Super comfortabel en mooi verblijf

Het was een erg fijn verblijf met een prachtige natuur! Het verblijf is gelegen naast een rustgevende rivier. Het heeft prachtige kamers en huisjes. Het personeel was erg lief en behulpzaam. We konden aan de receptie gemakkelijk activiteiten boeken, massages boeken en een taxi regelen. De eigenaren zijn deels Nederlands, maar beschikken de kennis over meerdere talen. Het was een uitstekend verblijf!

Can be better but beautiful place

The villa and the welcoming was truly perfect! Love the place and this is so relax! I little bit disappointed about the mention in booking said a bottle of wine or champagne featured in the room, this is not true… only coconut water and after discussion with the manager he offer only a glass of bag wine.. not really happy about that. I was maybe excepting much better for a resort expensive like that, but I do not regret because this is a superb place to escape in the nature!

This place is really the best place to enjoy Balinese hospitaly in an amazing natural setting

the property which is already very nicely designed in the huge garden next to this amazing river, is seeing some nice upgrades with a new larger bungalow offered right next to the river, stunning!

Un petit hâvre de quiétude (à peaufiner) Très bien

..le calme, dans un bel espace, verdoyant (fleurs, plantes,arbres fruitiers) où coule une rivière . ..la proreté et le confort du logement , la salle de bain avec douche extérieure ( nettoyage tous les jours) ..la petite attention du matin posée sur la terrasse (eau chaude et sachets de thé) ..un personnel discret et à l 'écoute

..pas de bouilloire dans la chambre. ..pas de wifi dans la chambre, ok, mais aucun moyen de joindre quelqu'un (voyageuse solo, logée dans un des trois logements au fond du parc). ..l' éclairage menant aux logements du fond n'est pas suffisant. ..le plastique le long de la rivière, visible que si vous vous y approchez ..Après les massages, pas de boisson, ne serait ce un verre d'eau.

The real nature experience

The nature and the river , the staff are very nice, the restaurant has tasty local food.

Poor phone signal , no wifi , no phone at the room so we cant contact the room service, very large lizards enters the room and the poop is on the floor. The rooms has no A/C

In love with this spectacular place!

An oasis of peace in harmony with nature and extraordinary energy! Our stay exceeded our expectations and it was hard to leave. We highly recommend Darmada Eco Resort and look forward to many more visit in the future.

Tido estava ótimo, o quarto não tem ar condicionado, mas tem 2 ventiladores e por isso não fez tanta falta

Een fijn verblijf in Sideman

Het is een prachtige plek aan de rivier en vlak bij de rijstvelden in een geweldige omgeving. Huisje stond wat verder van de rivier maar was wel fijn vanwege het geluid. Zwembad is fijn, het personeel erg vriendelijk en behulpzaam. Het eten is lekker en ontbijt heerlijk. We hebben genoten van dit plekje. Zeker het bezoek waard voor een paar daagjes. Er word hard gewerkt om als de rivier die buiten haar overs gaat het resort te beschermen met muurtjes.

WiFi op de kamer zou wel een aanbeveling zijn. Er is een prachtige badkamer met decoraties maar helaas zonder goed licht als je wilde scheren. Onze douche liep wat minder maar deed het wel goed op dag 1 van ons verblijf.

A favourite stay on our travels, would love to come back.

Our Villa was right on the river where we could see villagers and wild life. Beautiful staff and surrounding villages where you can see the real Bali.

One night we didn’t close up doors in time and had lights on and attracted bugs but we should have known coming from Australia!

A relaxing stay in a place brimming with natural beauty

Incredible location and rooms. It's located within a beautiful forest-like area. Falling asleep to the sound of a flowing river was fantastic. The massages are highly recommended too!

The restaurant is beautifully located by the river. Unfortunately, the food is well below local standards but priced higher. It's a shame, because if the food were a little bit better I'd love to have dined there every night due to how beautiful the surroundings are.

Connecting with nature

We loved this place, unfortunately we only stayed 2 nights. The food was just delicious, our room just perfect with a beautiful patio overlooking the river. And staff was over friendly! Would go back for sure!

This place will take you back to nature and appreciate all that is good in life 😊

We loved everything about the Darmada it was like paradise in a rain forest. Our room was clean and peaceful. Quite open to the elements but you have to expect that if you stay here. The pool was wonderful, the staff so friendly and lovely food! The best place to stay if you want peace, quiet and a slice of paradise.

Only thing I can think of is new yoga mats as they were very old!

PEACEFUL/ONE OF A KIND EXPERIENCE

Everything was immaculate! The rooms were gorgeous overlooking the lake, I’ve stayed in a lot of resorts but I have to say this one is one of the top on my list! The food is OUT OF THIS WORLD. The palm reading experience with Wayan was beautiful and to know that he’s the owner of the resort, hats off to him, he’s done such a brilliant job. What I loved about this property is that I wasn’t locked in my room I could wander around anywhere and sit and just watch the beautiful nature this property is enclosed in. 100% recommend! They’re also certified, so their hygiene is lovely.

Really beautiful site - it was such a tranquil escape for a few days. The staff were very helpful, I had a very relaxing massage on-site and I loved the sound of the river while falling asleep. As a solo traveller, I had one of the cheaper rooms and really loved how much private space I had to relax and chill out.

The breakfast options weren't as good as other places I stayed in Bali.

An unspoiled jungle paradise

I can only say nice things about Damada Eco Resort. First of all, the Sidemen area is a peaceful jungle paradise, unspoiled by mass turism. The Resort is located right next to the Sidemen Rice Fields, which provide a breathtaking view of the mt Agung volcano. You will have it all by yourself to enjoy. My partner and I rented scooters from the Resort for only 75,000 RP per scooter per day. We Saw the Holy Besakih Tempel, mt Agung and Lots of beautiful waterfalls within reasonable travel distance from the resort. The Resort itself is beautiful and well kept. It felt like a little jungle getaway. The restaurant had very good food, we loved each dish we tried. The staff was extremely friendly and helpful with every single request we made. The owner of the Resort personally came around to make sure that everything was to our liking.

Everything was good, honestly can’t say anything bad about this Resort even If I had to try.

A relaxed stay surrounded by nature

Great service. We had a nice cooking class next to the restaurant + we rented a scooter to explore Sidemen. Staff is super friendly and helpful. Superb surroundings; next to the water and surrounded by nature! Next visit to Sideman we’ll stay here again!

One of the nicest places we have stayed in Bali over the last fifteen years!

Loved everything! The location by the river is lovely and the grounds are beautiful. Our cottage was sweet and the two dining areas were very, very nice. I spent one morning on my computer at a table overlooking the river and cannot think of a more wonderful place to work.

We found our room hot at night, but learned that next time we can request a fan ahead of time. And we definitely will be back!

Beautiful and Peaceful Place

the room is beautifully decorated, clean and spacious, the staff is very friendly, helpful and attentive, the resort is close to the river and it is such a quiet and peaceful place to stay. I came here for spiritual journey, did yoga and meditation.. and this place helps me a lot. I will definitely come back and recommend this resort to others seeking mindfulness

the river sides are not very clean where here and there I saw plastics carried by the debris.. this is not the resort fault though but it would be better if they put more attention to it

Open air, rustic rooms in a natural setting

Lovely setting situated at the bottom of the valley alongside the river in beautifully landscaped grounds with streams, many little ponds and pathways crisscrossing. The resort is run on an ecofriendly basis which is something we heartily support as owners of an eco centric business ourselves. The owner Wayan was very friendly and welcoming. The ladies who checked us in were super lovely and very apologetic that our room was all open and not described as such and that our room listing should not have said we had an air conditioner. At the end of the day we were offered a complimentary hour massage each by way of apology which was very kind of them.

To be aware for the bug allergic or phobic all of the rooms are open air, with many openings, wooden slats over windows instead of glass for half the windows and decorative air bricks all the way around. Thankfully the bed does have mosquito netting. As the rooms are by a stream the water running is quite loud, especially with the open concept rooms. We could hear our neighbours clearly even over the loud river- as the walls are very thin for the adjoining rooms. As we travelled in the rainy season everything was very damp- unfortunately it was rather like sleeping under a wet towel all night. To note the rooms are very simply furnished and do not have fridges, kettles or a/c and the lighting is extremely low. Your neighbours, if over 5’5” can see into your shower, the bamboo walls are short for westerners 🤦 The restaurant was very hit and miss, we had lovely breakfasts and snacks however the carrot cake was more fruitcake and all of us returned a pork and pineapple stirfry that was simply inedible. It would be great if the listing was updated to reflect the open air nature of the rooms on offer. All of our party are westerners who live in Indonesia. All open accommodation is not the norm, even in Sideman ☺️ We were alarmed to learn that there is no garbage collection in Sideman and the locals discard of waste in the river. If you do visit Sideman please consider taking any waste with you so that it can be responsibly disposed of.

highly recommend, this is a place not to miss.

an incredible surprise, if you want peace and nature overload with endless things to do, this is the place. you can huddle in your room and that is plenty or take advantage of the activities. highly recommend. staff is unbelievable, villa is amazing, food is incredible.
