About this apartment rental

A romantic get away or a fisherman's paradise, you can have it both
ways here. As the moon rises over the ocean you can take your
special someone for a walk on the 860 foot private pier. Just sit
and watch the waves roll in while you enjoy each other, or grab the
fishing pole and come try your luck with the great fishing.
You can sit on your balcony, in this 5th floor ocean front unit, and watch the
sun rise. You can see for long distances up and down
the beach. Watch the dolphins at play or the shrimp boats heading out
for the day. The beach is very quiet, with sometimes, no
one for as far as you look both ways. (This can be anytime of day.)
With family at the beach, pool or pier, just walk out on the balcony
and you can have them all in view. Maybe they are at the tennis court,
that's out the front door.
The master bedroom has a king size bed and is on the ocean side so
at night you can raise the windows and let the ocean lull you to
sleep. The great room has sliding glass doors to the balcony. The
sofa and love seat are large recliners. Comcast is available on the
36' TV in the great room. There is also a TV in the master bedroom and the guest bedroom. The guest bedroom has two queen size beds.
When you go down to the beach be sure to take something to put the
sharks teeth in, yes I said sharks teeth. On Amelia Island they
dredge the St. Mary's River and it releases fossils & sharks teeth
that are distributed down the beach. One of my favorite pastimes
(as well as many other islanders) is looking for teeth & fossils.
It's a lot of fun once you get the hang of it. Or you can drive down
to the south end of the island, and enjoy horse back riding on the beach.
Tired of the beach, the historic downtown area is awesome. Great
shopping, restaurants, boat rides that will give you the history of the island, and take you over to view the wild horses of Cumberland Island, charter fishing boats, and so much more. The Jacksonville Flea
Market is open on the weekends. And don't forget GOLF. There are
several challenging golf courses on Amelia Island with all the
courses just minutes away. Walk across the street to enjoy dinner at the Surf restaurant, or grill out here with one of our community grills for dinner or family tailgate party for the Georgia Florida football game.
The kitchen and great room were recently remodeled with new custom
cabinets, marble counter tops, all new appliances, ceramic tile
floors. Washer and dryer are in the unit for your convenience. .
Everything is there to make your stay comfortable and relaxing.
Once you stay at the condo on Amelia Island, and enjoy the quiet, laid back
feeling of the island, you'll want to return again and again.

This is the perfect condo in the perfect location with the perfect view. Even during spring break, it was peaceful and relaxing. The people were wonderful with great communication from check in to check out. We are already planning another trip.

We wanted a place on the beach without the carnival atmosphere. We hit the jackpot. There is so much to see and so much to do with a "local" atmosphere! We mainly stayed on the beach during the day. We saw dolphins almost everyday from the water and from our room! Everything you need is there. Simple check in. Great security. Wonderful staff. The owner even contacted us to give us tips on shark tooth hunting! We will be back. If you are going to Amelia Island this is your place. Condo was very clean, roomy and the beds were awesome!

This was a wonderful property for my wife, children, and mother-in-law. The weather was less-than-ideal (and changed often from the forecasted constant rain!) But we got some sun and sand castles at the beach, tried our hand fishing from the pier, read on the balcony, visited the pool, played tennis, etc. I really appreciated the host's communication (host was never needed but made availability very easy). Not crowded. The island was great. It had everything you needed for short vacations (plus plenty for folks there longer term). There were lots of bike paths I still want to explore as well as activities like putt-putt. I can definitely see is coming back to the same spot another time.

We loved the condo. Very clean. Comfortable beds and furniture. The coffee maker wasn't working when we arrived but was replaced as soon as we let them know which was really appreciated. The private fishing pier and grills were of great benefit to our family.

This was a much need and rejuvenating vacation for us. The condo is beautiful and I can't say enough about how helpful DJ was! The weather was great and the beach is not too crowded. I highly recommend staying there. Amelia island offers many adventures without the hectic crowds of other places.

If you want to wake up to sunrises and walks on the beach, this two-bedroom, two-bath property has what you are looking for. A higher floor location in this family-friendly building is comfortable for 5-6 people, including children, and convenient to shopping locations for food, general supplies, restaurants and downtown Fernandina Beach attractions. Some of the living room furniture has been recently replaced with comfortable reclining theatre-style sofas. The kitchen is well laid out for food preparation, though limited in dish selection. The beds are comfortable, the closets adequate for short-term stays. The daytime on-site staff is helpful and able to get any missing or poorly functioning issues promptly addressed (a difficult door lock was replaced within 24-hours at our request). An enjoyable, friendly stay!

My wife and I throughly enjoyed staying at this 5th floor condo at “ Amelia by the Sea.” This great location on the beach two bedroom condo has very nice furnishings, large bedrooms and a great view of the beach and ocean. This unit far exceeded our expectations and we will definitely stay here in the future.

Overall our stay was very good. The condo was exactly as we expected. Everything was clean and ready to go! We had all tithe kitchen and bath items needed for a great stay. The pool was amazing and very relaxing. We didn’t take advantage of the pier this trip for fishing but would definitely try in the future. My family all agreed we’d come back and stay.

Property in general was a little dated. For our particular condo, the master bed and bath has been extensively updated, but not so much the rest of the condo. Hoping that is in the works. Plenty of towels and sheets, though. The owner was very responsive. Never heard from onsite property management once we got there, but we didn't need any assistance. Was disappointed that trash was building up outside and not being collected. We had to go all the way to the other side to get rid of our trash. I'm sure the holiday schedule had something to do with it, but there were mattresses, old tv & plywood sitting in the parking lot. Location was great! Thanks for a very nice stay.

Amelia By the Sea is a perfect place for our annual family vacation! We wouldn't want to go anywhere else and don't need to! There is something for everyone in our family. The private pier allows daddy to fish all day (and night!) while my toddler and I play on the beach in the cool shade for hours right below him without getting sunburned! The boardwalk provides convenient and easy access from the condo/pool to the beach, and every balcony has a beach view! Amelia Island is such a beautiful and quite place, and we enjoy staying here every summer. The property is very well maintained and clean as well. We look forward to our stay every year!

I decided to surprise the wife with a little trip to the beach for our anniversary. Needless to say she was delighted. DJ arranged to have champagne on ice & flowers ready on our arrival. The place was beautiful, the moon was full & we were in love! Could not have been better. Thank you, thank you, thank you for helping me with my surprise & exceeding my expectations. WE WILL BE BACK!!!!!

The unit was clean and very comfortable. We loved waking up to the beautiful sunrises. We had a great time and had no worries. I would highly recommend this for your next vacation. They have tennis courts and a very nice pool. So you wouldn't even have to ever leave the complex.

We have been going to ABS since 1986. There has been lots of changes and improvements. We are pleased with staff they are always helpful. We have rented the same unit since 2011. The owner is always helpful to make our stay fun. It has a walk in rain shower which is very nice. We have recommend ABS to lots of our friends. The fishing pier is a major attraction. We also enjoy all the good sea food at restaurants near by.

We have stayed at Amelia by the Sea many times & always in the same condo. We picked the week of Labor Day this time & we had a wonderful time. The weather was great & the condo, as always, was comfortable, clean & very relaxing! All our needs were met & we didn't have to think of a thing........except going out to EAT! Lots of great places to try new & go back to the ones we knew were good! All in all a wonderful time, as always!!!

This was our first visit to Amelia Island and we just LOVED it. The view from our condo was fantastic! Could not wait to open the doors to the balcony in order to see and hear the water. Listening to the waves was so relaxing. Felt like we were in heaven. Very private. Not many people on the beach or pier. Walked for hours on the beach and took tons of beautiful pictures - just mesmerized by the water. The condo is in a great location -- close to wonderful restaurants and the historic downtown area. The master bedroom and bath are beautiful. Loved the shower! Definitely plan to return. Terry and Rich

I have been coming to Amelia Islands ever since I was 7yrs old. Now in my thirties it is still my favorite place to go! Amelia by the Sea is the only place I like to go with the pier being the only private pier on the Island it's great for fishing, has a beautiful private pool they've recently upgraded & really out did themselves with a secured access to the pool and beach area just makes it all the more better. There's tennis courts and a lawn area to give something for the kids to do, but the beach is of coarse their favorite (mine too)! I love the ocean views 550 gives us off the balcony, but the upgrades are AMAZING! I want their contractor to come to my place! The master bath is more like a spa! I love the rain shower head! I love to be able to hear the ocean from the master bedroom! With a sliding door entrance to the balcony, watching the sunrise over the ocean is breathtaking. It has everything my family & myself need, being a quite retreat to spend quality time together. I love the open concept throughout the living room, dining area, & kitchen. There is another full bath and bed room with a full bed and twin. Which is a huge convenience. As well as a washer and dryer! It is truly home away from home for my family & I. The condo room is equipped with everything our family needs!

This was the most pleasant vacation we have had in a long time. The condo was spacious and the view from the balcony was great!! It gave us the time we needed just to relax and walk on the beach and fish from the pier. The shops were very nice and there were lots of places to eat. The food was great. We are planning to come back more often and would recommend it to all our friends.
