Staff were amazing, very friendly and helpful. The building is showing signs of age but nothing to complain about. Lovely view over gardens and Solent, breakfast was good.
Very low water pressure in shower

I think the room was a little over priced and quite run down and tiered
Bathroom was very dated and tiered and so was the bedroom

Location.
Noisy bar where food was served due to restaurant being unavailable to us on both nights. Third night food was not served.Lack of customer service due to staff being young and inexperienced lacking in rapport/engagement with us.

The room was spacious and beds were really comfortable!
The shower head didn’t fit on its stand so you had to hold it to have a shower

Staff lovely couldn't do enough for you.
Lovely area to sit outside and have a drink bar nice and clean but quite small
Lovely hotel could do with lick of paint. It's looking tired abit fusty in the corridor. The English breakfast the bacon was fatty poached eggs not cooked.

Room was clean.
Good location
Carpet thread bare, old and stained. Old tired furniture. Gap between mattress and headboard. Had to stuff with cushions else we would lost our pillows. Older breakfast waiting staff more polite and efficient. Young weekend staff could do with training.
Sunday breakfast was let down by tables not being cleaned regularly. Found our own table and cutlery ,but had to eat our breakfast surrounded by 5 dirty tables. No cups for tea or coffee available had to ask young girl who said they were being washed.

Lovely, friendly hotel in a pleasant location. Great breakfast. Would happily return in the future
For an old building the sound from other rooms was unexpected so there was a little noise at times. On street parking was available and free but may be a bit of a distance from the hotel. Neither of these things would prevent me from staying again though

Nothing!
Everything! Tatty rooms, serious refurbishment required. Peeling paint, corroded fittings, curtains hanging off rail. “Executive Room” had a 4’6” double bed and two bedside cabinets that just fitted and was approx 10’ long. Bathroom was a “galley” 7’ long by 4’ wide, dingy and uninviting. Badly scuffed walls. A deep clean is urgently required. Parking is on a busy residential street and hard to come by. Disgraceful and extremely poor value.

We hadden een schitterende kamer met zeezicht. Heel veel nostalgie en een goede pub op de begane grond. Leuk ook het kleine tuintje aan de voorzijde van het hotel.

Lovely location. Nice breakfast.
Extremely tired ie the hotel door didn’t lock, we had to wedge it with a chair. The toilet seat was broken. The hot tap on the basin swivelled round. The bed creaked every time one of us moved.
The hotel is extremely tired and could do with a good amount of maintenance.

Location
The room was not clean and breakfast was slow and kept running out.

Entrance very welcoming and staff were polite. Bed was comfy and warm.
Unfortunately the room was tired. Damaged walls and water damage to the bathroom ceiling. Curtains were ripped and the tea and coffee in the room was disappointing. Water left in the kettle and tea bags taken out of packets.

Staff were smiley and helpful.
The hotel bar was light, airy and a nice place to go to.
Delightful public gardens across the road.
Hairdryer was a bit weak

Room was comfortable, location was good, breakfast was good.
Breakfast closed at 9am, we got there at a 9.20 and the staff was kind enough to let us have some cereal and what was left of the coffee and some toast and fruit. But disappointed that breakfast ended so early.

Food was excellent, staff helpful and polite.
3 rooms booked, one was on a different floor. However, this did not worry us and I felt no reason to mention it to the staff.

We absolutely love the setting and have stayed here 3-4 times. Stunning Georgian terrace and lovely friendly pub on the ground floor, serving decent pub food.
The rooms/corridors need updating as a bit tired looking.

We enjoyed our stay

Breakfast was perfect, but every das was the same. Location and parking was good.
The cleaning was terrible. They only wanted to clean when we were in the room. It was never cleaned during breakfast. They only knocked in the morning when we were usually in the room. During the whole week, the room was not cleaned once.

The Anglesey is clearly a hotel with a rich history and, during it's heyday, was no doubt a premier Victorian hotel. It has retained a lot of these original features whilst adapting well to 2st century life. All the staff we encountered were incredibly friendly and helpful and, the breakfast was excellent. All in all, it represented incredible value for money and, I would have no hesitation in recommending it to others. We will definitely stay again!
Nothing at all!!

Nice big room and friendly staff
Shower was very poor

The breakfast was good and the one staff member we encountered was very professional and helpful
It wasn’t clean in the room, dirty shower, not vacuumed, marks on valance, cups not washed properly, light pull black with dirt, light shade thick with dust.... and more.
The reception area dingy and depressing
The room was so small we had nowhere to place bags
They offered a takeaway breakfast for early check outs and we found it contained a porridge pot that needed hot water!

Staff are fabulous as is the food
Bedrooms are grubby - ancient cobwebs, layers of dust, lamps not working - a deep clean very much needed.

Fantastic breakfast. Location perfect for us visiting family in Gosport. Able to get to the beach by foot for a good walk every day/evening.
Lack of parking was the only issue, if you didn’t park up early, difficult to find a spot,

Not many hotels in Gosport, have stayed in the premier inn. This is better. My wife and I stayed in the annex which had self catering facilities my daughter and family stayed in main hotel. It was clean and tidy , bit run down but ok. Would stay again and would reccomend the annex rooms.
Parking can be hit and miss.

Nice location but that's all.
Very warm, small, shower broken, dirty spots on floor and the blinds didn't work at the window. No WiFi at the 3rd floor while they say there is free WiFi. You expect better for that money. For half of the money I stayed at the travelodge and that was even better.

Location.
Generally in need of an up grade, terrible dribble of a shower standing dangerously in the bath with no non slip, badly squeaky ensuite door, wardrobe that didn't open.

Lovely period property, breakfast was delicious and a great choice on offer
Room was very tired looking and shower not that powerful. Parking also not that great as only off road
Check in on the Saturday there was only one member of staff manning reception and the bar so not ideal

Comfortable bed, breakfast was ok. Staff were pleasant. It was close to our destination.
Toilet in our room was filthy but staff did clean it on request. General cleanliness in the room left a lot to be desired, it was very dusty and the fridge was grim.
