About this house rental
Located on Route 14, Penn Yan, New York, 14527, on the west side of Seneca Lake, the deepest of the Finger Lakes in Upstate New York.
Conveniently located about 12 minutes from both Geneva & Penn Yan on the Seneca Lake wine trail. This property is surrounded by 85 Acres of Beautiful Farmland.
In 2012, the property was purchased by a local horse-and-buggy Mennonite family. The Weaver family and their seven children are working each day to turn this farm and home into a nostalgic haven of rest for the world-weary travelers and for those who long for a more simple life.
While there is WiFi connection in the home, the Weaver family encourages visitors to hike, bike, and enjoy nature. There are herds of deer, friendly small animals, as well as many kinds of birds, and maybe a rare glimpse of a coyote.
With prior permission, visitors may enjoy most of the privacy of the farm's 85 acres, including a creek and gorge.
The farm boasts a spacious front yard that borders Route 14, and the only remaining working railroad in the region. Trains pass slowly once a day, creating a nostalgic twist to days gone by.
Enjoy a show of the morning sunrise or an afternoon picnic, complete with gorgeous lake views, from the spacious side porch.
This home offers a spacious 3,500 square feet, and can easily accommodate approximately 20 people. Enjoy gathering with friends and family in the beautiful wood-finished great room around the cozy fireplace.
The updated kitchen offers enough space to cook a feast, a new six-burner cook-top, double wall oven, stainless steel dishwasher, garbage disposal, large walk-in pantry, microwave, granite countertops and a large stainless steel fridge & freezer.
The Weaver family has been involved in greeting visitors for the past 18 years with the handmade quilts they've designed and sold all over the world. The family currently runs a country store out of the barn located on the property that features their charming homemade Amish quilts, homemade jams & jellies and homegrown vegetables when they're in season. To ensure the comfort and privacy of our guests, vacation rental parking is separate from the rest of the farm.
The home is decorated with local hand-stitched quilts, giving it a cozy old-fashioned feel.
Give us a call to book your dream vacation in the beautiful Finger Lakes!
This farm house is also available and perfect for weddings, reunions, church group retreats, quilting & sewing retreats, picnics and so much more!

My adult children and four grandchildren enjoyed our stay at the Weaver Farms house. Pauline is an outstanding host and made sure our stay was comfortable. The house easily fit the 10 of us with plenty of room to spare. It was well stocked and had all the amenities of home. Sitting out in the morning overlooking the lake or at night was wonderful as were the grounds where we were able to play games, go for a walk on the trail or pick eggs from the chicken coop. The children ages 3-9 also enjoyed the horse and buggy rides that Pauline offered. There is plenty to do in the area for everyone including parks and swimming to wineries and we also went to the Watkins Glen racetrack to “Drive the Glen”.The Corning Glass Museum is also just about an hour away and was a fun time. Watkins Glen State Park is only 30 minutes away and was amazing. Overall, we had a great vacation and will definitely return!!

Family gathering/vacation with grown family. The place was great. Very spacious. The kitchen was fantastic. It had everything we needed. There was plenty of space for all 9 of us to be in there and cook together. Plenty of sleeping space for everyone. The porch gave us a beautiful view of the lake. We enjoyed it during an afternoon rain with a cup of coffee. The Hostess is phenomenal. So gracious. Easy to get to for all our day trips.

We came here with family to celebrate New Years. This was the perfect spot! We all had a comfortable place to sleep, the large kitchen was perfect for all of our meals and snacking, and the property was fun to explore! We had an infant and multiple dogs so we were very thankful that the house was so large and every bedroom was very quiet, no matter what else was going on in the living space. We would all recommend this house and will probably be back next year!!

The house was large enough to accommodate our 5 children with a plus one for each, our 4 grandchildren and my dad comfortably. We held our rehearsal dinner at the house for roughly 30 people without feeling crammed. The house has a large kitchen and large living areas including a covered porch. Everyome was able to spread out and enjoy themselves. They also run a shop on the property where we purchased a beautiful quilt for our new bedroom.

The property was beautiful, the old farm house had so much charm it was an Amazing landing spot for our Finger Lake family adventure! The house was full of nooks and cranies, plenty of spaces for all 10 of us to sleep and have our space. The side porch made a great place to gather along with the fire pit. The house was well stocked with supplies, cooking gadgets, plenty of tableware and towels! The kids enjoyed gathering eggs, feeding the chickens, meeting April the horse and a cool buggy ride offered by Mrs. Weaver! The location was perfect and centrally located between the town of Pen Yann and Geneva. The views were great! We would love to stay again if our travels bring us back to the area!!!!

Comfortable large home. Kitchen was massive. We cooked all meals during our stay with great family time around the large dining table. Lots to see and do. Amazing waterfalls and hiking. Several brought kayaks and fishing poles. They caught 8 different kinds of fish! Mrs. Weaver, who was our host, came everyday Monday - Saturday and sold quilts and handmade items from area people in a large barn behind the house. Several beautiful quilts were purchased by our family. Fresh eggs were collected by our grandchildren, in the hen house, everyday. Our house was very comfortable for our group of 11. We all enjoyed our family time there so much. Our 11 year old Granddaughter summed it up well about our stay. She said, “I don’t want to go home”! None of us were in a hurry to leave! Thank you to the Weavers!

We had a wonderful visit here at the farm. The kids loved gathering eggs, riding in the buggy and being able to just run around. The adults loved the kitchen! We were all able to be in there all at once! The farm is very convenient to wineries, parks, groceries! A wee bit of heaven!

The Amish Farmhouse was beautiful and accommodated our family of 18 nicely. Everyone had a bed to sleep in and there was plenty of room. The decor was homey and we had everything that we needed. We were all able to eat our meals outside on the large porch that also had room for the provided cornhole game.
Pauline was wonderful! Our grandchildren gathered eggs, chased chickens back into the coop and Pauline gave them each pony cart rides. We all had a great time!
We wouldn't hesitate staying here again.
Thank you Pauline for your hospitality

The enormous farmhouse was a beautiful and comfortable spot for our friend and family celebration of Thanksgiving. Well equipped kitchen, ample bedrooms for our group, and cozy place overall. The porches overlooking Seneca Lake were fabulous spots to hang out and enjoy the natural beauty of the of the place. Feeding the chickens and gathering and enjoying the eggs was icing on the cake! Thanks Weavers for such a flawless and effortless holiday.

My friends and I rent a house every year, one weekend in the fall and one weekend in the spring for our girls wine trip. We have stayed at a few rentals in the Finger Lakes and this house is by far the best one. The house is very large and very accommodating for many guests. Upon arrival, the house was very clean and you could smell the cleaning products when you entered the home. The Weaver’s supply hand soap, dish soap, dishwasher pods, plenty of toilet paper, paper towels, napkins, many towels, hand towels, wash cloths, sheets, pillows and blankets. The porch was fantastic for morning sunrises and coffee. You can collect farm fresh eggs from the hen house and you can pet Lily the free roaming pony. Many wineries close to the house. Miss Pauline is very nice and very helpful. I highly recommend this rental and we will definitely return. Thank you to The Weaver Family for sharing your beautiful home with us.

It was a great weekend at the Weaver property, spending time with my groomsmen before my wedding. It is a large spacious house with plenty of bed space for large groups. The large kitchen was great as well, making it easy to prepare meals for the large group. Our favorite part was definitely the large porch, being able to sit at night and spend time catching up.

GREAT space for a family roadtrip
We had simply the best time on this property. We were enjoying a family road trip to the finger lakes and this location provide each of us with our own space while still giving the family vibe. We were able to enjoy Corning, Watkins Glen , antiquing, wine and cider tasting and always had a home base. The kitchen was amazing.
We were recommended to go to Torrey Park, a small swim area and The Spotted Duck, a fabulous custard place in the area. Both worth it in the NY heat. We would visit this location again for SURE.

Nice big house for extended family and friends
Was looking for a place to accommodate a large group of14 friends and family. This place fit the bill. The only odd room was the main bedroom which can only be accessed by 2 bathrooms. But other than that, the house was more than big enough for all of us. The location and views of the lake were outstanding. Even though we were out most of the day, there were games and a firepit to hang out at nights. There are no TV, but that was a bonus, since it was nice to unplug. There is wi-fi and it did do its job. I highly recommend this place, and will probably book again if we come back.

We rented this property to celebrate Thanksgiving with our family from VA, NY, NH and MA. It was the perfect spot with lots of property to play football, run, play outdoor games and have a bonfire. The house was large, clean and warm! It is a working farm run by a Mennonite family and it is very obvious that the house is well cared for. We thoroughly enjoyed our time there and would recommend this to any family that wants to get away for some wonderful, quality family time. No electronics but is WiFi accessible that made it perfect to spend evenings watching holiday movies! A very special bonus, the children collected the eggs for breakfast and cooking. I cannot say enough about Pauline Weaver and family. Thank you for sharing this beautiful house! We have fond family memories to look back upon! Thank you so much!

Just what we needed!
Our family enjoyed a wonderful week at the farmhouse and exploring the area in August 2021. This rental was the perfect setting to have an overdue (COVID, what else?) family retreat. The house is clean, spacious, and comfortable and was well-equipped for our crew of 9-15 adults and kids (depending on the day). The laundry and kitchen appliances worked well.
The outside areas (porch, lawn, firepit, grill) were well maintained and conducive to all manner of outdoor activities. Many thanks to the owners; Ms. Weaver was a delight to work with, extremely helpful but never intrusive, and we will especially remember her kindness to the kids – the buggy rides were a unique highlight of their summer.
The location of the farmhouse is ideal – outside Geneva so you have the country feel, but not so far that you can’t run to the store for a forgotten item. The Finger Lakes area has much to offer, and we were busy with a wide variety of activities every day.

Our family has a wonderful time at our stay in the beautiful Amish farmhouse at the Weaver farm. The house was big and had an amazing nostalgic feel. The weather didn’t allow us to explore the property but we still had a great time being together! Pauline was a perfect host - so kind and accommodating. She always responded promptly and went out of her way to make our visit everything we’d hoped!

60th Birthday Celebration
We had an amazing time!! Late nights on the large covered porch watching the deer in the field, catching up with High School friends was amazing. Sitting around for coffee in the beautiful kitchen after a great nights sleep was so peaceful!! We enjoyed shopping in the store for jelly's, fresh baked goods and other wonderful things. Our only suggestion would be, don't advertise lake access when there really isn't any. Also, a stack of fire wood would have been nice. We had to go into the woods and collect branches to burn. We would have brought our own wood if we knew. All in all we loved the house and will be returning!! Thank you so much!!
