The Villa and grounds are beautiful. Very clean and everything works! The beds are very, very comfortable. The pool was clean and large, it was a little sad that so many tiles were off. My daughter got a few cuts from it but nothing that stopped us enjoying the peaceful sanctuary. The Villa is equipped with everything you might need. Bedrooms having their own bathrooms was lovely. And again the comfortable mattress were great! These were all things very important to me. We were there the first week of July and it was so cool in the evenings. Great sleeping weather! Each room has a modern working fan which is fabulous for when the heat comes. It truly is a wonderful place to stay and I would recommend it to everyone! We had so much fun and we are so thankful for the opportunity to enjoy this glorious estate! Thank you!

Flott feriehus!
Ærverdig, eldre hus med mye sjarm. Nydelig hage og basseng. Veldig hjelpsom huseier.

Amazing pool and outdoor grounds
We stayed here with 6 teenagers. Everybody enjoyed the swimmingpool very much. The football ground and the large garden was also really popular.
The house is huge- and this was popular with all the children as well.
Especially the bath rooms could use an update- but this also counts for the kitchen, which was quite small and not very well laid out. We had most of our meals at home- and i was constantly lacking table top space.
Over all we really enjoyed our stay. If we come back it will be for the pool- and despite the bath rooms ;)

Traumhaft

Fabulous, relaxing holiday home. Ideal for large groups
We stayed as a group of four families and loved our time in this wonderful villa.
Close enough to Rome to go for day trips and also near to a beautiful lake, woodland footpaths and historic towns and villages.
The kids loved the pool and football pitch. Adults enjoyed the beautiful gardens.
Excellent restaurants in the neighbourhood. Easy access from airports.
Only down side was no air conditioning but you can get a reasonable breeze blowing through the bedrooms by opening all the windoes.

Fantastic Family Vacation
The house and grounds are magnificent! Maria made dinner for us the first night, which was spectacular! We all enjoyed her cooking and I am sorry I left without getting her cake recipe. I highly encourage anyone who stays to let her cook at least one meal for you. My 7 grandchildren loved the pool and the huge soccer field was a wonderful place to run around after being in the car sightseeing all day. Please be aware there is NO air conditioning. It was brutally hot when we were there and was no cooling off at night. We went out and bought fans so that we could sleep at night. There was plenty to see and do in the area and Rome is a short train ride away. Would definitely recommend this property and we would stay there again.

Fabulous base to explore Rome
We had a great time over Easter week at this wonderful villa. The website doesn't really do it justice - it has so much to offer - great rooms, lovely gardens even it's own football pitch. There's a local rail station for trips into the middle of Rome and some food local restaurants as well. And the housekeeper offers fantastic home cooked meals which we used a couple of times during our stay.

Our Wonderful Family Holiday
Our family just spent 10 wonderful days at Villa La Selvotta! We were a family of 12 ranging in ages from 2 to 56 years old. Everyone enjoyed our stay at the Villa from the wonderful meal prepared on our first evening to the beautiful grounds and swimming pool. The Villa was peaceful and relaxing and yet just a short drive to the train station for trips to Rome and beyond. Our children and grandchildren kept telling us that staying at the Villa only made their trip of a lifetime more memorable. We highly recommend the Villa La Selvotta.

Magnificent villa in a wonderful surrounding
We spent a week with our extended family at Villa La Selvotta. The villa itself and the surrounding park and garden exceeded all our expectations. It was absolutely beautiful. The private pool area and the soccer area was particularly enjoyed by the kids in our family. The garden was very spacious and well taken care of - we truly enjoyed spending our days there. The nearby villages offered astounding views and good meals. One evening we ordered a dinner by the tenants at villa. The food was delicious - especially the Vitello Tonnata and the Tiramisu! Great memories and definitely recommended!

Perfekt mit mehreren Familien / für Familienfeier
Wir haben einen 50. Geburtstag mit 8 Erw. Und 7 Ki. Gefeiert. Sehr empfehlenswert!!!!

Beautiful home!
The house is so perfect! It fit our entire family in it, while leaving room for everyone to tuck away and hide when they wanted to. We cooked big meals, watched movies, played lots of soccer, and swam in the pool. There was no need to leave. Hope to come back here again soon!

Traum in Italien!
Päpstliche Gärten direkt neben an!

A beautiful and unique Italian villa
We stayed at Villa La Selvotta for a week at the end of May 2014 to celebrate my 70th birthday. There were 14 of us comprising my grandchildren, my children and my wife and me. The Villa La Selvotta was the perfect venue for such an event with such a spread of ages, from 8 to 70. The villa comfortably accommodated everyone. For all of us but especially the children, the swimming pool and the large area around it was a big hit. So was the full sized footbal pitch! The Villa sits in its own very spacious grounds, some of which is natural woodland and the remainder, a large and well tended garden and lawns. On our arrival and again to celebrate my birthday we arranged for Maria Pia who is the housekeeper, assisted by her daughter Chiara, to prepare dinner for us. What delightful experiences they were. Roman cuisine at its best and enjoyed by every one of us. Thank you Maria Pia and Chiara for looking after us so well. Albano Laziale is well placed for the rail journey into Rome and also for visiting the other towns in the Castelli Romani area. Fausta, the villa owner, was very responsive to all our queries prior to our holiday. Her advice was invaluable and included the need for transport during the visit. Again she was correct. You need transport to visit the many local towns in the Castelli Romani and in our case, again on Fausta's advice, a visit to the ancient Roman site at Ostia Antica. When we left, our granddaughters were in tears and I wanted to reset the clock and start again. Many thanks Fausta

Awesome!
My family and friends rented this villa for a week to celebrate my 50th Birthday. What a beautiful home. All our needs were tended to and the villa owner was especially helpful in assisting us with our arrangements and providing us with maps and information about nearby places. While this vacation had many bumps along the way including trouble with our car rental breaking down, canceled/late flights, 100 degree weather and an an overbooked tour schedule, coming back to this villa at the end of every day was like being in paradise. The pool was an especially welcome amenity! I would highly recommend this villa. Albano Laziale was a great little town with Rome being easily accessible. Our only regret is that we couldn't stay for two weeks.

Wonderful
We arrived at night to a dark house, but oh so beautiful. The staff was there and took good care of us. The rooms were fine and especially the master bedroom. Almost all rooms have balcony, which we liked. The kitchen was a bit small but ok. The garden was lovely. Unfortunately, we went out in the dark when we arrived and one of the grandchildren fell from the lawn down to the football ground, a height difference of perhaps 3 m, and sprained his foot. A small fence there to warn of the height difference would have been good. There were lots of steps in the house but we liked the multi-story design since we were so many persons. We will never forget this fantastic week and would love to go back sometime.
