This was the perfect place for our family weekend getaway! The house comfortably fit our three families and had the perfect space for us to relax after a day on the lake. The dock was PERFECT for the kids to swim around and was located in a quiet part of the lake. We won’t hesitate to re-book this house for our next vacation!

Great location. House was perfect for a large family. Definitely recommend!

Maybe the best house for big groups I have ever rented. The layout of the house allows you to share common space but have some get away spots as well. The beds were fantastic and the owner was very responsive. From the water it is way back in there but that allowed for a quiet spot. The double decker dock was really nice. The owner is having trouble with renters abusing the kayaks and paddle board and unfortunately there was no paddle board available and one of the kayaks leaked in two places from being drug. The house made up for all of it though.

Vacationed here with 3 families, with combined 8 tween/teen/college students. House is fantastic - in great shape, comfortable and well-appointed, kitchen well stocked with tools for cooking, nothing was falling apart or broken. Well-situated on a quiet part of the lake, no development on the opposite shore. Many shady spots outside to sit - so even though it was a hot week, it was comfortable to sit outdoors on the dock’s 2nd floor deck most of the day. Lots of interior space as well; room to be together and also to separate for a bit. Further, Trey was welcoming, responsive, helpful, and easy to work with as a host. We would definitely return!

Beautiful home in a quiet part of the lake off the main branch, perfect fit for large extended families. Kids could play safely in the water on the boatramp or kayak or fish off the dock...or play games in the downstairs room without disturbing all the parents. There are plenty of sitting areas around the home, the best sunrise spot was the second floor of the boat house! The owner was extremely helpful with any questions, always responded quickly. The home had all the kitchen extras that are sometimes missing in vacation rental homes (i.e. variety of spices, matches, laundry detergent, blender etc). We will be staying in this home again for our next vacation.

Our stay was one of the best we have ever had. Trey was an excellent help quickly resounding to any questions. The house was very clean and comfortable. We used every amenity offered and never had one issue. we used the launch for our 26' tritoon and had no issues. great location and overall a great place to stay. In the last 6 years this is the best house we have stayed in. Thank you for sharing.

This house was absolutely perfect for our needs!!! Our party of 9 adult family members had a fantastic, quiet wedding weekend together. The beds and bedding were very comfortable, the kitchen was large and had everything we needed, and the downstairs game room area was perfect for our young adults. Out host, Trey, was helpful and responded quickly to our questions. The view from the home is spectacular, even in the winter months. Though it was too cold and windy to enjoy the kayaks, they were available to us. Instead, we opted to enjoy the outdoor firepit. We hope to be back in the warmer months to enjoy some swimming and boating. I would definitely recommend this home and host for future trips.

Every other year our extended family rents a lake home for a Thanksgiving get away. This home is definitely one of our favorites so far! Our party included family members aged 89 years to 5 years and there was a perfect space for everyone. The home was the perfect size for our group. The bunk room was a big hit for the cousins to hang out. Everyone loved the basement game room with a mini-kitchen for drinks and snacks. The kitchen is well stocked and we cooked a full Thanksgiving dinner. The large family table was great for our big meal. Even though the water is down to winter levels we enjoyed the kayaks and fishing. The two story dock is a great place to catch a sunny nap or read a book. We did a bass charter with Randy Cound on a decked out fishing pontoon that we highly recommend! Dadeville is very convenient for restaurant and shopping needs. The home is a little dated but we had a great stay and would recommend for large families.

Our whole family stayed here back in June and absolutely fell in love! We were not ready to go home when the time came. The property is absolutely beautiful; the house was well-layer out, spacious, and clean. Probably our favorite spot was the double decker dock. Because it’s partially covered, it’s a great place to relax, hang out, and play games, or if you want to fish or get some sun, you can do that too. Our host greeted us with a text the day we arrived and let us know we could contact him with any questions or concerns. Because of all these things, it is easy to rate this host and home 5 out of 5!

We had 13 people. Four couples and a child. Accommodations and house layout perfect. House interior was clean and functional. The setting is peaceful.
The footrest on the reclining loveseat was broken and a kitchen cabinet door had come off of the hinges (we fixed that).
The neighbors are very close to the property on both sides so privacy is limited. The fire pit is actually 40’ from the neighbor’s house to the left and their dock is directly next to the boathouse.
The outdoor furniture cushions in the boathouse were molded and in poor condition. There were spiderwebs throughout the boathouse. The internet and Wi-Fi was spotty all week.
Overall a good time had by all, but nightly rate not commensurate with standard you would expect.

Loved the house. Everything about it was perfect. The yard down to the dock is shaded with trees, not only providing a shaded area but also privacy from the properties next door. This is a very quiet and peaceful area of the lake but close enough to some of the more popular places like Chimney Rock and DARE Park. We will definitely be back hopefully soon! Thanks!

This house was beautiful! Very clean and lots of room for our get together. The kitchen was very well stocked for cooking. The back porch/deck was my favorite place to sit and relax, the chairs were so comfortable which sometimes isnt the case in rentals. The firepit was so fun to sit around and hangout. The owner was very quick to respond with any questions we had. Can't wait to plan another trip here.

Perfectly situated with things to do, no reason to leave...just float
We vacation as a large group every summer. This year 13 of the women in my family, grandmothers, aunts, sisters, cousins stayed at the home. The house has plenty of room for a large group like ours. There are enough "things" to do to keep us all busy and having fun. We brought our own kayaks and floats. The lake water was perfect for sunning and floating. The kids enjoyed the fire pit. There is plenty of wood on site stocked for fires. We found the kitchen well supplied with plenty of appliances and utensils. We had 5 vehicles and there was plenty of parking space. The property is located 20minites from Walmart and about 20 minutes from Oskars and Niffs on the lake (local eateries).

Great getaway for a large family.
Great get away with a large family. There was plenty of sleeping arrangements and sitting areas. The kids enjoyed the gazebo to rig up poles to fish as well as the top deck enjoying the view. The bottom floor was a hit with the pool table. Trey was always quick to respond to text messages and was so helpful. We brought our offshore boat and wasn’t comfortable trying to launch at the house, he responded right away and told us of the closest launch he uses. The house is stocked with everything you need for cooking with many pots, pans, and cooking utensils. Everything was clean and well maintained. We enjoyed our trip!

Great Outside Areas, Unfortunate Roach Issues Inside
I hate to give this property a slightly negative review. The location was great, and we really enjoyed the variety of outdoor spaces available (spacious patio, two story dock, firepit, gazebo). Inside the home, the top two floors were clean and had been recently updated.
Our only issues were on the bottom floor of the home in the room where bunk beds are located. This bedroom is listed as sleeping 8 individuals. The first evening, the two couples we had staying in the room found multiple roaches. Two were hanging from an air vent which hangs directly above a top bunk, another (large) roach was on of the beds, and yet another was on the floor. The two couples ended up sleeping on couches the first night. The second night, they found another roach hanging from the vent. We decided to move mattresses into the game room, which is where they slept for the rest of the stay. We did contact the owner, who apologized, texted that there was roach spray under the sink, and basically said "that happens when you live in the woods". This problem could easily be taken care of with better pest control, but the owners seem uninterested.

Beautiful home and lake property. Plenty of indoor and outdoor space for our large family of all age ranges to enjoy. Owner was easy to contact and quick to respond

House needs a good cleaning and repair
Home is dirty and dingy. Needed a good scrubbing to include the deck and docks. Couches were very worn and recliners didn’t work fully. Dryer was so loud we couldn’t run it. Only one eye of the stove worked and oven was intermittent. There were multiple live roaches and other insects inside. The bottom level is damp and should be updated with decent mattresses.
Upstairs and top level beds were comfortable. The front porch has room for a few people in the screened area. The back deck has more seating and looks over the water. The view is beautiful. The family had fun with our kayaks on the slough and the neighborhood was clean and felt safe. Communication with the owner is timely and check in was easy. We hired a full day of fishing with a local guide. It was worth the money. We will return to Lake Martin. This could be a five star property with some care and attention to the details.

Great place to stay
Really awesome house with a great spot on the lake. Very quiet part of the water with not too much boat traffic. Great boat house with seating up top and a really nice downstairs game room. Really worked out nicely and all 10 of us had a place to sleep.

Thanks

Disappointed
Mold in bedroom from
A leaking air conditioner
Scorpion in bedroom
Roaches in bed during the night
Room sizes / bed sizes seemed misrepresented
Expensive relative to 5 other homes that we had friends staying at
Surprisingly Not a place for more than one family … more of a camp type stay
Would think we would get money back if mold found in the bedrooms and we couldn’t use it but that wasn’t offered

Lake Martin house
House and grounds were in great shape! Boat dock was plenty big for 2 boats and lots of room for fishing and relaxing! The owner was very cordial and helpful and responded immediately to my questions. Gas grill ran out of propane about halfway through cooking our 50th wedding anniversary supper but a store was close by to replenish propane. Boat launch ramp was great! Very enjoyable experience!!! Thanks!

We went to Lake Martin with our family of 14, with Grandchildren ranging in ages of 1-10 years. We could not have picked a better place to stay. ALL of the outdoor amenities were outstanding. The 2-story deck was amazing. It was so fun to watch the boat come in with our grandkids tubing! The gazebo was another hot spot. We happened to have spectacular weather and were there on weekdays, so there was zero boat traffic. We enjoyed s’mores & guitar music every night at the fire pit. There was a nice big deck on the house that we sat and drank coffee every morning. So perfect. (For those traveling with babies, all of the outdoor porches had woven steel between the wood posts. The deck is manufactured wood, so very soft on the little feet. It felt VERY safe and comfortable for our littlest ones!)The basement was so much fun for the kiddos. Pool table, TV, games, left them plenty to do. The master bedroom was away from everyone on a separate side of the house, so it was nice to have our private sanctuary away from the chaos.Kitchen was good, nice big dining room table and also another dining area in the front porch gave adequate space for everyone to have a place to sit. We absolutely loved our visit to Lake Martin!!

Great spot
We have a family of 16 , 1 being 9 weeks old . The house was set up perfectly to accommodate us . We put the newborn with his parents in the upstairs master bedroom, with a private balcony looking over the downstairs and looking out at the lake . The grandkids had the ground floor bedroom to themselves and a bedroom for one set of parents to keep an eye on them . Their was a game room with a refrigerator , sink and large counter space for their stuff that kids have to bring with them . It had a boat launch , a covered dock with a covered lounging area upstairs over looking the water , a fire pit . Just a wonderful place to stay . . We will come again.

Beyond expectations
The house was spacious and very clean. The beds were comfortable, most had pillow toppers. We especially enjoyed the double decker pier and the fire pit area. There were lots of comfortable seating areas outdoor and indoor. This house accommodated 17 guest comfortably. I would definitely book it again.

Excellent multi-family weekend getaway
We planned a long weekend getaway to this property with multiple families, a total of 12 adults and two children. The property was perfectly stocked with spices and condiments and lots of cooking utensils, which we greatly appreciated since we made a small thanksgiving meal. The deck space and outdoor areas were beautiful. The downstairs became the football watching space while the upstairs allowed for catching up and sharing old stories. One thing everyone appreciated was the fact that there was a good size table on each level; lots of card games were played. It was a great stay.
