Seascape is a beautifully presented, modern waterfront apartment on Dartmouth's South Embankment. A perfect romantic escape for couples or for a small family trip in this beautiful riverside town. The angular feature window in the living room is a truly peaceful spot to sit and watch the boats come and go as the river reaches the sea. Located on the second floor, Seascape also has a private balcony with more river views, as well as a private on-site parking space.
Accommodation:
From the private parking space on Cole's Court, enter the private hallway/utility room with a washing machine, tumble dryer, and freezer - as well as space for boots and coats. Continue up to the second floor to reach the front door.
Inside, there are two bedrooms to the right and the main bathroom and additional WC to the left. At the front of the apartment, there's the open-plan living room cleverly built around the angles of the roof, with exposed timbers and a feature triangular window with views of the river, Kingswear, and out to sea.
The kitchen area is well-equipped with an oven, hob, microwave and fridge, along with breakfast bar seating. The dining area set under the angle of the roof has a modern glass-topped table with comfortable seating for four. We really enjoyed our stay at Seascape.
The views from the sitting room were stunning. Everything was clean tidy and functional. Brilliant having our own parking space, this really was a bonus.
My only concern was the lack of recycling bin.
Would definitely recommend and would love to visit again.

A beautiful apartment, really well furnished in just a great location! Up on the second floor so not great for those with walking difficulties but it’s clearly advertised as such. Just lovely decor, interesting art even on the walk up!
And then you get that picture window!!! Never bored of watching the lower ferry & boats go by just outside the window! And relax…! Great for the soul and just a lovely place to be!
Bonus is the parking space, not huge but perfectly ok for a mid sized car!
And a slight smell from the restaurant kitchen outside but absolutely nothing to detract from a fab place! Will def be back!
And Dartmouth itself.., enough to see & do; a great base to explore from with great restaurants for the evenings! Andria a must! But Bushells below also great & really welcoming!

Great location. Parking space is a plus but only for a small car. TV aerial needs fixing. No visitors book for comments and suggestions. Hob and oven fuse blew but housekeeper was very helpful.

Unfortunately the apartment hadn’t been prepared for our arrival but after a phone call the problem was resolved quickly. It’s a great location and a spacious accommodation. It lacked glass flutes for our champagne toast at midnight

Right on the estuary with beautiful views and the added convenience of a parking space. This was quite narrow but plenty of room for our Ford Mondeo estate. The apartment was fitted out to a very high standard and we really appreciated all those little extras added for the convenience of guests. Excellent communication from Dart Valley Cottages throughout. We have already recommended to friends.

Great location with outstanding views day and night. Very comfortable and well equipped, well maintained and parking space is a bonus.
Very clean although attention to detail needs to be given to under the beds as items were found in the second bedroom, which should have been dealt with by the cleaners.
The bath “sheets” as they are described are very small.
We will definitely be returning next year.

We spent a long weekend in Dartmouth and Seascape was the perfect accommodation. The apartment was fresh, modern and clean and had the most amazing picture window view across the river towards Kingswear. This property is directly on the water and a stones throw from everything you could need in Dartmouth. Unfortunately, we had to cut our stay short but we cant wait to return very soon and we'll definitely be staying at Seascape. Just something to note - the apartment is up 4 flights of stairs!!

Seascape is a lovely comfortable, well appointed apartment in the much loved town of Dartmouth. The views from the window are superb, no television required as the river is everchanging and is more than enough entertainment.
Great for a stay in Dartmouth, key position for all amenities and the parking spot is a real bonus in this busy town. Thank you seascape for a wonderful holiday. We would return anytime.

Beautifull appartment ,lovely view of estuary, well worth the walk up the stairs plus the added convenience of car park.Very convenient for all the nooks & crannies of Dartmouth & the extending country side & coast. The shower was new & worked well which is one of our prioirities when travelling,& a second toilet. The only negative was an untidy entrance outside & in which trailed up the carpet on the stairs not in keeping with the lovely interior of our accommodation.

We loved our three night stay from start to finish. Great communication from Dart Valley Cottages, parking was great and fit our VW T5 Van; the apartment had everything we needed and the washing machine and tumble dryer were really handy. You cannot fault the location and views. If it was dog friendly we would definitely return but doubt we would go back to Dartmouth without our pooch

Excellent short break accommodation, had everything we needed, smart, comfortable, well located, off road parking, good views. Would go back.

Stunning views amazing place we were lucky with sun shine all week x Only downside 37 stairs but this does help with the coffee and cakes consumed x. Bit noisy late evening local pubs moving bins about glass noise ferry stops at 11 pm x lovely airy flat opening velux roof light was great no pole found ? Son in law tall thankfully x Outside space to catch sun a real bonus as was the car parking space which does involve skilled reversing x Overall amazing place

Seascape is in the perfect location overlooking the River Dart and beautifully placed for walking to the Fort, Castle, cliff walks, the shops and along the embankment.
The apartment has everything you could possibly need for a relaxing, comfortable holiday stay and is very quiet at night. The carpets and furnishings are spotless and the accommodation is warm and light. Hairdryer, iron, microwave, washing machine, fridge etc. all look as new. The place has wonderful views from the lounge down the river to the sea and across to Kingswear. The balcony is a lovely sun trap with side views to the river and the fantastic fish & chip shop nearby! We certainly would love to return. Blackout blinds in the small bedroom would be the only improvement we would suggest. The parking was a little tight to get a Volvo XC60 in as cars were queuing for the ferry but once in, we were fine with room to get out and unload. A really wonderful place to stay!

Seascape is a lovely appartment in a great spot overlooking the quay very close to the Lower Ferry. The accommodation is excellent. The exclusive parking space is very useful as parking is at a premium in Dartmouth. Although the appartment was immaculately clean (compliments to the cleaners), the carpets could do with a clean as there are a number of stains on them (accepted that we were there at the end of a no doubt very busy season). We would definitely book again.

Lovely apartment in an excellent location with lovely views over the Dart River.
We really enjoyed our stay in Seascape, it is in centre of everything you need for a great holiday, with great views across to Kingswear. One of the advantages to staying in Seascape was the parking, it is a little tight for a mid-large cars but we managed, just be wear it is located in the road where cars wait to board the ferry but again this was not an issue. we really enjoyed watching the ferry every day going back across the Dart river.
The apartment is great, with everything you need for a stay in South Devon, maybe not so good if you have mobility issues as there are around 30 stairs up to the apartment but this is why you get such good views.
You are on top of everything, good restaurants, take away food if required and many trips on boats to various locations. We were able to leave the car at the property for a few days and explore by foot/boat which was great for us as we did not wish to drive out everyday.
There was good communication from Dart Valley Cottages from the start of our booking to the end of our stay, we received clear instructions on all we needed to know, I would look for other properties to stay from this company in the future.
We would stay here again if we return to South Devon.

As we have stayed with Dart valley Cottages for a number of years now we know we can rely on them and won’t be disappointed.
This is our second time in Seascape, which speaks for its self. And what a fabulous view. Thank you

Unbeatable view and location
Seascape offers unbelievable views across the harbour of Dartmouth. Off-street parking was incredibly useful. The apartment offered a great location with all the places we wanted to visit within a half hour drive.
It is up 3 flights of stairs though so you need to be fit!

An overview of Seascape, Dartmouth.
This property Seascape is ideally situated close to the lower ferry in Dartmouth and near local shops and restaurants.
It is set on the third floor and is well furnished with good amenities.
There is a side balcony, but unfortunately no front balcony. The view from the limited front window is superb.
There is parking which is excellent, but it is a tight space for a large car.
It is not ideal for older couples with mobility problems - too many stairs and no lift.

Great place
This was our second time here. It is in a perfect position for enjoying Dartmouth - fish and chips about a minute from the door and the ferries and restaurants a very short walk away. The view is always interesting and we even had a seal most days sunning himself right opposite the window. The flat is super clean and very comfortable.

A lovely apartment
We had a wonderful stay at Seascape in Dartmouth. The apartment was well appointed, clean and very comfortable. The views of the river are superb and we saw a beautiful tall ship during our stay as well as other interesting boats and ships sailing into Dartmouth.
I highly recommend Dart Valley Cottages who are a very friendly family company and a pleasure to deal with. We will definitely return .

Our return to Dartmouth.
The two best things about Seascape are the location and view.
Parking is also a bonus although is a bit of a squeeze for larger cars but we managed.
We felt that although our party was only 3 adults the glassware, crockery and cutlery was sparse meaning constant hand washing rather than waiting for the dishwasher.
The apartment was very comfortable with plenty of seating and the side balcony was useful!
The stairs to the 3rd floor, where the apartment is situated could be a problem for the less mobile.
We would stay in Seascape again.
Note to the owner, please replace the can opener as the one provided was was unusable.

Stunning views, beautiful location, clean and tidy apartment.
Absolutely stunning views, just as we had hoped. Couldn't have been a more beautiful location. We had everything we needed in a lovely clean and tidy apartment. The little balcony was lovely. Whilst the parking spot was a tight squeeze, it was doable even in our Toucson. We had a problem with one of the door handles coming loose but Dart Valley cottages sent someone straight away to fix it. Very impressed with the stay and service all in all. We will definitely be back!

Seascape, Dartmouth
We returned to Seascape, having enjoyed our stay so much last year. This year did not disappoint. The flat and the views were as lovely as ever. It is very comfortable accommodation, extremely well-equipped and in the perfect location to access all that Dartmouth has to offer.

Excellent views and always something to see even on a wet day
Our holiday at Seascape was carried over from 2020 and was well worth the wait.
The property is very well equipped and comfortable apart from the pillows which we feel needed replacing. There was plenty of towels but these were a little thin. Private parking was a big bonus and our large saloon car fitted in with no problems. The Sky Broadband was poor at times but this might be a problem in Dartmouth.
We very much enjoyed our stay at Seascape and have provisionally book for next year.

Room with a view to die for
The property was excellent. There is always something going on on the river, no need for a TV. The only slight niggle is that if you have a largish vehicle getting into the parking space can quite difficult. My car is quite big and I managed to get in and out ok but others may not.

Location great, lovely apartment which had everything that we needed. What a stunning view and so handy for everything in Dartmouth.

Fabulous apartment in a fantastic location and what a view
From start to finish the whole experience has been great. We were able to transfer our holiday from last year due to COVID-19 and Dart Valley Cottages were extremely helpful. Loved the apartment and the location, could stare at that view forever. Thank you to everyone.

We loved staying at Seascape. it is very comfortable and relaxing
Very comfortable and relaxing in a perfect position. It has everything you need and ideal for just walking out along coastal paths and so close to all of the individual shops and eating places. We will come back. My one gripe is the balcony furniture needs a good scrub to remove old bird droppings etc.

Fantastic location with outstanding views.
This was our second stay in this lovely apartment, we were not disappointed the second time around. It is in a fantastic location with easy access to the Lower Ferry, shops, bars and restaurants, which are all on the doorstep.
The apartment is modern, comfortable and equipped with all of the essential kitchen wear. There are plenty of towels provided and also other bathroom essentials.
The small balcony is perfect for morning coffee and evening drinks and wherever you sit you have great views of the river or the upper town.
As the apartment is on the second floor it would not be recommended for anyone with small children or mobility issues.
The parking space is a bonus, we have only been there out of season (October & April) and during these months it is no problem getting in and out of the space.
We will definitely be returning

Ups and downs
We arrived on the Saturday and was bowled over with the view and the apartment was very clean and modern, just how we like it, we had fish and chips from Rockfish and a bottlE of wine for evening meal all was well. Next morning the boiler was alarming and we had no hot water!! But we must give praise to Dart Valley Cottages, they done their utmost to sort this problem out including an emergency plumber, conversing with the owners and offering us a lesser alternative but come Tuesday the boiler died and needed major work so we decided to cut our holiday short and go home we were very disappointed. We have rebooked for April and we would recommend Dart Valley Cottages and Seascape. Thank you DVC for doing your best.

Check in times
I appreciate in these times we need to take extra precautions however a 5pm check in time and a 9am checkout time was difficult. There was a lot to do before checkout which meant getting up at 7am to make a lengthy journey. In the end we cut our stay short and left a day early as a result.

Seascape, Dartmouth
We very much enjoyed our stay in Seascape, Dartmouth. The views over the river were fantastic and the balcony provided valuable outside space (when the weather was fine!).The flat was very clean and nicely decorated and equipped with good quality appliances. Our medium-sized car fitted into the parking space with a little room to spare but it wasn't always easy to park due to the traffic queuing for the Kingswear ferry in the adjacent lane. However, this was a minor niggle and we would certainly stay here again. The location was excellent and quiet at night.

A great location best views in Dartmouth
A lovely flat with beautiful views, very clean, comfortable beds only drawback getting in and out of parking spot people don't keep the yellow box free!!!

Fantastic Views
Very nice property with fantastic views. Parking car in space provided a problem at times as immediately near ferry queue

Great place to stay but missed the creature comforts.
Presumably due to Coronavirus many of the comforts we had previously enjoyed were missing; the lack of cushions and reduced crockery were sorely missed. The quality of mattress and pillows was also what tipped the Comfort review into “Poor”.
Otherwise a great location, good WiFi but intermittent TV reception. That we keep coming back probably about says it all.
