There were 2 adult women in our party. This place was perfect for us. The kitchen was well stocked. We just had to add the food. Bathrooms were stocked with the toiletries you might forget. The property itself is very large and the falls are breathtaking. We'll be back

We were pleasantly surprised with the cottage and all it had to offer from its location to the quaintness of the interior rooms. It had everything we needed to make it a perfect little get-away for four nights. We hiked at Hickory Run State Park one day and rode bikes along the Lehigh Gorge another day- both about one-half hour drive. Walking down the path to the waterfalls on the property was also a highlight. We loved sitting on the porch and having our morning coffee and watching the hummingbird. We plan on booking the cottage again real soon and are so happy we found this little gem within 2 hours from home.

We enjoyed the comfy couch watching Netflix together. We visited the waterfall and along the way we said hello to the fish in the pond, goats and chickens, which were all on the property. We then spent a nice time on the Jack Frost golf course. This home was clean and there was plenty of hot water. 😂

My wife and I thoroughly enjoyed our stay with our older dog, Daisy. Plenty of comforts and opportunity for open air, country rejuvenation. Lots pf local history dating back 200 years in this little village. In warm weather, bring your bathing suit and float for the falls and rapids in the river (its pretty tame). The side yard is large and flat, perfect if you bring a volleyball/badminton net or cornhole. The outdoor fire pit is great, bring a box of outdoor logs like we did and your good to go for a nice evening of fire. I suggest bringing some charcoal for the iron camp site grill off of the front porch. We brought some small pieces of non-pressure treated construction wood and some cardboard to get a nice cooking fire going for a dinner of cheeseburgers and hot dogs. Inside, everything that you need is there. The Keurig was appreciated, and also the microwave. We brought paper plates, napkins, and solo cups which we used. The two window air conditioners brought a lot of relief to otherwise 90+ days outside. Finally, remember your bug spray! You are near a river and in the woods! Enjoy!!! We will return. Thanks hosts!

We enjoyed our stay in historic Stoddartsville. The cottage was as described, very clean and comfortable. We had everything we needed. It was hard to leave. We hiked along the river and on the trails around the property. There's a lot of history to learn about there. We had a couple of minor issues which our host addressed immediately. They are very nice people. It was our first time staying in the Poconos Mountains and we're looking forward to going back.

I live im Philadelphia and although I love the city it could be stressful at times. This cottage probably lowered my blood pressure. I loved the experience of staying in an historic old village. Gene

Photos must’ve been taken when it was extremely sunny and all the drapes opened. The place was extremely dark. You wouldn’t even have been able to read in there as there was Inadequate lighting. There was a big stain in the sink. The floor was dirty and they had one tiny air conditioner to cool down the entire place. Given the heat in our Our area at this time, we did not stay so this was an extremely expensive lesson that not everything on Verbo site is as advertised. Also, the host should let you know they have an adequate cooling if it’s summer We drove up and home in the same day

Long 4th of July weekend. Great location on the Lehigh. Swimming holes, barbecue, and quiet summer evenings. The cottage is a hidden gem for summer getaways, complete with AC. We were able to fish in the mornings, swim in the afternoon, and watch the evening fade on the porch.
