Hotel

All good

The room smelt like mold and musty making it hard to breathe. The pulley switch in the bathroom didn’t work so you either have to be tall or stand on a chair to get the light. The beds were so hard and the blanket was ripped. The staff didn’t help us with our suitcases so we were lugging them up the stairs. The staff in restaurant wouldn’t give us the bill for over 30 minutes.
4.2
The room was very dark and dated. It was quite far from city center where you definitely need a car.
4.2
Room was comfortable & quiet
A little shabby
4.2
Quiet Hotel and excellent breakfast.

Quarto muito espaçoso, com chá, café e biscoitos. Excelente chuveiro. Estacionamento gratuito. Bar com ambiente simpático e restaurante com bom serviço e menu.

The staff could not be any more helpful . everyone was friendly the reception was very friendly and helpful catering for anything which was asked . The restaurant was excellent food could not be faulted great value for money and wealth worth a visit.
The bedrooms could have been a bit more updated but clean and had all that was required for our stay .
4.2
Receptionist had a very welcoming and friendly manner, the room was clean and comfortable. The bar master was a true Gentleman, made time for a nice chat whilst still giving prompt service to a lot of customers. All in all a pleasant stay.
The hotel met my expectations, so it is difficult to pick faults. A fresh bottle of water in the room would be nice although tea. coffe and biscuits are each room. Super busy hard working staff, but maybe a little short staffed.
4.2
Food was good and the staff very polite and efficient
4.2
The hotel was fine. Staff throughout the hotel were really friendly, helpful and welcoming. Room was well equipped. Snug was a nice place to go to eat. Breakfast was easy to negotiate and the menu was good. I liked the location. Close enough to the city but still a bit out, and quiet. I'd stay there again.
The hotel is showing its age. It's a little shabby but it is clean. The heating is a bit esoteric. I was told it was controlled centrally. Most times the temperature was OK but my room got really hot at about 5am; not the sort of time when you want to be ringing reception about it.
4.2
The staff and especially Darrell in the bar.
Excellent cocktails.
Mould in the room above the window, damp coming through.
No thermostat on the radiator that you can adjust, you have to contact reception and get them to adjust it or turn on/off etc. and Glade plug in’s which overpower the senses.
Breakfast is just confusing, with a menu being offered which you choose from.
They then basically bring you the eggs you want and you have to go up to the buffet and select any other items you want which were on the menu!?
The restaurant food was over cooked with grey beef and soft watery veg.
Go for the pizza, it’s the only thing they got right.
Disappointed

Everything was so perfect ..

Great hotel and extremely friendly staff , 2 girls on reception couldn't have been friendlier. The only down side was its a bit out of the way but nothing that a taxi didn't sort out .Great food clean and comfortable would definitely recommend 👌

Friendly staff

It was really clean.
We inadvertently booked a twin room and paid an extra £70 to upgrade to a double, which wasn't very comfortable it seemed passed its best. There was noticeable damage to the bathroom door. The room was very clean and the housekeeping team were very professional.. The residents' lounge was not open for the entire week we were there, which was quite disappointing.
4.2
nice room but dirty carpet
staff seemed largely disinterested

The welcome from reception was amazing. I liked my cookies and that I could have a cup of tea . Nice shower not complicated to work it out.
My light didn't work when I put the card. Didn't complain though as I didn't need really much light .
4.2
Very comfortable and clean
Wasn't giving proper information about breakfast finishing times which led to us missing it by 5 minutes and been told it was finished, no apologies either

Comfy beds, amazing breakfast. Overall the experience was good and there was plenty of free parking.
Noise can be an issue, at around 11:30 I was woken up by shouting and what sounded like someone paying with a child this went on for 20 minutes.
4.2
Good decor. Relaxing environment. All staff were very cordial, from waiting, bar, to management. Room fresh. Very clean bathroom and good stock of shower products.
Cant think of anything that could have bettered.
4.2
on arrival the receptionist was welcoming, pleasant and helpful.
I was allocated a room without a double lock which concerned me being a solo female traveller plus next to an exit to outside. However, I was promptly allocated another room by the understanding, kind receptionist. I much appreciated this consideration, thank you 😊

The Waterfoot Hotel is located in the Waterside of the city. Our stay was very comfortable. The receptionist was exceptionally helpful and the room was clean and comfortable. We had lunch in the restaurant the following day and all the staff were very helpful and the food was excellent.
As it was a very cold night, the duvet on the bed could have been heavier or spare blankets provided.
4.2
Liked how quite it was
Bathroom needed more attention. Toilet and shower wasn't clean
