Love Judy Cottage at Judy House Cottages, good wee kitchen....good size room ....very chilled and relaxing. Honesty Supply store which is perfect....i loved the location as I love to walk ....met lots of friendly people everyday....make sure you take yourself to Rasta Ade Vegan beach Bar and Restaurants on 7 Miles Beach .... beautiful spot .
If you do not like the chickens cockadoodledool and being surrendered by nature then pity but thats what's great about Judy House.....take note make sure you have mosquito spray to spray your room at night.....it's normal...I live in the tropics so I was prepared.

It was a wonderful experience, quiet, tranquil, beautifully landscaped and designed in a tropical setting. The staff is very kind. I loved the screeching jungle music of the lizards and frogs at night lulling me to sleep. I loved the hammock area down the hill with the outdoor shower. It's all very affordable, starting at the very inexpensive for a tiny room with a small window and a fan, crowded together with others, to the large double rooms with huge screened wall and attached patio, to the two charming beautifully designed cottages nestled in their own gardens. I had no car. Although it feels remote, the main road with taxis is about a 10 minute walk away. There is a small grocery/bar nearby and it is an easy walk to the beach, a supermarket and restaurants. There is a communal kitchen with large fridge for the guests. I will definitely return.
Personally I liked everything, but you have to feel comfortable using shared bathrooms and living independently with an interesting mix of fellow travelers, in a beautiful tropical setting. But it's not a hotel or a typical resort. It's a very unique self service hostel with the experience you make on your own,

The nature and the cottage was well equipped. the staff was amazing!
The microwave couldn't be used due to the bad condition.

Beautiful and spacious property located in a quiet piece of Negril. The walk down into town isn't too far and the sense of tranquility is well worth it! Friendly and kind staff. My stay wasn't long enough and I will definitely consider returning.
The location is a little out of the way from the main strip in the West End, but it's the trade off for the peaceful and quiet environment you get.

Miss Sue is an exceptional host! for me, my stay truly felt like a home from home experience. I visited both of her properties and both met all expectations plus more. I had the most incredible time. If you want to travel and be immersed in Jamaican culture then this is the place for you.
I first arrived solo and stayed in a small single room which was perfect for me, everything you need, the bonus is waking up to hummingbirds and fruit trees then spending the first few hours of the morning just chilling in the hammock. there were a few nights I was so at peace that I slept in the hammocks.
Beware no matter how long you've booked it will never be enough! it is a frequent occurrence that Miss Sue is bombarded with customers daily who want "just one more night"
Overnight security In Negril was superb and helpful he took me to the local fruit, veg market, and fish market to make sure I got good quality products at a local price. Despite A* security, Judy properties have the most incredible guard dogs. well-behaved, smart, and super-loveable. I didn't have favorites but I took a great shine to the beautiful Frankie
I was later joined by a friend which met I had to give up my single room in paradise for a double room. Due to extending my stay I also had the privilege of staying at Judy's house in Brighton. Absolute magical.
I am still in JA and I hope to visit again before I return to the UK, this may just be my yearly stop before I travel to the island to visit family.
Thank Team Judys House.

Really cosy cottages with lots of thoughtful extras such as additional hooks and safe box in room. Great atmosphere to chat with other travellers. You can also get discount at various local attractions as a guest of Judy Cottages.
Cabin walls are generally fairly thin and we were next to the bathroom.

Our driver stayed here and said he had a nice time and slept the best he had during our whole trip. Staff were friendly although it was a task to check in. Location seemed quiet and accommodation well kept and like the photos. They also have a very friendly and well behaved dog on site.
Check in took a while because we couldn't seem to communicate properly about who paid and who was staying.

At Judy house, you have the tranquility of a little cabin and you're close to a 30-minute walk from the seven-mile beach. I Would recommend if you are looking to immerse yourself in Jamaican culture.

I liked the surrounding nature.
The bathrooms were so terrible that I didn’t want to go in there. There was also a giant lizard in my room at some point but I’m afraid of lizards so yeah. My cottage was hot like hell during the days and freezing at night. All in all it was just extremely disappointing.

Rooms were smaller than they looked in pictures. A lot of noise at night of crickets, dogs and music.

Stayed in the 'Judy House Cottage' For the money, you get so much more than anywhere else. A very good kitchinette with two burners, kettle, microwave, coffee maker etc. Good AC, good beds, fantastic terrace and hammock/seating area etc. Just excellent. The honesty bar is a really nice addition.
Not really walkable to the beach or cliffs but that's not a complaint, I booked here to get a quiet 'retreat' for a couple of days.

Judy’s was the perfect place to stay. It felt like a little village in the jungle. It’s made extremely nicely .. plants everywhere (reusing water to water them) and many „hidden“ spots to relax on hammocks etc. I can only recommend that place and I would come back any time! Thank you!
