Nice old look, kept clean. Breakfast was good. Lots of things to look at.
Traffic noise, Dog barking. Parking unsecured at side of building.

Bookings.com accepted our reservation; and as we approached the Inn, the owner called to say there was an error on Bookings and he did not have a room available for the night. He recommended a nearby motel, part of a chain. We were grateful for the recommendation as it was dark and 6:00pm on a Sunday night.

The hosts, amazing men. The beautiful house, a jewel. The whole house is gorgeous.
The breakfast and time spent talking.
The two dogs are great companions.
The location because of the road. Our room was on the side of a very noisy road. The blinds are not dark enough.

The Caroline room was nice with a newly renovated bathroom, good location and parking.
Full disclosure I’m not a fan of dogs(I’ve been attacked before). Owner had a big dog in dining room and they seemed agitated when asked to remove it, same results when I asked for a receipt. After that, I didn’t feel comfortable staying for breakfast so I immediately left. I was warned that the TV remote did the complete opposite to what buttons do and there was no shampoo.

Location was good, outside of house well maintained. Good curb appeal.
I was attending a wedding in Barre at 3pm and was arriving from out of state. I called in route and asked if I could just check in at 2:15 and only drop off my luggage. Was told checkin is at 3 or there would be an early check in charge. Upon arrival at 8:15 pm, Host was not friendly or welcoming. I was told to remove my shoes and leave them in the lobby and then had to walk barefoot to my room. Breakfast is only between 8-8:30, checkout 10-10:30. Too many rules.

The old home was beautifully maintained/restored; full of interesting and beautiful antiques. The environment was clean and welcoming. Breakfasts were absolutely a culinary delight! Eric is a fantastic cook!
I was not crazy about taking off my shoes in the "reception room," but DO also understand that foot traffic brings dirt and wear to floors/carpets.

Very charming inn, decorated with lots of attention to style and atmosphere. Tasty breakfast, very kind hosts.
The street in front can get a bit busy during morning commute hours.

pictures are misleading
it's right on a maine road, you are demanded to take off your shoes from emails to signs, the furniture in our room looked like they got it from aunt Sally's yard sale for .10 the bed was so uncomfortable and squeaked anytime you moved even a bit, the location is on a main rd you hear every noise they don't have fans to block out the noise and the guy w the green hair - so unfriendly. couldn't wait to leave and really would just like my money back I could have stayed in a 1 star hotel and got better sleep. oh and no shampoos or conditioner when I called their phone went right to voice mail.

Location was perfect for my business travel to Northfield, VT. Breakfast was excellent and Jeffrey and Eric were attentive and provided the perfect amount of interaction that I was looking for.
It snowed quite a bit during my stay. Getting out of the parking lot was somewhat difficult one morning when the snowplows created a snow berm in front of the exit/entrance.

Large room, clean, good shower (hot and good water pressure), cute inn, warm room, lots of light. Wonderful inn that is well kept. Met one of their dogs, super cute. Cannot wear outside shoes which was fine with me and I was prepared with slippers. One of the owners carried my bag upstairs to my room which was nice of him and showed to me how the thermostat worked.
Breakfast seemed store bought, didn’t seem like it was freshly made, but maybe I am wrong? I could be wrong! It was a potato frittata with eggs and bacon, yogurt with blueberries, an English muffin and mini muffins. The owners seemed annoyed when I asked to put stuff in the fridge for overnight and asked me to hurry up giving them what needed to go in the fridge. Had to check in by 7pm or else it’s $25 extra, why? I got there in time but seems odd especially with snowy conditions. They probably would not have charged me since it was snowing but I got there at exactly 7pm!

Beautifully restored historic property. Nice host.
It was a shame that there were only blinds at the windows which let in a lot of light.
We were at the front so it was a little noisy.
The room was a little chilly but a heating unit was available.

A passionately restored, renovated and decorated grand heritage house in New England.
We didn't just stay for a night as travelers, we were given a free piano concert by the host. The morning delicious round table breakfast was delicious. It gave the guests from various walks of life and nationalit a friendly atmosphere to chat.
Thanks to Jeffrey for helping us taking one of our suitcases upstairs.
Not much commercial a activities nearby.

Lovely renovated historic building, short walk into town.
Bed was too small, had to remove shoes in entrance and walk around in socks or ‘inside’ shoes. Inn is on a busy road which is noisy in the morning.

Very grand decor. Excellent breakfast. Lovely to join with other travelers around the breakfast table.
Being an old home the bathrooms are retrofitted and very small.

nice Victorian type home, good parking next to property, great breakfast both days! comfortable bed.
the hosts need to work on their people skills. curt, never smiling much, never offering insights to area attractions. probably decent people, but definitely need more people skills.

Owners cooked an amazing breakfast and were very personable to everyone staying there, house was very well kept.

Candidly, not much but in fairness, the breakfast was excellent.
No coffee available before 8 or 8:30 breakfast!!! Good grief!!! Get with it.
1. It is located on a very busy, very noisy corner. Not much they can do about that.
2. They insist that guests take their shoes off at the front door. While I understand the reason for that - I think they need to provide slip-on slippers…if that is the policy. walking around in one’s socks is more than a bit whacky!!! Maybe if they were very clear and forewarned guests and asked them to bring indoor-only footwear it would work better.
3. The bathroom did not have and shampoo nor tissue, nor did the room.
4. There is virtually nowhere to put anything down in them bathroom except the dinky little sink.
5. There was no extra toilet tissue roll either. our role ran out.

Absolutely beautiful property and gorgeous room, good locally sourced breakfast around the dining room table with the other guests (8-8.30am).
Miranda room is on the main road and so experienced some traffic noice (ear plugs helped)

Beautiful restored house
The ‘rules’ are quite restrictive and should be in the hotel write up

Bed was comfortable. The room was nice and spacious. Breakfast was good but we later found they charged us extra for it when it was included in the final price we were supposed to be charged.
Cool reception on arrival. No tea or coffee facility. No advice for local eating places.
No receipt but it looks like they charged us for breakfast which was supposed to be included in the final price.
Public areas were dark gloomy. A bit creepy.

Very unique place. Probably our fault but we were not informed of breakfast/time and check out time. I'm sure it was somewhere to be found, but we did not find it or knew. It all worked out, though.
A little noisy at night but nothing anyone can do about that. :)
