The location and view
How many stairs it was to actually get to the hotel and room . It does not show on ANY photos at all . Also the cost of food and drink was not comparable to other hotels and more upmarket hotels were cheaper to eat and drink at .
Also only 4 beds at the pool area

Fantastisk beliggenhed med terrasse direkte ud til rismarker.
Alt levede op til forventningerne.

The staff were kind and the hotel was full of greenery and the room was clean
It would have been better if the free drink was a plastic bottle
"It had nothing to do with the hotel, but it was raining all my stay, so I had nothing to do in the rain, which was very disappointing."

Food was good, lovely swimming pool and great place to relax through the day.
Noisy at night because it's not insulated.

We loved everything, we wished we could stay for a much longer period! We have already decided that when we come back to Bali, we would like to stay in Sidemen for a much longer period.
Only suggestion I have would be to put solid blocks by the shower head instead of one - move the rocks to the entrance of the shower

Very nice stay. The staff were welcoming and did everything to make our stay comfortable. Meals were good and Sideman very relaxing.

clean,
Green and peaceful garden
lovely swimming pool
great location with view on the field and easy access to village restaurant
staff
the painter on the wall in the room were oldish and a bit scratch
we chose an extra activity with the hotel , it was sold as being a “3h guided rice terrace treck”
and it looked more like a walk around the village with a random habitant knowing his path. after one hour we were still in gardens with tomatoes 🍅 onions 🧅 and garlic 🧄 which is not really why we came in Asia for . it was over rated 350rp , we mentioned it to the reception they did not care …

The location was great, surrounded by a pepper farm. The staff was very helpful and I even got a birthday cake and the staff sang for my birthday, all free of charge. I also got a cake designed from towels and "Happy Birthday" written in Balinese from leaves which was a very nice touch. They also helped by removing a few tokay geckos (the bigger ones) from the ceiling (more on that below).
We used the laundry service which was very well done. Breakfast was plentiful and personally, it's where I had the best Balinese coffee.
We also took an offering class in which we prepared everything from scratch and then made the offering at the altar nearby. We highly recommend it. The Balinese massage was also really good and relaxing.
The high ceilings and the fact that there's a big enough entry right at the top for bigger geckos was a minus for us. My partner is really afraid of them so each night we had to call the staff for a bit of hunting. They didn't manage to fully remove 1 as it cleverly hid right above the top beam which provided good shelter for it. 10/10 for effort though.
The Balinese massage we got was good and relaxing, but the room it happens in is a bit dingy and smells a bit of mold. If you don't mind that it's a lovely experience

We simply loved this place which has been the best on our 2 month travel across Indonesia! The rooms have a splendid view on the rice fields, right next to a fantastic pool area. All super clean, amazing breakfast, and the staff has been incredibly friendly and supportive. The location is ideal to discover the region. Go there if you get a spot and see it yourself!

The property is in a perfect location, close to local restaurants and stores. Amazing atmosphere around the hotel which is likely due to how lovely the staff were. Gorgeous views to wake up to in the morning. Have to try Asri restaurant 10/10 (5minute walk from the hotel).
Nothing.

I had only one night at Pelangi Villas as I had to travel back, but next time I will stay at least for a couple f days. It is so peaceful located between the ricefields. You hear and smell the nature. The bed is was fine. there is a fan and airco. You can make tea or coffee as there is a kettle. small fridge to keep your things cool. Nice shower. Small pool to relax and used their bicycle to explore a bit.
Nice breakfast. Diner I had outside. Booked a 90 minutes massage which was great.
nothing to complain.

The accommodation is amazing. A small resort with only 5 or so villas but it’s perfect! You wake up to incredible views of the rice terraces every morning. All accommodation is decorated with the traditional Balinese style with the outside bathrooms etc. A nice pool with a view, a little restaurant with rice terrace views, and you can hire bikes or scooters for the day to go out exploring.
The staff are amazing! The loveliest people you’ll meet. Made us feel so welcome and they make the effort to get to know their guests.
It’s such good value for money. We really enjoyed our stay!

Great view of the rice fields and good value for money. if you’re looking for somewhere quiet in Bali to soak up the beauty, this is the place.
The room’s roof was not entirely closed and so quite a few creatures got in throughout our stay, but nothing major

The Villas are beautifully situated, in the middle of the rice fields. From our room we had a fantastic view all the way to the ocean.

What an amazing hotel. The rooms/villas all have a great outside space with an amazing view! The rooms are beautifully decorated, spacecious and clean.
The hotel is located in between the ricefields and has a beautifull garden.
The surroundings are amazing and Sidemen is a great place from which you can visit a lot of temples/waterfalls.
Breakfast is good and the staff is most friendly and provide good suggestions. Keep up the good work!
Allthouvh the matrasses are super, the bed itselfs creaks.

The staff was nice. They surprised us with a beautiful "happy honeymoon" flower arrangement, which was such a nice touch, we really appreciated it. The pool area is very nice and the property is beautiful and well taken care of (the garden/pathways/etc). Beautiful views of neighbor chili and marigold farms. The shampoo/conditioner/soap provided smell super nice. I read a previous review saying there is no aircon, but our room had aircon and also a fan, which was a nice surprise.
The hotel was very disappointing for us. It's nicely decorated but the small details made a big difference. For example, beautiful, big bed, but linen had holes and stains, the bed was uncomfortable and made lots of noise. Nice outdoors bathroom, but the door was not closing properly and the toilet seat looked very old and unkept and the whole toilet was unstable (it moved when you sit on it). There was a small closet room available, but we didn't use it because it stank so much (no window = no air circulation).
The food was a big disappointment. I don't understand the reviews saying breakfast was amazing; it was ok, but nothing special. We had dinner there once and food was missing flavor/salt/spices. We ate somewhere else for our other meals.
I also used their laundry services and that was terrible. They told us our clothes would be ready the next day, then said "actually, it will only be ready the day after, in the morning". We got our laundry only in the afternoon of the second day and it STANK. Clothes were not properly dried, but were completely wrapped in plastic and delivered to us damp and smelling bad. It was the most expensive laundry service we used in Bali and we would have been better off just waiting to wash our clothes at our next destination (where I anyway had to re-wash everything because of the smell!).
I complained, but I think the reception lady did not understand what I said and just laughed awkwardly. Sometimes their English was not the best - no problem with that. In fact, I was so annoyed and wanting to leave, I just paid and left.

The staff is very friendly and always available, they help as soon as possible. Speaking good English. Also staff help with e.g. renting a scooter or full day driver. The pool is also nice and clean. The location is good, many nearby restaurants at 10 min walking distance.
Every day we had bugs and insects in our room, from frogs, small lizards, spiders, centipedes we saw it all. The rooms should be isolated better.
The bathroom (toilet, sink, mirror, lighting) is outdated and needs renewal.
Last day of our stay we also found bugs in our breakfast. This was really bad. We told this to the staff. Eventually no compensation for this inconvenience.

great place to stay. the rooms are modern and beautiful decorated. the toilet not so much (just older) but it was fine. location was great!
apart from the toilet being a little older the place was great.
