Nicely decorated internally, grounds are nicely landscaped. Pool, jacuzzi and sauna are lovely.
Rooms are on the small side. A few details let the property down such as placement of air con units behind full length curtains or so they directly blow over the bed. Towels are on the small side and tissues are a basic type not soft. In a superior room for €265 a night we would expect a bath and shower not just one or other. We didn’t like not having a menu at dinner and being told it was a surprise. This isn’t good if you don’t like some food items or have allergies. When my husband had a live caterpillar in his food and we pointed it out to the waiter he laughed rather than apologised a surprising reaction. That said the food was good. There is also a lack of printed information in the rooms regarding facilities, menus etc which we would have found helpful.

The owner couple purchased, restored and operate this lovely hotel and spa. They are both welcoming, professional and a pleasure to speak with following returns from adventures each day. The rooms are incredibly spacious. We were concerned we would not have anything to do and see in such a small town. Well, we ran out of time. The Tour de France passed through one day. There are incredible waterfall hikes, beautiful drives in the area and a quaint town nearby. We drove 30 minutes one day for a lovely wine tour. In addition, MZ offered a lovely breakfast with freshly squeezed OJ, wonderful coffee and freshly made pastries for 15 Euro. One of our favorite things at MZ was dinner. It offered one seating per night for all guests and a surprise four-course menu. We enjoyed dinner immensely two times. This place is romantic and also excellent for business meetings since it offers many tucked-away areas.
There was nothing we did not like about this lovely resort.

We enjoyed the garden and the beds around the swimming pool. We especially enjoyed the bar and the gourmet dinner. Very friendly staff in the bar and the restaurant. Nice wine list with quite a few good local wines.
The pool is a bit small for laps. We would have enjoyed having breakfast a bit earlier.

The concept of the hotel. The relaxing atmosphere. The highly enjoyable dinner and breakfast.
In a cold climate, due to the type of the heating equipment in the room, it was rather difficult to keep the room temprature stable at first. But after all it was never a serious problem.

An exceptional place. Attention to every detail throughout the complex. Great tips and guidance from the hosts. An exceptional restaurant with a tasting menu. The best wine list we have ever seen. Thanks for everything and we will be back again!
Everithing was just perfect :)
