Great location, great facilities, and great hosts.
Cute and cozy decor, the perfect cabin for a trip to Scotland.
Very clean and tidy lodge.
There was nothing not to like.

CraigLockhart Lodge is such an amazing place. The lodge is beautifully decorated and is such a warm and inviting space to stay for a weekend. The host has so many finishing touches which makes the stay even more special.

Sehr zuverlässige und fürsorgliche Gastgeber, alles Nötige ist vorhanden,
Es war etwas luftdurchlässig und zu dieser Jahreszeit spürt man es gut.

Met Tam on arrival, very helpful and gave us information about transport into town. Lodge was lovely, everything we needed. Very quiet area and very private.
Nothing really. Only thing that could be better is sofa, but that is just a very small thing. Maybe a bit of information on the information sheet where the local shop is.

Super hospitality from the owners, a beautifully clean cottage with great facilities, a thoughtful welcome hamper and easy access to the city of Edinburgh. What more could we want! A perfect place; we would return.
Nothing.

Quiet, secure location, excellent access to bus stops, outside space, parking, decor, hosts. Welcome basket is a lovely touch and greatly appreciated. Lorna communicates very effectively and clearly wants guests to enjoy their stay. Tam is also very welcoming and accommodating. Info about buses is really good.
Some unfortunate bedroom electrical issues, literally happened the day we arrived, nothing to be done and in fairness there are plenty of sockets elsewhere.

The location and how clean it was and welcoming and the little things like bread and milk

The location is perfect with bus stops right outside. The property has all amenities, very cozy and perfect for family stay. he hosts are extremely good. They even waited for me as I reached late around 10:30 pm. Will recommend highly.
Having a washing machine could be the only item needed. Other than this, nothing else.

We had a lovely time staying at Craiglockhart Lodge. Lorna was very welcoming and the welcome pack of bread, milk, Prosecco and other goodies was very thoughtful. The lodge was very clean and comfortable, an ideal place to stay. It is situated in a lovely part of Edinburgh. It’s easy to explore the centre as there are a variety of bus options near by including one stop right outside. There are also other places to explore near by if you like walking such as the Pentland hills or walking along the tow path of The Union canal. There is parking which is always a bonus.
We would definitely stay again and hope to soon.

Lovely welcome. All you could need for a short break. Nothing too much trouble and recommended a lovely pub on the night of arrival. Good location, quiet but only a bus journey from the centre of Edinburgh with the bus stop right outside. Would recommend and will be back

The beds in the twin room were very uncomfortable

Great lodge with everything you need for a short break. Comfortable and well equipped. Excellent public transport links to the city centre and good amenities close by. Lorna couldn't have been more helpful and the fantastic welcome pack was a really nice touch.

Fantastic hospitality in a very comfortable lodge. Photos don't really do it justice. Ideally placed for access into town on the many buses within easy access to the property.
Hosts that go above and beyond to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.

- Beautiful and authentic Scottish apartment
- Cleanliness, towels, toiletries and name bare minimum thing you need, its there
- Bus stop just outside the door (Bus Number - 4 and 36)
- Free guest Netflix
- Google home mini though we didn't use it
- There is none if I have to say I would say one thing it's a little from the city, though there is a direct bus but it is less frequent later in the night.

Lovely lodge in a quiet residential area to the west of Edinburgh city centre. a walk would take about an hour, trains, buses nearby.

The property was very clean spacious and beautiful. There was a welcome basket of goodies and fresh bread and milk including tea and coffee and a bottle of Prosecco. Lorna was very welcoming and explained the buses and the app and also helped us with directions to a club we were going to to meet family. Would 100% stay here again and have passed the details onto family and friends
There was nothing I didn’t like

Lorna was a excellent host, told us all information we needed for transport to places. Also had a welcome basket which was excellent
Twin room beds were a little uncomfortable but I think it's probably personal preference.

Lodge was clean, tidy, very comfortable and homely. Excellent hospitality and information about the public transport links from the owners.
I would highly recommend staying at Craiglockhart Lodge.

Location - though a 30 minute bus ride to town, the bus stop was right outside and regular. self contained, excellent for a few days stay. basic foodstuffs provided on arrival. everything clean and tidy, host excellent.
not much!

The set up was ideal. Parking, lock box for the key, easy access and instructions.
The location was really good, bus stops directly outside the house and the buses that pass through were perfect for us. 1 of them goes straight in to the city and the other to the coast.
We turned the heating on as soon as we got there and the lodge warmed up very quickly.
Lodge is very clean and well looked after.
Plenty of utensils and even a few bonus extras like milk and bread and jams etc :)
A gorgeous decking area with a pond to relax with a coffee in the morning is available too. Photos on here do not do it justice (so i have added my own!).
Lorna was a fantastic host and was always available for Qs or help with directions and local knowledge.
The area is very nice with some gorgeous walks and a large supermarket a short walk away.
The only thing i would change is personally i would have liked a bigger TV in the lounge (on a swivel bracket so you can aim it towards the dining table) and a tv in each of the bedrooms.. BUT it did not take away from the lodge at all and was the only thing that i was even remotely disappointed about which isnt bad!

The apartment is nicely decorated and feels very homely. The kitchen and bathroom are fully stocked with everything you may need during your stay.
The hosts are very friendly and welcoming, and seerms to thought about everything the guests may need - they even provided a welcome package with bread, milk, juice, bubble vine and cookies.
The apartment has a beautiful patio that we didn't use due to rain.
The apartment layout is very weird.
The kitchen is located straight at the front door, before you get on to the living room, and it is not comfortable to cook.
The bathroom sink is very small and the shower water stream is very weak and can't be controlled.

The lodge was lovely. It was really clean and was in a good location with easy access to the city from lots of different bus services including a bus stop right outside the lodge. Lorna could not have been any more welcoming or helpful and left the carport free for us as well we could not have asked for a better place for our holiday.

The property was great and Lorna and Tam were fantastic hosts to such an extent that Tam drove us to an excellent nearby Italian restaurant for our evening meal on the second night. I would definitely recommend this property.

We felt welcomed by Lorna the moment we arrived. We stayed in the lodge which was beautifully clean and we felt right at home. We were kindly left coffee, bread and other food for our arrival. The bus stop was just outside so super easy to get into the centre of town. Amazing place to stay with even better hosts! Thank you Lorna - we will be back!
Nothing - we had a perfect stay

The hosts and property are amazing. So much thought, care and investment has been devoted by Lorna and Tam. For my wife and I and our two young children this has been an ideal base for our Edinburgh visit.
Faultless.

Prior to arrival the owner kept me well informed at all times. The location was excellent for visiting my family and l really appreciated getting a good night's sleep.
For my family and myself this accommodation was a 'real find'. And it made such a difference not being woken up at some rediculous time of the night like you frequently are in an hotel!
Lorna the owner turned out to be a lovely lady and made us feel very welcome.

Bus stop was right outside the door. And it was an easy walk to the O2 concert venue nearby.
Everything was fine, actually.

This was one of the best kitted out apartments we have stayed in.There was milk, juice, wine jams etc in fridge on our arrival along with fresh bread, cereal, biscuits, etc what more could you ask for, cupboards well stocked with kitchen wear.
The Host was fantastic, very friendly and helpful, the apartment is so well located lots of lovely walks around the area and a bus stop right outside, buses run regularly in to town short bus ride away, stops in town near the Royal Mile and Old Town.
