Location. Comfort of bed.
No hot water in the morning. This was a major failing which was reported at the time and subsequently but no one from IHG has offered an apology or a refund.
4.1
Location is beautiful. Extensive grounds, very well kept. The bed was very comfortable. Breakfast good, and staff were friendly and efficient.
Nothing comes to mind.
4.1
Very comfortable bedroom with excellent facilities.
The breakfast was very good with plenty of choices to suit our tastes
I felt that the evening menu was very limited for my tastes and quite expensive for what was provided
4.1
Large comfortable room, food prices reasonable
Not near enough to town facilities (shops, restaurants etc)
4.1
beautiful park situation
outworn carpets and door locks, lift is 😠
helpful but understaffed in restaurant
it ‘s close to the hospital that pays me less to work late than what the hotel cost is( NHS)

Room was big, comfortable, very quiet location
Sadly, a member of staff attempted to enter our room while we were in it without knocking or announcing themselves. Shocking behaviour and we have informed the hotel since.

Stayed here for two nights for friends wedding. It was the perfect location due to the wedding and reception venue being on the same grounds. The staff were all really friendly and helpful. The beds were comfy and the room was spotless.

Very spacious ground floor bedroom as we had asked for. The gardens surrounding the hotel were a great bonus. Good choice of breakfast.
The Guest lounge is very tired and has no windows or views. The catering staff were very busy. Possibly short staffed.

The location was superb but don’t rely on a SatNav!!
our room was very comfortable, spotlessly clean and quiet.
4.1
Really comfy beds and lovely room. Delicious restaurant on site.
Really noisy through early hours with guests walking past room talking loudly obviously after a few drinks. Didn't sleep well because of this unfortunately.

This place is a hidden gem! The hotel is on a private campus which belongs to the university, there is a local cafe a short walk away and the hotel itself and the grounds are just stunning! The staff were very friendly, the room was spotless, they were very doggy friendly. I would go back there in a heartbeat

The staff were very helpful. Uncomfortable pillows were swapped quickly
Car parking is close, room size ok.
Cooked meals were unimpressive.
The room was too hot, AC was noisy and inefficient. Two nights of restless sleep. Wouldn't stay again

Location is superb, set in the beautiful grounds of the Crichton. Excellent position close to the the town.
Excellent breakfast, and plenty choice.
Rooms are a bit tired now, furniture dated and worn, especially the settee in the room. Ours appeared to be the only room without voiles on the windows to afford some privacy when the curtains were open.
The lounge bar area was very dull and boring. Lacked any quality and ambience.
4.1
Friendly & professional staff. Location. Excellent breakfast.
Nothing.

Nice Breakfast. Dinner was very disappointing: I had booked a table for my husband and his friends for 5pm
and had requested them to be seated near a TV to watch the rugby before they crossed the road to hear our Choir so they didnt have a huge amount of time. The gas was not working. Not enough food and the hotel was freezing!!
The TV they were trying to watch had no sound
As Above..................................

room and breakfast
No room service available
public areas/bar very cold
