Nestled in the foothills of the Sierra Nevada Mountains, just a short drive from the south entrance to Sequoia National Park, Cinnamon Creek Cottage is ideally located for your weekend or week-long getaway! Built in 2004, our cottage is recently refurbished with the vacation traveler in mind. It will comfortably sleep six with an updated master bedroom king bed, guest bedroom queen and pull-out sofa. The kitchen cookware and serving-ware are also all updated and replaced as needed, as are linens and towels and great-room furniture. The house has been updated from top to bottom including a fresh coat of paint.
Our cottage is located in the heart of Three Rivers ranch country. You'll be bordered on one side by a neighboring cattle ranch and have the relaxing sound of the south fork of the Kaweah river drifting in from several hundred yards to the south. Ranch animals and wildlife are abundant. You may well see deer feeding on the back lawn, hear the call of coyotes at dusk or see cattle grazing just a few feet from the east fence. Wild turkey and quail frequent the area. A small stream occasionally flows through the backyard, varying from no more than a trickle to a steady flow depending on rain or irrigation from the ranch next door. You may even have a visit from the neighbors Labrador Retrievers, guinea hens or free-range chickens!
The house is fully furnished with everything you need. Just bring yourselves and food for meals if you plan to cook.
Cinnamon Creek Cottage is owned by a multi-generation family of Sequoia National Park employees and their extended family, and is decorated to reflect this heritage. Several of the owners are nearby should you have need. If available they may meet you upon arrival. If not, a key lockbox is used and you will have the combination, and a Welcome Book will guide you as you set up house.
Landscaping includes citrus trees and a beautiful rose lined fence in the back. The back yard has a large grassy area for play, and a picnic table with a gas grill.
The neighborhood is quiet. Typically the only traffic on South Fork Drive is local residents and occasional hikers, as the road dead-ends at Sequoia Park's Lady Bug Trail. Our cottage is at the base of Cinnamon Creek Canyon, a small mountain valley where many owners raise cattle and horses. Unlike in Three Rivers there is very little tourist activity. At most you may see a few neighbors out for a morning walk, or a cattle trailer or two moving livestock to the valley.
Highway 198 and Three Rivers proper is just a few minutes back down the hill. This pleasant drive takes you to a small town that caters to both locals and park visitors. There are several restaurants, a number of shops and a nice grocery store with all the basics. The south entrance to Sequoia National Park is just north of Three Rivers.
Should you choose to continue your way up South Fork Drive you'll find you are only a few miles from the little-used Lady Bug trail-head at Sequoia National Park. This is an excellent destination for a day hike, and is often used as a starting point for back-country campers.
Another great day trip is Kings Canyon and Mineral King, both part of Sequoia National Park proper. The turnoff is on the way to Sequoia's south gate, and is a winding, very scenic back-road up to an area less frequented by tourists. Take your time, and take a full day's supply of food and drink. There is only one place to stop for supplies on the way up if you've left anything (Silver City, great pie!). It would be a good idea to research a little online so you know what to expect. It is very much worth the trip.
You will pass Lake Kaweah on the way up the hill from Visalia. This is a large man-made reservoir and a favorite destination for boating, swimming, kayaking and fishing.
Attending a destination wedding at Redwood Ranch? We are one of the closest vacation rentals in the area. Just 2.6 miles from driveway to driveway.
Also, please note that we base price for two guests, and add $ 10 per person per night for more than two. This way when we only have one or two using the cottage, they are not paying for a bed and bathroom they do not use.
Our WiFi is strong and reliable, and we offer a small desk in the master bedroom for those who work from home.
Cell signal is AT&T only. Three bars at best.

We were here for one night in summer after a trip to Sequoia/Kings Canyon. It's a really nice secluded cottage just as advertised. Kitchen is great, comfortable accommodations, very friendly and helpful hosts. Definitely recommended!

Attention to the details and requirements was really good.

As advertised. While it was brief, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay. We would highly recommend this properly to anyone looking to explore the area.

We throughly enjoyed our stay our stay in this serene home. The house was very comfortable and accommodating. Stocked with all the necessities, and then some! The wildlife in the area was fun to take in off the porch, and the drive to the property was beautiful.

Beautiful spot! Very clean and quiet, perfect place to stay on your mountain vacation!

Our family enjoyed our stay at the Cinnamon Creek Cabin. Standouts for us included the beautiful setting (mountains all around, beautiful yard), the well-stocked home (plenty of towels for a family with teens, and plenty of hooks to hang all the towels on), and all the supplies we needed for cooking, cleaning, and taking care of the home. The house was perfectly clean and the beds were comfortable. The owners were very clear about the remote location, and that's no joke- you are about 15 minutes' drive from any services or cell service, but that's part of the charm. The star gazing is fantastic! Three Rivers was a cute little town and Sequoia National Park/King's Canyon NP were incredible. Thankful to Cinnamon Creek Cabin for giving us an opportunity to experience these national parks while having a comfortable home base!

We loved our short stay here. The place was clean, well equipped and enjoyable. Provisions were very thoughtful and the communication was fantastic with a lot of helpful information about the place, the area and nearby parks. The pizza location mentioned in the materials was fantastic. We would definitely stay again if in the area! Thank you!!

This property in is a ranching area 10 minutes from Three Rivers. Although there are neighbors you feel like you are in the country. Saw a lot of wildlife. The property owners were great to work with and provided the most detailed instructions and recommendations that I have ever been provided. We used it as a launching area for 2 days at Sequoia and 1 day at Kings Canyon and could not have been happier. Make sure that you follow their recommendations, especially for ice cream! We could not have picked a better location!

Enjoyed the cottage. The location was peaceful. The drive to the Venues was a bit farther then we thought but most enjoyable in daylight.

This property is, if anything, better than advertized. The cottage is clean, well appointed, warm and homey. It is well supplied with towels and blankets. We visited during the last of the atmospheric river rains, but still felt safe and secure. And the area is lovely and off the beaten path. Our host was thoughful, easy to contact, and made us feel very welcome. I can heartily recommend this property to others...but I hope you leave some space for us to return!

The cottage was a delightful place to stay in a beautiful setting. Richard was so helpful with all of my questions. The house was so clean and the kitchen was well stocked for cooking with all of the essentials and then some! We took the opportunity to venture out on one of the local hiking recommendations, and it was just amazing. We would never have known about it had it not been for the helpful list! We loved our stay and will happily return to the cottage!

Alright so honest review time.
This was our first time using VRBO and we were looking for a place to stay at for Christmas weekend which we knew was gonna tough to find near a national park and for a good price.
Surprisingly we found this location and it was good value and seemed too good to be true.
We arrived and the entering process was simple and the house was really good. It had a spacious entrance feel and everything was tidy and clean. The kitchen was well stocked. The lighting was great and the sofas were comfortable. The bathrooms and bedrooms were well maintained. I would recommend maybe adding a body soap bar to use in each bathroom.
The thermostat worked really well as the house had central heating/AC. The Tv and internet worked really well and they had Netflix so you can use your account and login.
The sequoia national park was hecka close by so this is a great location to stay if you want to enter via the sequoia side. If you wanna get to the kings canyon side in winter (since hwy 180 is closed partly) then you have to drive 1.5hr around. In the summer I assume there would be noclosures so this place would be great to access both parks .
The owners were really helpful and very responsive when we needed help with the propane tank for the outdoor grill. The grill worked but it was a bit old. It did the job But a newer grill would help. The oven worked well. The hot water lines were amazingly well functional as you get hot water in each tap and faucet really quickly.
Overall amazing stay and after days of hiking coming back to this house to rest and sleep and cook at was amazing and chill.
There’s also a village mart down the street so if you need supplies or groceries you can always run down there and get stuff.
Their coffee machine was stocked and I enjoyed drinking using the k cup pods in the morning with the creamer they provided. So thoughtful and nice of the owners.
I would recommend this vrbo to people who stay here if anybody asks me

Great experience beginning to end. Location is not far from main road but far enough to feel secluded. Could hear the river running and it was so relaxing. Property was great the hosts were great. Cannot wait to return.

We just stayed with my parents and kids. The home was easy to find and the owners answered some questions we had so quickly and nicely. They really care about your stay and the home. We drove to Sequoia National Park for one day and it was just perfect. My only mistake was I thought it had 3 bedrooms but it has 3 beds. I think I just read the posting very quickly and thought I saw 3 different beds in the pictures. My son slept on the pull out couch. No big deal really but he sometimes gets nervous on his own. It was very clean, well stocked, warm, comfortable and great price. Thank you for letting us stay at Cinnamon Creek Cottage.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at your beautiful house. It was very roomy and welcoming! Nice furniture and stocked with everything a person could need. Wish we'd had more than 3 days. We were minutes away from the wedding venue .... so great location! Thank you for your hospitality!!

Cinnamon Creek Cottage was so clean and comfortable, well-equipped kitchen, comfy beds, great porch for enjoying cool evenings. And it was wonderful to be so close to Sequoia and Kings Canyon, what spectacular parks! And thank you Matt and for recommending some must sees in the park (and for letting us check in early for much-needed showers after camping!)

We really enjoyed our stay at CCC. A very comfortable cottage. Richard was great to communicate with and Kate was very helpful with our needs at the cottage. We missed our connecting flight into Fresno and arrived much later than planned. I texted Kate to let her know. It would be dark when we arrived. Kate was kind enough to turn on the porch lights to help us find the cottage but more importantly get to the door safely. It had a great view of the mountains. Enjoyed coffee in the morning watching the wild turkey's or watching the sunset in the evening with a cocktail. Our first night driving up to the cottage, we encountered a bear in the road who ran in front of us for a while and soon ran into the woods. Close to the Sequoia entrance. Loved coming home to a very comfortable bed after a long day of hiking. We had a great trip. Thank you. Janice & Mark

Cinnamon creek cabin was great. Off the beaten path in a beautiful, quiet neighborhood and still close to market and restaurants. Very easy access to sequoia and kings cannon national parks for day trips. Squeaky clean house with all amenities available and easy access to owners for questions. Great porch for visiting and sharing adventures of the day. Would definitely come back.

We thoroughly enjoyed staying at Three Rivers. Communications with the host was very easy and informative. Everything in the home is as described and the home is quite comfortable. Nice area around the home with hummingbirds and great sunsets visible from the balcony. The property is relatively close to the national park. We also enjoyed the town.

This cottage worked well for our family of 5! Cottage is super clean, well stocked, A/C worked well, and the Wi-Fi is great which is a huge bonus. The house is about 10 min from town on a windy back road which is a very slight negative but would definitely stay here again!
