Maplecroft B&B was a highlight of our trip!

Maplecroft Bed & Breakfast far exceeded our expectations on all levels! Karen greeted us as we arrived and made us feel at home right away. She also told us about some great local things to see (Meltdown restaurant right across the street, Morse Farm, Rock of Ages Quarry tour, and Hope Cemetery). We were invited to use the common living rooms at our leisure and help ourselves to the coffee at any time. The breakfasts were delicious, including homemade bread used for the French toast and huevos rancheros on our second morning (we stayed 3 days). Every design detail in this classic house is covered. The rooms are beautifully decorated, the room we stayed in was comfortable, including robes, a writing desk, side chair, and plenty of closet space. Our bathroom had a clawfoot tub, and even the radiator was decorative! We would definitely stay here again.

Historic Home in Historic Vermont

Loved the design and decor of the home. The fact that the B&B operator had so many connections to New Orleans allowed the conversations at breakfast to be very open. The food was excellent.

That we couldn't stay longer and see some of the surrounding areas more.

Pleasant

We were served excellent breakfasts on both mornings by the owner. The property is conveniently situated, not far from the town centre and Barre was convenient for touring the area.

A duster flicked over the furniture would have helped.

This really is a special place. The owners have outdone themselves on this B&B in Barre VT. The history of this old Victorian house is exceptional, and it feels very cozy!

Caryn was an amazing innkeeper! Easy to talk to, friendly, and amazing food! I would come back if I was in the area!

It's a small thing but the seal on the windows could be better since it got a bit cold in the middle of the night.

I’d stay again if I had no other options.

it was clean and neat. we’ll decorated.

parking was difficult. definitely NOT accessible for anyone with any difficulties. no easy access from street as steps had no rail. if someone with even slight disabilities wanted to stay it wouldn’t be possible. wasn’t crazy about the breakfast.

Classic Victorian home and artifacts with friendly host.

Lovely homemade and locally sourced breakfasts were the highlight of the visit. There are several restaurants within a short walk - we like the Pearl Street Pizza.

Bathroom lighting was scant, as was counter space.

Our stay was what we expect from a B&B.

Host communicated effectively with us relative to arriving at Maplecroft and details of our stay. Breakfast was very good.

Lighting for the Keurig coffee make could have been better. Seeing the buttons was difficult.

Wonderful Victorian house, very clean, very attentive owner, good breakfasts.

Location is within walking distance of downtown Barre.

Traffic noise in the morning hinders breakfast conversation. Loud and constant but beyond control of the Inn

I wish we could have stayed longer. It was perfect for our family of 4. I wasn’t expecting a full breakfast, but we were served fresh sausage & Eggs and fruit. it was delicious!

It is a beautiful home. Caryn makes great home made breakfast. Very clean nice room, comfortable bad. Nice bathroom with great towels and soaps. I had home made cookies in my room. Nice touch.

In my room the bathoom was across the hall and the lights on all night.

We stayed in the tower room. The room had everything we needed to have a fantastic stay.

A beautiful, comfortable, welcoming B and B with great breakfasts.

It is a spacious, beautiful, restored Victorian home with well-appointed guest rooms. The room was lovely with a very comfortable bed. There were shared living spaces downstairs and a wrap around porch to sit outside and enjoy. Caryn was incredibly welcoming and gave helpful information on the area. Caryn made wonderful breakfasts each morning with homemade breads and fresh, local ingredients. We had a wonderful stay.

I couldn't get more than a trickle from the shower, but the bathtub was really clean so at least I could do a tub-bath.

For myself I have difficulty with stairs but was able to hold on the railing which helped.

The breakfasts were amazing.

I did not like to see these black bugs .I killed one on the wall in the bedroom and one had landed on the bed and manged to kill it on the floor and I did the same to the one in the bathroom.

Comfort in Barre VT

Comfortable and spacious room. Excellent breakfast with good coffee! Loved the Eco- sensitive product line for soaps and shampoo/conditioner.

Stairs! (I know it is a Victorian home...) Room Air Conditioner did not really cool the space.
