About this cottage rental

Come stay in our beautifully updated, historic miner's cabin in scenic Trinidad, CO, with lovely views of Fisher's Peak from the front porch and bedroom window. This charming cottage has original, blond wood floors, a full-size kitchen with full-size stove and refrigerator, separate bedroom, 3/4 bath, and a full-size washer/dryer. We have installed a new ceiling fan in the living room and new floors in the kitchen and bathroom. Our cabin also has had new Anderson windows installed this year. The cabin has a/c for your summer time comfort. You will have access to the front yard, backyard and deck to enjoy the beautiful Colorado weather. It is walking distance to historic Kit Carson park, and we are just five blocks from the dispensaries, restaurants, and bars on Commercial Street. We are 420 friendly inside and on font porch and back deck. As our guests, you will have sole access to our extra-long driveway. While we love our fur babies, pets are not allowed due to other guests' allergies. Please no tobacco smoking inside. Our cabin is perfect for couples looking for a romantic getaway or for single travelers who seek a safe, picturesque place to relax. Bicycling enthusiasts will also be pleased with ample space to keep their bikes and other equipment.
We are dedicated to keeping our cabin clean and hygienic. We always wash our sheets and towels in hot water. We use disinfectant wipes to wipe down all surfaces. We take the cleanliness of this cabin very seriously as we want our guests to have a great time visiting Trinidad while feeling safe.

We were there only one night but would definitely stay there again. It was very clean and the host and hostess were very accommodating. I would recommend their cabin to anyone just wanting peace and quiet for their overnight stay.

Great location to walk to a beautiful park and through the neighborhood. Loved sitting out on the front porch in the wonderful rocker chairs! Kitchen was well stocked with all you need to enjoy your stay.

My husband and I stayed two nights while we celebrated his 83rd birthday by "discovering" Trinidad. This was the perfect place for a couple -- near the downtown, but in a quiet neighborhood. The place was immaculate, and had many small "extras" that made our stay go smoothly. The house was comfortable and well-decorated. The front yard was full of sunflowers!

House was just right size for myself and spouse and was very clean. Just wished that is would have been in a little nice neighbor hood to enjoy sitting outside. Rear deck needed some work done and front area of the house could stand some work to get rid of the sunflowers, attracked alot of bees and grasshoppers.

This place is ok but we stayed here in the middle of summer on a 100+ degree day. We arrived in the evening to find the house with the air conditioner turned off even though the description states it is air conditioned. We should have just left but instead suffered it out all night. NOT enjoyable at all! Finally about midnight, the air temperature finally reached around 72°.

Only stayed one night but it would be good for a longer stay. Wonderful little house - smaller space but good layout for room to spread out. Very clean. Washer and dryer worked great and didn't take forever to cycle to finish. Concrete ramp up to front door makes it so much easier bringing in luggage. Enjoyed the front porch rockers. Super easy check in and out - loved that the only leaving request was to lock the door. Loved the ceiling fans.

We had a great time. The cabin was warm and cozy. We found the hosts helpful and the neighborhood quiet. We enjoyed some of Trinidad's restaurants, but the kitchen was ready to use for meals.

We found the property clean and ready to use. We prepared light meals, but you could do more complicated meals if you want to take the time. We enjoyed our extended stay in the cabin for the privacy and extra space.

Cute house with great view of fishers peak and simpsons rest. Very clean with easy access to downtown. Mattress was too soft for our liking so one of us slept on the couch.

Needed a place to base out of for the Rad Gravel Bike festival. This cozy home was perfect in every way. Clean, and all details totally thought out. History and memorabilia throughout the place, what a deal!

The pictures do not do this little cutie justice!!! The cabin was super clean and property instructions were easily found in the binder along with lots of other nifty info on trinidad. The neighborhood was safe, remarkably quiet and provided easy access to both parks and the trailhead. Water pressure was amazing! I did not use the back yard as I spent a lot of time on the front porch admiring mt fisher while chatting it up with the areas cats. While the home does have AC, all the windows are screened and I did not need to turn it on! I am very much looking forward to staying here again the next time I come to trinidad! Thank you!

The 'Perfect Miner's Cabin' was a excellent oasis from the stress of travel and sight-seeing. The tidy, little cabin is nestled below the lights of Simpson's Rest, and is well-situated from Trinidad's old downtown area where there are numerous antique shops and restaurants. We definitely plan to return when we are in the area again.
