For a romantic, luxurious escape in the heart of the Tuscan countryside, Borgo Vescine delivered an exceptional experience. My girlfriend and I spent 2 nights at this remote, upscale property to celebrate her 30th birthday, and we were treated like royalty throughout our stay.
Upon arrival, we were delighted to find that the hosts, led by the brilliant manager Loretta, had arranged a bouquet of flowers in our room along with a handwritten birthday note - a thoughtful touch that set the tone for our visit. Loretta went above and beyond to ensure our stay was special, helping me coordinate surprise birthday celebrations for my girlfriend. The room itself was beautifully appointed, with high-end furnishings and an excellent bathroom.
The staff at Borgo Vescine were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing excellent recommendations for local walks, sights to see, and wines to try. One evening, they even arranged for a birthday cake to be brought out during our dinner, which was a truly wonderful surprise.
While the breakfast coffee wasn't exceptional, and there were limited vegetarian options at dinner, the overall dining experience was excellent, featuring delicious local cuisine and superb regional wines. We particularly enjoyed the private wine tasting hosted by the knowledgeable sommelier, Matia.
The only minor downsides were the ongoing construction work on the property's vineyards (which still allowed for exceptional views from the pool area) and some safety concerns with the poolside umbrellas during high winds. But these were small inconveniences in an otherwise flawless stay.
Exceptional hospitality and service from staff, especially manager Loretta

Beautiful location, lovely restaurants and very pleasant staff.
Made an effort to accommodate our vegan diet, had a great wine tasting with Ricardo and general exceptional service from everyone.
Occasions where bars were unattended and some times were organisation seemed to be a bit lacking but in general a really lovely stay.

The property was set in a Borgo and has been sympathetically laid out with rooms interconnecting by small pathways , some rooms have patios where to sit out and look out across the Tuscan landscape . The pool area and grass area was lovely .
We found and this was our personal view that the food was not in keeping with the area , we know that there is a Tuscan set menu but this was far too expensive and there was better value outside the hotel which was a shame . The al la carte menu was strange and while I can accept that the food was cooked well , I cannot for the life of me accept eating part of a menu from what was an old cows shin bone , I recoiled at that . The service at best in the restaurant both at dinner and breakfast was average , we felt kind of ignored at times . We could have complained but we honestly just wanted to enjoy our time and not get embroiled in a discussion on poor service and so gracefully we retired to the bar to mull over our dining experience and discuss our wonderful adventure experiences we the other guests . Otherwise we enjoyed the hotel.

I like their territory and many options how to make our trip better. try to order picnic basket, eat in their restaurant and drink cocktails at their bar. additionally, there are a lot of quiet places to read and relax at the territory. the view is spectacular

The views and grounds of this hotel are some of the most beautiful we've ever stayed at and the staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. They also have spectacular wine, so I recommend trying all of them!

Incredible selection; for everyone’s taste and desires; from pastries to hot buffet; cappuccinos, etccc.
Fruits, beehive honey….., cereals …..we couldn’t eat anything more😁😁😁

This property was outstanding! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed and assisted with great attention. The landscaping and the views over the Chianti hills were breathtaking. The regular room was rather small, but the heavenly bed was just pure luxury; the softest pure white sheets and the most comfortable mattress to the softest towels ever. As a seasoned traveller, I shall definitely return and book an up-graded room. Cocktails in the green house is highly recommended as it was a relaxing experience, right out of a magazine. The exquisite dining experience, buffet breakfast and the service was exceptional! It felt very VIP and definitely more of a 5-star property. Special thanks to Stefano and your wonderful team for a wonderful experienced !
Everything was perfect!

it feels very much like a family business and you are treated like family when you checkin. the wifi could be better as its wuite slow and barely connects properly. the location is great, a few minutes drive from radda and castellina. the hotel is very charming. there are no safe boxes in the rooms, however i wouldn’t be concerned about theft in this hotel. the food is auite expensive. and on certain nights, the me u is fixed at 75 eur per person which is expensive. however you can also book nearby restaurants in chianti and castellina or greve. but you need a car for sure. taxis are 70-100 euros for a 5 minute journey
the wifi isn’t well connected throughout the property. food is great and authentic but very over-priced

Breakfast was ok. Same each day but could have made changes even with dflavours of juices.
Nice quaint magestic old refurbished rooms.
Nice pool.
Asked to make an omelette and was told it would be extra.
No exercise room.
Likely some type of rodent ?mice in our room that are away at one of our plastic bags that had candy in it.
Location was ‘curvy’ to get to and a car is a must.
No on site cooking classes as was on site.

Nestled in the middle of a vineyard the hotel comes with amazing views, great services and clean and beautiful room.
Everything about this hotel is nice: the services, the food, the staff
The food and wine are tasty but they are quite pricey. We end up paying almost double than in Cortona but I guess you pay for the location and not for the food.

This was our third stay at the Vescine. Everything was wonderful and beautiful with the autumn colors. Loved the restaurant.
It was cold at night, and the heat did not come on until well into the morningl.

The resort is beautiful. The buildings and the pathways are astonishing, inviting to take pictures.
The restaurant offers great service and excellent food.
The rooms are not worth worth the price (€210) given that it is too cold in fall to use the pool.
Especially in room 4 there is a loud noise of ventilation coming from one of the other rooms. Reason is that the light in every bathroom is coupled with a ventilator. In our case the noise was for all evening till the other guests returned around midnight and switched the light off.
The wifi requires to fill a form, accepting they can use your email. Despite the access point was in the room I had connection problems after we connected multiple devices using the same email for registration.
