Nice log home with short drive to Houghton and Hancock, with McClain State Park beach being about 20 min drive. Creek on property has many small brook trout but did catch a 10". We also visited Porcupine Mountains, Calumet, Hungarian Falls, and Copper Harbor. Jogged on the path along canal each morning. The property owner was great to work with. Overall a great property and good location for exploring the peninsula..

My dad went to Tech and his soon-to-be college age grandkids wanted to tour the university.
The house had a basketball court, a sauna, and a perfect set up for playing cards and game. It was stocked with every last thing that we needed.
Thank you to Bruce and Sarah. They were the perfect hosts! All 13 of us loved it!

We loved the home and Bruce (owner) was incredibly attentive to questions and help if needed. We would definitely stay there again if in the area!

Bruce and Sarah have a lovely home, it felt like our own! The place is very clean and the beds are comfortable. The kitchen was stocked well (minus our own groceries) and there were plenty of towels too for our group of 14. WiFi was fast and check in was a breeze. Thank you - Would love to stay here again!!!

Super nice and clean cabin!
We’ve book this cabin to celebrate New Year with family. We were hoping to rent snowmobiles and go to ski to Mt Ripley , but unfortunately there wasn’t snow, and even though we had a great time in that place.
The cabin was big enough for 14 people, it was clean, stuffed with all necessary equipment and spices and coffee and tea, even shampoo and conditioner:) Also there was so many games for kids. Sauna was a great bonus. The property was in the wood , so we went with kids for hiking.
Checking and checkout process was super easy. I highly recommend this cabin and host. We really enjoyed our stay there and hope to come back again for snowmobiling:)

The house was close enough to Houghton (8 minutes to downtown) for all the great restaurants and shops, but far enough away where you are surrounded by woods and secluded. Perfect location to get away and enjoy nature.

Our group had a great stay. Our only complaint was that in mid August, the house got pretty warm on the days that the weather was hot. Overall we were very comfortable and our group loved the sauna!

Our whole family of 16, ages 1 through 70, enjoyed staying at this unique log cabin. So many fun spaces in the house to play and talk. Close to town so grocery shopping was quick and easy. So many fun places to go. We just enjoyed every day of the week and the host was so prompt when we had questions.

Our family converged at the house for a long weekend in the UP. We loved the house! It was very comfortable, clean, well stocked, and in a beautiful, quiet area. It was a great base for our various day trips. Would highly recommend for family get togethers!

This was our second time staying here and it was again a great choice. There was enough beds for everyone in our group and the kitchen was stocked with all the pots/pans/appliances we needed. Communication was great with the host.

This was a great place to stay with a medium/large group. All kitchen appliances and pots/pans that we needed were all provided. Hosts were excellent and great at communicating.

The house was great. Plenty of beds for everyone to have their own. Plenty of room for relaxing during down time. The house was clean and well cared for. A lot of room for parking trucks and trailers. Host was very prompt to respond to any questions we had.
Everything you needed for a stay and to make meals was available. I would recommend this house to any large groups looking to stay in the Houghton area

Home away from home is the best to describe this place! It was big enough to accommodate our large group of 14. The only thing i would underrate this place for is the beds….they could be upgraded. Other than that everything was great! Two ovens were awesome too for cooking for such a large group!

Great Getaway!
We enjoyed this VRBO so much. There was lots of sleeping room, playing room, and relaxing room. So much care in the details (from the towels to the tea!).

Great Home!
The home had everything we needed to enjoy our stay in Atlantic Mine. Beautiful location along Cole's Creek. The beds were very comfy and we all slept well. The trails were close and we had a blast riding our side by sides each day of our stay. It's also just a few minutes from Houghton/Hancock for a bit of shopping and dinner.

Awesome Family Space
Our family travelled from MN, IA, and CO for my family reunion weekend. We arrived to find EVERYTHING we needed for our 5-day stay. All of the furnishing in the home were of excellent quality. The dishes, towels and bedding were plentiful and nice. I usually bring things like dish soaps, laundry soap, pump soap for bathrooms, toilet paper, and kitchen along with my own fry pans. All these things were provided. The only thing I would suggest is a couple more dish towels and dish cloths. The home has two living spaces and a huge yard with a big basketball court that kept all busy and content. We will definitely stay at Coles Creek Cabin!

Snowmobile Trip
This property is really nice and accommodates groups very well. We were a group that was snowmobiling in the UP. There is plenty of space for sleds and trailers. The trails are very close to the house but you do need to travel on the county roads to get there. We will be returning.

ATV Getaway
This is a great property! It provides all the comfort of home, a short distance from the city, and yet secluded and private. The basketball court got a lot of use, and we enjoyed a nice campfire late into the evening. The owners used the space very wisely, providing plenty of space for sleeping, as well as relaxation. The owners are very attentive to the needs of the clients.

The property was very appropriate for our 5-day booking.
We had 16 adults, so there were 4 empty beds that didn't get used. This worked out well - but if we had 4 more adults we would have had the 4 youngest do the crawling across to the far side of the mattress - as not all mattress edges were accessible without crawling. That might be the only "surprise" we encountered. And I have to admit that I did not check the prior reviews before I booked. We had a couple of instances when the sauna flipped the electric breaker but the hosts were very good about restoring power without any bother to us guests. The fire pit, the sauna, and the basketball court were all bonuses for our gang. Everybody loved the property and we also were pleasantly surprised to find this property so close to the covered road (westward about 2 miles). We had a very memorable stay.

Perfect for larger families
Our daughter was starting college at Michigan Tech and we came up a few days before move in to spend some time in the area with my sister and her family. We met with the owners quickly upon arrival and just let them know when we were checking out with a text. They were very friendly and accommodating. .
This log home was clean, beautiful, and had everything we needed for cooking, an abundance of clean towels, hot water, and tp and even a few extra toiletries in case you forgot something. There are two living room areas for watching tv, but we all fit in one comfortably. It has a large family table and little nook for playing games. I enjoyed just sitting on the deck in the morning with a cup of coffee. You are in a private peaceful setting, but only a few minutes from Houghton. We would love to rent this home again for our snowmobile trip this winter.

Great Location, property, and Host!
We could not have asked for more in a vacation rental. More than ample room for the extended family to spread out both inside and outside. Our hosts supplied everything we could possibly need and then some. We even had coffee for the mornings and bags to package up all of the blueberries we picked. The kids found balls available for the on-site basketball court, and ample indoor entertainment for the one stormy day we had in the Copper Country. The hosts even came to our rescue when one of the grandkids made sure a wandering Sasquatch wanted to get inside by locking us out of the cabin (he's been watching too much "reality" tv). We would definitely recommend this as an option for any group looking to visit the Copper Country. Hopefully, we'll get a chance to come back in the future.

Perfect location. Great property for kids and plenty of space.
Loved this place. It was a perfect location for what we planned. Almost directly in the middle of Copper Harbor and Porcupine Mountains. Beautiful property and kids loved the basketball court. It definitely got its use. Will look at coming back to stay if we do this again!

Great property for a large group. It is out in the country but minutes from Houghton
This charming log cabin was absolutely perfect for our family group of 10. There is plenty of space with a bathroom upstairs and a bathroom plus a sauna and shower downstairs. There are two ovens and plenty of counter space for the cooks. There are large TV's in living rooms upstairs and downstairs, a washer and dryer and a fire pit outdoors. There is also a basketball court. We enjoyed our stay!

Wonderful place
We had a great time at this house! It was very clean and had everything we needed. We all loved the basketball court, sauna and walking down to the creek! We took many day trips and then loved relaxing at the house and having bonfires. We would definitely stay here again when we go back again!

Awesome house, property, and location!
We are from the area and had family visiting that we wanted to be able to stay with but did not have enough room to host. We know this location well and were happy to be in this spot for the beautiful scenery and also close proximity to town. This house was perfect for our group of ten, and we never needed to contact the host for anything after a quick, pleasant meeting to pick up the keys. Exactly what we were looking for, and then some. Highly recommend!

Pictures don’t do it justice
Excellent property with very attentive owners. The log cabin is one of a kind and a true gem. There is a creek for fishing, black sand beach nearby for amazing sunsets, cool activities in Houghton, and large enough for multiple families. We had between 16 to 19 people staying depending on the day. Lots of room for everyone. Basketball court was fun along with fires at night. Wood was provided along with nice bed linens, towels, and kitchen items. Washer and dryer help for longer stays. Rent this property! It is great!
