Exceptional

Stunning location, the cabin is extremely well equipped and even bigger than we anticipated. Lovely and very responsive host. An absolute hidden gem. We have told all of our friends and family about this place and will be back in the future

Very good

The cabin is beautiful with gorgeous furnishings. Like a home from home and very comfortable. Lovely & quiet area, a great resting spot. Nestled in the forest its an amazing feeling to sit out on the porch in the sun having breakfast with the birds in the trees tweeting around you. Just bliss.

A 5 star experience from booking to checking in to support from Derek the host. A wonderful escape from the day to day.

Beautifully located in the middle of the forest (but close by other lodges so not scary). A 10 minute drive from the Slieve Russel hotel which is great for a nice lunch. The cabin is really cosy and homely and clean. The phone coverage is patchy meaning lots of great conversation without distraction.

Everything was amazing. if I was to be really picky the water was a little bit off colour but that’s to be expected in the middle of the forest.

Space to escape and relax

This is an amazing house, very unique and enjoyable. The house was presented really homely and very clean. The pictures don't do it justice, it's very spacious and has everything you need for a couple or family getaway, its fully loaded. It is kind of remote but that's part of the pleasure, it's a real forest log cabin but with the luxury of modern living. Waking up to no sound of traffic or other people was bliss!

Due to the location internet is an issue but we were able to get some connection on our phones to keep in contact. Not really an negative for this type of get away!

Better than expected

The only things you'd need is your towel n clothes EVERYTHING is provided v clean and n not a callweb in sight gas for fire n plenty of electricity . Everything you need for cooking. We brought our own high chair n cot. Good shop 4 miles away. Best quilty and clean cabin we've stayed at

We loved our stay in the cabin! It’s so peaceful and relaxing. It’s a very big open space with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms. Love the cozy decor too! We hope to be back

We weren’t aware that the water was undrinkable and a yellow color due to iron level. This is fine just be prepared with plenty of bottled water with you. I might suggest also a printout of cabin rules and contact info inside cabin for those who are unable to get WiFi signal to access email.

Relaxing, very quiet, peaceful retreat.

Log cabin was beautiful and super comfy. Very clean and well equipped kitchen. Decorated with care and an eye for design.

Would recommend this to everyone we were very lucky with weather, signal isn’t great that didn’t bother us but just keep it in mind. Other than that couldn’t fault this place!

Fantastic break away in the log cabin. The location was great, very tranquil and relaxing. Cabin has everything you need and a great balcony for sitting out on. Couldn't recommend it more!

Very clean. Lovely shabby chic style cabin. Beds all very comfortable.

Towels not provided despite being listed on initial booking as an included item. We were informed the evening before we needed to bring towels - but because we had already left we had to purchase towels. No WiFi which made things difficult as there was no real mobile phone service due to the forest location. The owners should let you know this is the case. Given the price per night electricity usage should really be included.

Me and my partner and 4 kids stayed for 2 days in the cabin and it was beautiful there was plenty to do in the area and we had an amazing time will definitely return
