Ich hatte ein kleines Zimmer für mich gebucht und habe eine komplett ausgestattete Ferienwohnung mit Kamin, Küche und eigenem Garten in einem Nebengebäude erhalten.

It was a 1 night halt with family - was perfect

The staff was really nice. When we arrived, the room we booked were fully booked, but we got a better room as an upgrade and were very satisfied! Everything was clean and the room had a cool design. The cleaning ladies were also super nice and provided us with new towels and everything we needed.
Unfortunately, there was too little toilet paper in the room.

I liked the service, the apartment was very special, paintings all over the walls in- and outside. The breakfast was also very tasty. The host was very friendly and nice. Parking for the car is also possible. We enjoyed our stay. If you are looking for something unique, there it is.

Breakfast was amazing. The price was more than reasonable for the selection of food they provided (salmon, fresh fruits etc).
Cannot say anything, overall it exceeded my expectations.

The hotel looks really very nice, is not expensive and is conveniently located near the highway for a stop over when travelling for instance to Italy from the Netherlands. Free parking was available in front of the hotel. The rooms were comfortable with even a little kitchen and nice decoration. The lights on the ceiling can be turned of seperately if you want to :-) The breakfast was good, and eggs were made on request.
In September the cook was on holiday :-( so we missed the dinner in the great looking restaurant. This was not really a problem and we were informed beforehand. Fortunately we found a huge terras in front of the cinema after a 15 minute walk and we had very tasty fajita's. The surrounding area is less pitoresque then the hotel itself would suggest, but for one night this doesn't really matter.

Outrageously kitschy decor. It's was so out there, that we couldnt help but love it. The apparment was very large with a personal sauna, kitchen and a master bedroom upstairs. Super friendly staff and a great breakfast.
The room was hot and lacked airconditioning. The shower/bathtub was too small: nobody likes a shower curtain sticking to their body.

Really good value for money.
Excellent location for us. Very close to the freeway.
Nice and friendly staff and effortless check-in/out.
No bed lamps. But seriously, this was really not an issue.

staff very friendly and room was clean also breakfast was really nice
There wasn’t any minibar in the room and they could fit small minibar on each room for gesture to have a drink.

superfriendly staff. We reserved 2 standard rooms but they offered us a larger family room with kitchenette for the same price. They also offered us a bottle of water when we left for the travel back to Belgium. The hotel is close to the highway.
outside it was 35 degrees so of course also inside it was warm. However we knew there was no airco when we reserved the rooms and took some cold showers.

Staff and overall Cleanliness
No lift and old style room interiors

Spacious and clean room with cool dimmable lights. Parking was very convenient, right in front of the entrance to the hotel.

The room was large with a nice balcony. The bed was a little hard, but they were able to give us extra blankets to pad the mattress and we slept fine. Parking was plentiful and easy. It was a quiet room.

Breakfast buffet plus a warm omellete or scrambled eggs they make it for you. Parking free in the hotel though limited you can park in the street for free provided you do not arrive later than 9 pm where most places are taken.Rooms big, well equipped, clean and comfortable, specially the bed, big screen and bathroom with private small sauna included and bathtub. People working there are very friendly after a couple of days we were like family and you can dine in-house for 5 euros plus the drinks, coffee and croissant for free. When you checkout they give you a bottle of you can choose between wine, beer, soft drink or mineral water for free ! as a gift. A good choice. Before Covid I used to travel 16 times around the earth in kilometers per year only with Lufthansa ( if this counts for my opinion )
There was a furniture for clothes in my room (number 5) which is not correctly leveled, it is somehow inclined to the front. I cannot forget that, because of my job I am permanently paying attention to these things which are not allowed at work.

I have stayed at the Hotel Tenne in Viernheim many times over the years. This was my first temporary home when I moved to the area to work at Sullivan Barracks in 2006 and I loved this hotel and the staff so much that I continued to visit them even after I moved into my permanent home. I left in 2009 and have continued to return again and again....many of the people have left or retired from the days when I lived there but the ones that are still there and the newer folks are still awesome....if you are in the area and looking for a great place to stay with an awesome breakfast as well as kind and attentive staff, this is a very sweet spot!!
Only thing I can say is that I do miss some of the people that are no longer working at the Hotel Tenne....but such is life, time moves on and this property is still one of the best places you will ever stay in this area, highly recommended!
