Staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful. Very great views.
Not quite a 5 star luxury resort, but makes a good effort to get there.
Our guide Promise was very helpful and knowledgeable and went above and beyond to give us the sightings we would find interesting. Henry was also very helpful.
Small things prevent this from being a location for overseas visitors. The quality of the finishing is lacking for a true luxury resort. For example the towles and gowns provided were like sandpaper. The spa facilities are lacking and services offered a bit dissapointing. Not a total writeoff, just that for a truely luxury vacation you would expect better.
The food was below expectations. The butter especially was vile. Kids never ate as the food was not very good.

the fact that they greet you on first name basis and you’re assigned a designated ranger who is absolutely amazing. the 4 course dinner was absolutely delicious the area is beautiful the staff were spectacular and the game drive was one of the best experiences ever.
not a lot of activities available to do within the lodge but the experience makes it up for it.

We were extremely happy with the food, ambience and especially the staff! Our ranger Siya is very professional and knows a lot about the surroundings and animals. We always felt safe and were just overall happy with our stay at the Umzolozolo Lodge.
No real complaints on our side.
But if we had to say something about the food, we would say: Maybe a variation of fresh vegetables in the morning (i.e. tomatoes and slices of cucumber) next to the bowl of fresh fruits would have made breakfast even nicer.

Very good all round, but the price Booking.com charged was too high, others stayed at the same place for a lot cheaper. am disappointed that we paid so much more
all good

From the Welcome to the Farewell, we had a delightful time at Umzolozolo Lodge. We loved the personal and attentive service provided by all staff. Our room was lovely with a great outdoor shower and a balcony overlooking the game reserve. The Food was excellent and the portion sizes great. The bar staff looked after us well. We loved the game drives and the game ranger not only showed us 4 out of the the Big 5 but talked about the ecology and flora of the Reserve - she was fantastic. We plan to visit again as we enjoyed our time so much.
I cannot really fault anything about the Lodge, however the Nambiti Game Reserve roads had numerous, deep pot holes which made it a very bumpy ride - it was a little disappointing, however we noted that repair work was underway, which would of course improve the roads.

Probably one of the best lodges I have stayed in - they really stand out in terms of hospitality and facilities. Staff is just so good, they always call you by name, personalise your whole experience. Spa experience was also very good, game drives were informative and we saw plenty of game including 4 out of big fives. It felt we were living in a movie. Just book it, it's worth it!
I honestly have 0 feedback here.
But if I were to poke holes, I would say that Booking should really improve this review form, what if we dont have any negative things, can we not post review then?

Breakfast was very nice- but at 9000 a night in presidential suite I would expect not to pay extra for coffee at breakfast. Location was nice. Staff very friendly. It felts like they were staff short Most days.
Most luxurious lodges includes drinks too- everything here is extra.
Henry is a champion- he does just about everything! Sia is a great game ranger- very knowledgeable!

Loved the caring attitude of the staff, who worked very hard to make sure all our needs were met. We felt looked after the whole trip
Only thing, was a bit worried about drive from gate to main road, as been heavy rain during our stay.

Great views from the room balcony and a bath with a view.
The last part of the afternoon safari was in darkness and very little was seen. It would have been better to set out half an hour earlier to have a chance of spotting more wildlife.

the pool pump running under the deck detracted from being in the bush. but that was the only minor negative

Absolutely everything.
The ambiance, decor, food, staff game drives and the animals off course!
There is absolutely nothing we didn't like about the resort. Our Presidential Suite ticked all the boxes!

Where to start? We had always planned on staying at Nambiti, given that it was founded by an old school friend of mine. I hadn't been to the bush for about 20 years and wasn't sure what to expect. Anyway, we had the most incredible four nights at Umzolozolo.
Nambiti has 9 or 10 separate camps, all of which are five star. I was happy with our selection. We chose the 'honeymoon' chalet with private plunge pool and outdoor his and hers showers. It was palacial. The bed was something else, while the linen and towels were luxurious.
The food was good - there was always more than enough for us and the selection was good - but it was the saff who made the trip so special for us. They were attentive without being all over us - they got the balance just right. Wanda, Robert and Henry were especially kind and helpful, while the waiting staff were also exceptional
I can honestly say that it was worth every penny. We're already planning our next stay.

Everything at Umzolozolo was just perfect! The staff was friendly and made an effort to know our names. Our safari guide, Promise, was the Lion Whisperer - he was amazing! The park itself is very pretty and the hotel is perched on a very scenic lookout.

Our vegetarian meals were excellent. We also enjoyed the spa treatments. Siya, our ranger, was friendly and very informative. He is very passionate about the reserve and went the extra mile to make sure that we had good sightings of the animals. Robert and his staff in the dining area were always warm and accommodating. Management staff were always around to make sure that all our needs were met. Excellent service all round.

A smaller lodge that catered for a private and intimate stay. The lodge had beautiful views and our room had a stunning private pool. The food was of the highest standard and we could hardly make our way through all the courses. The staff were all exceptional in their professionalism, attentiveness and local knowledge - Henry was fantastic and ensured that we had the best stay possible.

The food was of exceptional quality....and met our needs.
Staff were so warm and friendly.
Loved our room.
Our guide was fantastic.
We felt so relaxed and comfortable.
With the virus...the cookie and sweet jars should not be left at tea station.
The food and beverage manager needs to be more friendly towards guests.
