About this house rental

You will be as comfortable as you are at your own home, but you'll have the luxury of only being steps away from Lake Champlain's refreshing water.
Swim, float, splash, fish!
Spend your days on the lake with your water toys or on the grassy lawn with your yard games, take a beautiful walk around the island, or just sit back, relax, and enjoy the view! Bring your kayaks, or rent ours for a weekly fee. Paddle in our rentable paddle boat. Bring your boat, with size restrictions, or rent one at the nearby marina! Between Memorial Day and Labor Day use our shared dock to fish from or to tie up your own boat for easy access.

After a day of outdoor fun and sunshine, you'll find everything you need to prepare family meals in our fully-equipped kitchen and out on the deck with a gas grill. Enjoy family dinners on the large outside deck table where you can listen to the lake or the rustling of the leaves from our wonderful shade trees. Need a break from the sun, our large dining table inside will accommodate you also. End your fabulous days sitting around the large fire on our lakeside patio. Find constellations in the sky overhead, roast marshmallows for s'mores and share laughs and memories of the day.

When the fun of the day and the night air tucker you out, slip into our very comfortable beds. Our king and 1 queen bedroom have personalizing head and feet heights. Our other queen is a brand new mattress. The kids will love our twin beds with lighthouse decor. Two family rooms, one with a pull-out couch, can accommodate two seperate movie nights.

In the Fall we are located in the perfect area for leaf peeping, fall festivals, and amazing restaurants.

This home has been a family home for 50 years and we cater to families and their time spent together. For this reason we do not rent our home unless an adult over 27 is on site at all times and signs the rental agreement. Thank you.

We clean and disinfect all surfaces after each rental with guidelines from VRBO.

This lovely cottage was a cozy place to have our family Thanksgiving which sometimes had 10 of us for meals, but 6 staying overnight. Comfy beds, nice big dining table, and well-stocked kitchen. Beautiful view but it rained almost all weekend. Nevertheless, we had a great time and would return in future.

We attended a family wedding on Grand Isle and this home was just a few miles away from the venue. We loved the lake views and enjoyed an evening by the outdoor fireplace in the perfect fall weather.

We had such a great time at this lovely lake house! Plenty of room for 6 adults and 3 pre-teen kids. Great dock for swimming and fishing, yard for lawn games, and well equipped kitchen, plus outdoor grill, for making big summer meals. Agree with my nephew's statement "this place is great, we should come back here next year!".

Overall, we had a great time and really enjoyed the lake, firepit, sunrises, and sunsets. The inside of the house looks much better in person than the pictures show. We met the owners on our last day and they were very kind. I have to be honest that it wasn't what I expected though. We checked in around 7pm and it was pitch dark outside. You have to drive down to the house on the grass because it's in front of another house/garage with no driveway. While I was trying to unload the car and figure out how to check-in, a neighbor came up to me with a flashlight in an intimidating manner. I had to initiate conversation asking if he was the owner and he said he was the neighbor. I told him we would be staying for the next few days and he said he usually knows when there are guests coming. I had to reassure him that we booked this house. Not such a welcoming experience for a girl in the pitch dark in the middle of nowhere. I was really startled. Also, while trying to figure out which door to enter in the dark, I walked up the back deck through massive spiderwebs everywhere. Once I turned on the lights, I saw the entire deck and chairs were covered in webs and big spiders. We had to spend hours cleaning it with a broom before we could use it. There were also a lot of rules for the house. There were notes on all the windows facing the lake to not touch the blinds so we couldn't enjoy the view like we wanted to while we were inside. There was another rule about only smoking by the firepit so my boyfriend had to walk in total darkness to the lake anytime he wanted to smoke instead of just going out on the deck. For the firepit, there was no wood provided next to it, so we had to walk far down to the other house to get some. Every other place I've booked, the hosts have prepped the first fire for their guests or at least provided some wood next to the firepit. Lastly, there were only bare essentials provided inside the house. 1-2 toilet paper rolls, 1 additional paper towel roll, 4 dishwasher pods, 2 towels, 3 garbage bags. The batteries were dead on the remotes, so we had to spend our own money on basics like batteries, toilet paper and dishwasher pods. I believe we were the last guests of the season, so maybe it is better prepped in the summer but it could have been a much better experience for us for the price we paid.
