Great facilities with a pool and multiple places to sit. Staff were really friendly and the place very clean. We also did the wine tasting which was available onsite and came with some local cheeses and home made bread.
Would have been good to have some more coffees in the room & potentially towels for by the pool

We had the most wonderful stay at Casa Lata. The team were incredibly welcoming and helpful. The building and grounds were lovely and we enjoyed hearing about their history as part of the tour we did. The room was clean and comfortable and it was absolutely delightful to relax around the pool with a class of the vineyard’s wine. Whilst the property doesn’t offer a regular dinner/restaurant service, you can book to do tapas and wine tasting during your stay - this was delicious and excellent value, we would highly recommend as it was a real highlight of the trip for us! The team also assisted us with recommendations for restaurants locally for dinner on the other nights, and helped with booking.
Not a problem for us, but important to note that you do need a car as it’s quite a remote area and not many taxis around.

This family run guest house and winery is the perfect place to sit back and put your feet up for a few days. The rooms are so special and the public areas are a feast for the eyes. There is so much love and care in every corner. This goes for the breakfast as well. All homemade! We truly enjoyed meeting the family and best of all sampling the wines they are producing. Here again, made with love and passion. One is made to feel part of the family. We could truly just move in.

a lovely property. we visited in the off season and virtually had the place to ourselves.
4.5
The staff was exceptionally welcoming and accommodating. The room was quite spacious, well proportioned and had a gray, textured wall covering that makes the space very warm and calming. Also a special mention to the in-room heating system: When the owners did the renovations for the suites they didn’t compromise on the heating system. These units are attractive, near silent and did a great job at keeping the room comfortable in February.
Didn’t particularly like the bathroom in our room. Granted, it was spacious and super clean, but the lighting was cold and the shower head produced a narrow spray. It wasn’t an awful bathroom but it didn’t live up to the magnificence of the main part of the room.

Our stay was lovely, hospitable, quiet, and comfortable. We enjoyed tasting their wine by the pool, breakfast was delicious and filling. The family and staff were all wonderful. And the honesty bar was a delightful way to end each evening.
We found finding restaurants that were open for dinner a bit challenging in September as several we're temporarily closed, most likely for well-deserved vacations, though we loved Francois and Abba restaurants.
Also, would have liked to have a safe in the room for storing passports.

Super comfortable and very spacious room with a nice view. Lovely pool, very relaxing. Excellent breakfast with tons of options. Surrounding areas and the views were great. A lot of good restaurants around.
Checkin/checkout process could be better (room not ready, needed to come back later, couldn't wait at the hotel). Apart from breakfast, food throughout the day is limited.

Almost Everything. It was a short trip but very harmonious thanks to Casa Lata, the kindness and very helpfull people, the beautifull country...We felt like home...you will enjoy the breakfast and in general the gastronomy of Portugal!
Nothing important to mention!
PS: detail: the door stop in the bathroom was painfull to the feet...easy to change...that's it!

Clean and nice sized rooms with comfortable beds. Good breakfast and excellent lunch. Very friendly owners and staff. The place itself have an interesting history and is like an oasis in an already beautiful part of Portugal. We loved spending time in the inviting pool area. They also have wine tasting as an option, and we brought with us a nice little collection of the wine they make at their place. The entire place is so well kept and looked after, so they clearly take pride in it. And they should be proud!! We both were so happy with our stay, that we would very much love to come back and stay for longer.

The staff were so caring and friendly. The beautiful grounds and architecture made for a lovely vacation. I would say the highlight was the wonderful staff.

Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh fruit.
We also had extra meals that all were really good and what we wanted to have. We tried two wines from the estate, liked both vinho verde and the red very much.

Right in the reception we understood how wonderful the stay would be, the hosts and collaborators were extremely nice and thoughtful. We were received right away with a lemonade (it could have been wine, but we were still going to drive) and cake, then excellent recommendations from the hosts for sightseeing and food around the area.
After our drive and when getting back to the hotel, we were received with some wine glasses and cheese platter. Delicious!
Night stay was comfortable and very restful. In the morning the breakfast was fantastic! Too bad I was not hungry or I'd have tried a little of everything.
Nothing really to point out here.

We stayed only one night at Casa Lata, but the stay was so great we should’ve stayed there for longer! The hotel and the surrounding area was beautiful and the atmosphere was very welcoming. The breakfast was great! We were also given a tour at the winery.

We loved our stay at Casa Lata! Our room was spacious, with very nice finishes, and all the conveniences. The hotel staff was exceptionnal and the breakfast was delicious and very generous. We found that the pool (warm water) and hotel amenities were perfect for our little one and we all had a great time playing outside!
We loved everything but the only thing we could mention is that the mattress in our room was very hard. However, to be fair, we normally find mattresses in Portugal much firmer than ours or North American standards.
