The is such a beautiful property, me and my friends love coming up here to relax and unwind.

love the loons, cormorants, bald eagle, morning mist on the lake. Kayak and canoe, walks around the lake and nearby kangamangus trails! a great spot to love life.

The greatest thing about this house is the location. The lake is absolutely beautiful and, while it feels quite isolated, it’s actually very convenient for lots of local attractions such as Franconia Notch State Park and the Lost River Gorge and Boulder Caves. We enjoyed using the kayaks provided and they were easy to launch from the small jetty. This was particularly enjoyable in the early evenings when we’d pretty much have the lake to ourselves after day trippers had left. We thoroughly enjoyed the local wildlife - hummingbirds, loons, beavers

Property was exactly as advertised. A very cozy cabin on a small, peaceful lake. Our weather was overcast and rainy, but still had a great time on the lake floating and kayaking together. We had several delicious meals in downtown Woodstock and Lincoln. Was the perfect, quick getaway. Host was extremely available and responsive to any questions.

We have stayed at this cabin before, and return because of the beautiful location. It is a charming spot and a great home base for exploring the area. And views of the eagles, loons, and beaver on Mirror Lake can't be beat!

For anyone looking for a place to relax, cook, sleep, decompress, connect with nature, and absorb the night sky, this is THE place for you. The fireplace is magical. The kitchen is fully stocked for those of us who like to cook elaborate meals. We travel with 5 hungry boys so these accomodations were perfect. Thanks for sharing this gem with us Alexander!!!

We loved our stay at the Mirror Lake cabin! The kids are already asking when we can go back. Everything was very clean, comfortable, well-stocked, and well-decorated. We especially loved the cabin's proximity to nearby attractions (ski mountains, ice castles, etc). The sun coming up over the lake in the morning was lovely and we saw a lot of ice fishers as well. Thank you to the host for a great weekend!!

We had everything we needed for a perfect weekend of hiking and skiing. We enjoyed the wood burning fireplace and newly renovated kitchen and bath. Our host was very helpful and responsive. Definitely looking forward to staying again.

My husband & I found the downstairs bedroom very comfortable. Loved seeing the bald eagle most mornings along with other wildlife. Enough wood for the fireplace every night made for a cozy cabin. Local hiking and trails were wonderful. Our major complaint was the smell made it uncomfortable. Found the water was not drinkable with residue showing so we picked up bottled water. All in all, we still enjoyed our stay.

Fishing Poles need some love
Long version
This place was great. The decorations, books, activities and such all fall in line with what you would expect for a 'getaway cabin". Very little "human noise" (the highway does echo off the lake a teeny bit). Tons of wildlife (we saw a bald eagle and some beavers). Fishing was decent, even in October (we caught some sunfish, Pickerel and a few small perch). Kitchen was well stocked and ready for someone to whip up a helluva meal (we didnt use the kitchen except to use the dishes). There is plenty of split wood ready for the awesome fireplace!
The few things one should know just to be prepared:
1. If you have accessibility needs such as no stairs or a higher toilet, know that there are 4 outdoor steps leading to the front deck which are a little steep for some (my wife has mobility issues so we had to take extra care going up). And the toilet is not ADA height.
2. The Fishing poles need at a minimum new line or just replacement due to age. Only one had enough line to cast. Love these are even available but a little maintenance on them is needed.
All in all, this place is absolutely great! It truly is "ready to go". Be Sure to light a fire and enjoy the hearth.

Beautiful view from the deck!

There are many highlights of this tranquil lakefront location. Being on a small and very beautiful lake, canoes available and canoeing around the lake every day, seeing the morning mist rising off the lake and the refection of the moon. Hiking around the lake and all the nearby hikes.

We spent a week at Mirror Lake and loved all of it. The lake is calm and naturally beautiful. Lots and Lots of fishing, plus watching the eagles, loons, beaver. Our boys loved the kayaks and the rope swing across the lake.
The cabin was great for us. We grilled almost every night - enjoying dinner on the porch, then smores on the campfire. We have no complaints and hope to do it again.

The property and location is amazing. Simple and beautiful. We had a great stay.

Great Location, could use a toaster, Kuerig coffee, Laundry Facility and Definitely the porch needs to be screened in which would be simple to do and a huge difference.
The bed choices shld also be better, all 6 mattresses were extremally hard and given there are 6 there shld be a few that are softer (nt everyone wants a hard mat).
Pillows cld also use updating. These are all minor things yes but do matter. Overall I would encourage everyone to stay here as it dsnt get better for the location and views. The Bald eagle landed within 75 ft everyday and stayed for over an hour each time. Owner was very easy to communicate with as well. Awesome Cabin !!!!

Very cute and well maintained cabin/property on a lake teaming with wildlife. We saw an active pair of loons, eagles with a nest of eaglets, river otters, and beavers, all during our brief stay. Fishing was pretty good, mostly trout and some blue gill, perch and pickerel. The location is great, just 15 minutes from Lincoln, while still being fairly private. There is a public beach on the other side of the lake that is fairly active, but no motor boats are allowed on the pond so it didn't really affect our enjoyment of the lake or the fishing.

We couldn't have been more pleased with this cabin. We do intend to come back. We used it as our base for 4 hikes during our Memorial Day weekend. Great as a base camp! I could also see this is a great vacation spot for just lounging around. Location is ideal and well suited for our plans.

This is a small cabin right on the edge of mirror lake and a few minutes off the beaten path. We were less than 10 minutes away from North Woodstock restaurants, bars, cafes, shopping and groceries and were 24 minutes away from the Ice Castles in Lincoln. Just a group of moms looking for a relaxing weekend away and this fit the bill. The kitchen was well equipped with several accessories which was nice.
Only word of caution is if visiting in the winter we’d definitely recommend 4WD as we did require it.

We had a very nice time. Well appointed house, plenty of firewood, and a beautiful location.

Our family had a holiday vacation at this home the week of Christmas. This home is beautiful, cozy, and had enough room for our large family of 8 to fit comfortably. My favorite part about this home was the privacy and the fireplace. We spent the week doing things around the area, snow tubing at Cranmore, snowboarding at loon, shopping and movies! We also skated on the lake! It was a fantastic trip and the home was perfect! Would definitely recommend!

I surprised my wife for a get away weekend it was perfect.
The house was just as described, very relaxing and cozy.

We were glad as we were driving the last few roads that it was still light out. As we pulled in and saw the reflection of the foliage on the lake and this cozy log cabin we were all delighted. We walked in and both of my friends agreed, “this is what every vacation home in New Hampshire should be”. I rent at least 4 or 5 houses a year for vacationing and it isn’t often that I will repeat a place as I like to try something different every time, but this one I will definitely return to. Very responsive owner without being overbearing. A view that is gorgeous from sunrise to sunset. The perfect combination of cozy log cabin but modern where you want it: kitchen and bathroom. Can’t wait to come back.

Beautiful rustic log cabin. Very private at the end of a long dirt driveway. The deck overlooking the lake was very large and comfortable. We spotted bald eagle, Loon, King Fisher, Hummingbirds and a cute squirrel who was a frequent visitor on the deck. The rooms were very comfortable and cozy. Everything we needed was available including the owner who was easy to contact and more than accomodating. We loved this place and hope to be back again!!

The cabin itself was perfect - bring drinking water and lots of ice. The kids spent hours catching frogs in the lily pads. The lake was clean and awesome for swimming, floating, and kayaking. Kids caught some little fish. Adults caught no fish. Saw a pair of eagles each day, a pair of herons and a family of otters. The nearest store is 20 minutes so come prepared. Only complaint is the house needs a deep cleaning. Would definitely book again!!

Fourth visit in the past 6 years
We have rented this property four times since 2017, so we obviously love it enough to keep returning! The location is wonderful, the owner is terrific to communicate with, and the cabin is adorable. We did notice some upgrades since our last visit in 2019 (new screen doors, deck stairs replaced, new walkways), which was great. We also noticed, however, that the cabin wasn't as stocked as it had been in past years. We had to unload the dishwasher as soon as we got there. We then had to run to the store to get some essentials that had previously been provided. There was one roll of TP, a partial roll of paper towel, an empty soap dispenser in the bathroom and a 3/4 empty one in the kitchen, nothing to wash dishes or scrub pans with, and only three hand towels (kitchen included). There was nothing to wrap food with, and no containers.
As someone else recently mentioned in their review, the canoes were at the dock. It is almost impossible to get them in the water from there, as there are bushes and trees on one side, and a large rock on the other. This is a great place for the kids to fish from, however! We put the canoes in and out of the water from the yard all week, although it is very mucky there, and the water is low. It would be wonderful if the owner would add a dock in front of the firepit, as it would be much easier to use the canoes.
We love sitting on the deck and watching the eagle, heron, ducks, as well as the mist coming off of the lake in the early morning. We even saw a beaver this year, which was new to us. The public beach on the other end of the lake is an added bonus, which our grandchildren thoroughly enjoyed.
We had to leave two of the windows open when we left because the hinges to close them were broken. One of them is over a wood pile, making it impossible to get to from the outside. Overall, I would continue to recommend this property, as it is a great experience for families. Just be prepared to bring the essentials with you, unless you don't mind traveling the 12+ miles to the nearest WalMart to pick them up.

A relaxing week on the lake
This cabin on the lake is a great place to stay while in the White Mountains. The house is excellent, comfortable and had well stocked kitchen with necessary pots and pans, etc. We were able to cook meals there, take in the views from the porch and enjoy the lake. The host was very accommodating and the place was spotless when we arrived. I highly recommend renting this home and hope to be back in the future .

My new favorite happy place
This is our second time staying here, and we absolutely love it! So peaceful and relaxing. Beautiful comfortable cabin within steps to the lake with 3 canoes and a dock for fishing. We even got up close and personal with a bald eagle multiple times! Also so close to all White Mountain Attractions, will definitely stay again 😊
