We rented this beautiful home for my Mom’s 80th birthday. Plenty of space for friends and family and a large kitchen for a private chef. Elevator was a plus and we loved the proximity to tram, kayak & pontoon boat tours at Ding Darling National Wildlife Refuge on Sanibel Island. Brian was very helpful and accommodating.

Overall my family and I loved our trip to Captiva. The house was beautiful and clean when we arrived, and the quick access to the beach was great. The view out the back of this home is one of the best you’ll find too. That said, for nearly $10K for a week - we were very disappointed with supplies in the house. Now, we didn’t expect wine in the fridge upon arrival, but we had 2 trash bags for a week for 10 people. There were only a couple Kleenex boxes. No additional paper towels. Barely enough soap and toilet paper. No iron. And zero extra sheets. And the kicker is that when I texted the number that we needed additional supplies, I first got a “cold” response back saying essentially it was my responsibility to get anything else. So, with 10 people there, where two of the beds are so small no one wanted to sleep in them and we needed sheets for a blowup mattress - I was told to deal with it. I did keep texting and they finally brought some additional sheets, towels etc - but very disappointed I had to deal with hassle on my vacation. Also, the house (like many on the water I’m sure) does have a slight smell to it inside. Overall, for the price, I gave the house a 4 and management and readiness of the house a 2 aka 3 stars. I wouldn’t not rent this house, but lower your expectation from 5 stars.

Excellent stay, this home was amazing. Even better than the pictures, we all remarked several times just how well decorated and spacious it was. Top notch and would stay here again in a second! Excellent communication and very responsive. Liked the ability to text vs call.

Great experience-Nice house
We had a great experience at Seas the Day. The property is nice overall, but has a few minor issues. The front stair lighting doesn't appear to work and even some of the grilles are off and laying nearby with exposed wires. We had a couple of other issues in a couple of the restrooms, but Maintenance was prompt about repairing. House is in an excellent location with lots or privacy and direct access to the beach. The kitchen is the highlight of the home.
Assuming a lot of the minor maintenance issues are corrected, this will be a great house for quite some time.

Fantastic trip to Captiva
We stayed here to celebrate my dads 70th birthday, and it was fantastic. The house is stunning, with the most gorgeous views from the outdoor areas. It’s furnished very comfortably, and quite spacious. We will absolutely be making a trip back.

Our family had a wonderful stay in Seas the Day.
Our family had a wonderful stay in Seas the Day. It was planned as a surprise birthday celebration, and it was very successful. There were 5 adults and 3 kids under age 5. The home was clean and very comfortable. We loved the location on the beach and the access to local restaurants. The home has many places to gather and relax, so we were very comfortable. As a plus, the decor was very much our taste, so we felt "at home". Stacey was very helpful early in the process when we were first processing the rental. She also recommended in-home chefs. We chose Michael Elias, who was an excellent chef and delightful!
The email we received just prior to the start of the rental had useful information.

The check in and out was very clear.
The check in and out was very clear. Never received any communication as to how things are going, can we do anything to assist, etc. which is fairly common. The home was quite lovely - however for such a nice home the household supplies (Kleenex, toilet paper, soap, etc.) were of the very cheapest quality. It stood out as very odd. It wind be better to offer nothing than that - cheapens the house and experience. We got locked out of house on last day (keypad would not work). Took over 4 hours for someone to get there. Woman called us and basically said it nothing was wrong with it. However, the person who came to check it said they had the wrong day on checkout and changed the code. My husband and I also got stuck in the elevator between floors due to power outage - I thankfully had my phone on me - and was able to call dream vacations. They were quick to say they would send someone - but electricity came back on very quickly and they did not have to respond. Never used the elevator again except to move luggage. Also, there was a beach erosion project going on during our entire week stay. There was a gigantic pipe running the length of the beach that no one informed us of prior to arrival - probably would have changed dates had we known. There was heavy machinery going up and down the beach until all hours of the night on a few nights.

Awesome House and Stay
We had a great stay with entire family (grandparents to grandkids). We love to cook, and the great room/kitchen was wonderful. Double oversized fridge/freezer with additional wine and cold storage in pantry (and ice maker!). Kitchen was a bit short on cookware, but property manager dropped off two additional skillets when we asked. Could have used a few more cutting boards and prep bowls (as I mentioned, we cook a lot). The property manager was also responsive when we arrived the first night with no AC on bottom level. A maintenance man was at the house within the hour and able to get it up and running. Two laundry rooms were convenient - only note would be that they could use a good clean and a note to guests to leave them open to dry. Not uncommon in humid beach climate, but some gunk/mold happening in washing machine. Bedrooms all comfortable (wow Master suite on top floor!), and the house seemed very quiet even with small children waking early in AM. Enjoyed sunset every night from gorgeous patio.
We lived at the beach, and the house was equipped with chairs and umbrellas and beach towels. Saw dolphins and lots of bird/fish activity everyday. The island was doing a beach restoration project, so a giant pipe was laid across the beach in front of house. They had made spots to cross over, and you didn’t even notice once on the other side. And our view was that it will only make the beach better, so it’s a good thing. We rented a golf cart from YOLO Watersports and made daily trips to town to the Bubble Room ice cream shop. Half-day fishing charter with South Seas resort was a blast. First trip to Captiva, and we will return!! Thanks for a great stay.

Amazing place in the perfect location!
The house is beautiful! We loved our location on the beach. We were a family of 9 adults and there was plenty of room for all of us. We rented a 6 passenger and a 4 passenger golf cart and that is all we needed for the week to get around to shopping, restaurants and excursions.. Overall, an amazing week vacation!

Rest for your soul
This amazing property was the place where a group of women laid the foundation for our new young women empowerment non for profit Gemstones in the Making. We woke up every morning to do yoga in the terrace and were inspired by nature. It was such a healing space that inspired each and everyone of us! Thank you for sharing it with us!

Thank you!
This house worked out perfect with the elevator for him to get around. He was able to hear the ocean from his room on days when he couldn't get up. The house was big enough that his wife, kids, parents and in-laws all got to be there. Thank you again!

Fantastic place. Right at beach, big place. Only reservations were no pool, no HD tv and no bathtub to bathe kids. But I would rent it again anyway!
