salad bowl I ordered one evening had only about half of what it said it would have on the menu. Also the wait times were ridiculously long some evenings. The staff did not seem to be in any hurry to take our order or to bring our food. Room was very small and staff didnt bother to leave clean cups or replace milk or coffee or anything.

Wee bar man was great at end of night .

Great location to where we needed to visit family.

First member of staff could not find booking for 2nd room no 66, then when found told me not paid. When told both rooms were already paid for she argued and I got an eye roll stating it will be sorted later as there was a long cue waiting to check in. On arrival at room we had no pillows so had to return to request them. Again got not a good vibe from same member of staff. On enquiring next morning re payment other staff member could not have been any nicer and told me she had sorted it all.

Will definitely book again when next visiting Leeds

Very comfortable beds, air con was a saviour during this heatwave! Staff were so friendly and accommodating.

relieved it was just a one night stay, but beds where comfortable and the room very quiet

Beds where comfprtable, the televison an absolute nightmare, kept asking to be tuned in , after a long drive to the hotel , a very ordinary pretty tepped meal, which i may add took forever to order and even longer to arrive ( 20 minutes for a childs ice cream to be delivered to table) was much uneeded

Awful!

Rooms were adequate

Too much to list. No point ordering food, because it never comes, then when you ask for a refund for the salad that i ordered, waited an hour and it still didnt come, the entirety of the staff there tells ‘come back later’. I had to leave an get food elsewhere. Then when I ask for a VAT receipt, it takes a day and an age to get me one, to then be given the wrong order. I eventually got the refund, but wasnt even comped the 1 starter we did receive for the inconvenience. Absolutely poor service. I stay away several days a week for work and if I rated it for the room, then yeah, it’s pretty standard, but the remaining services might as not exist because thats exactly how it felt when I stayed there!

The beds where comfortable

Staff wasn’t friendly at all, got charged 2 times for a drink that was out of date, the chain on the toilet was broke so was making noises for hours straight, the air con didn’t work so the room was far too warm, we put a sign on door to not come into the room as we didn’t need it cleaned however when we came back on night time things had been moved and our quilt was missing, the door was broke so we needed to get 3 new room keys

Comfortable , with exceptional staff.

The room and bed were comfortable and clean. The breakfast was excellent with a good variety , in particular the staff were helpful and welcoming.

There was a bit of noise after midnight from other guests.

What a disappointment!

Selection and quality of breakfast items was brilliant.

We booked the executive double room by spending some extra to have a separate seating area for the evenings (as per room photos). Unfortunatelly we've been accomodated in a regular duoble room with a refridgerator and a coffee machine in it. According to the staff it was a premium room because of that although we did not even needed them. We went to reception next morning and receptionist agreed to our claim and promissed to "make it good" by partial refund at our check out. Unfortunatelly, on our check out day another receptionist was in place and she did not wanted to hear anything about that. She was just claiming that we've been staying in a premium room and they owe us nothing. Our choise of the hotel was also based on the facilities in it. A swimming pool was one of the deciding factors. Again, the swimming pool was not operational due to "some maintenance issue" throughout our stay. The staff have not mentioned anything about that at check-in. So we've left the hotel overpaying for the room we were staying in and not receiving the services we were entitled to. I am an IHG club member and I did not expected anything like that from one of their hotels.

Good base for exploring

Breakfast good, staff friendly, pool and gym

Gym and pool was dirty. Pool water was cloudy, floors filthy, changing rooms cold and dirty. Fold out bed was uncomfortable. Carpets need a wash. Lift would be helpful.

Quite disappointing, stains in shower and sofa bed musty

Good location, decent breakfast. Access to other parts of hotel from outside.

Staff attitude when booking in and bar staff and staff on duty for breakfast were not welcoming. The lady on reception yawned constantly while we were booking in. Price of beer extortionate. A breakfast tray outside one of the rooms remained outside all day yesterday and still there this morning.

Won't be staying again, a plethora of stuff just wrong

Staff friendly

Room old, tv didn't work, room card didn't work 4 times, in the end didn't have one and staff had to use mastercard. Was wrongly checked in and had to move rooms!! Worst thing was paying £104 and the mattress VERY uncomfortable, you could feel springs and a big hole in the middle... awful

Easy parking, breakfast good, gym great, wifi, room small but very comfortable and great shower!

Great shower, gym small but very adequate, wifi fast, bed was broken on my husbands side so he didn’t sleep well at all, but my side was fine. But it was the only room they had left :( easy parking included for free. Breakfast was nice.

Very happy customer

Very spacious, clean room. Huge bed with liads of pillows. Had a fridge with water, Pepsi & chocolate supplied. Loved the bathrobes & slippers.

The only negative I would comment on is that we would have liked more coat hangers. Other than that, everything was great.

Great stay if you don't plan on spending much time in the room.

Location, Staff, Facilities and comfort was good.

Room was tiny, The air conditioning was broken so they had to bring a portable heater to our room. There are Spiders everywhere - All along the windows whereever you look!

The bar manager was covering reception too and was stretch but he maintained a great customer focus and rapport. No restaurant but allowed to order takeaway.

The facilities are starting to look dated.

A fantastic low cost stay

Everything was great rooms are fantastic value for money, everything you would need and very clean. Facilities were great gym and swimming pool a great bonus. Staff were all professional and welcoming.

Breakfast was a wee bit pricey for my liking, and the beer also.

Struggling with lack of staff

Dirty . Understaffed no bar service no late food . Very expensive as price hiked for Leeds fest wouldn’t mind that if it was clan and everything open .
