COUPLES/PARTIES OF TWO: The site automatically gives you a discount when your guest count is 2 or less. The guidelines for the discount is that it is for 2 people, sharing 1 Bedroom and 1 Bathroom, ONLY the Master Bedroom and adjoining Bathroom will be open. All other Bedroom(s)/Bathroom(s) will be locked off. The entire rest of the home is yours to enjoy privately. The locked off bedroom(s) & bathroom(s) will NOT be rented out to anyone else. If your party of two is not a couple and you would like the use of an additional Bedroom and Bathroom there is a small $25 per night additional linen fee to compensate for lower rate we offer for couples sharing 1 room. We unfortunately have to lock off the additional rooms as we’ve had occasions where the home was booked for 2 and unpaid for guests were brought in which is unfortunate. If you have ANY questions regarding our pricing please inquire before booking your reservation to avoid any unnecessary misunderstandings.
ADDITIONAL GUEST FEE’S: Although the description of the home indicates that it CAN accommodate 8 guests, we choose to offer this home at a reduced rate for smaller groups. If your guest count exceeds that number of guests, there will be an 'additional guest fee' of $30 per person per night to compensate for the lower rate we have listed for smaller groups, until the maximum occupancy of this home is reached. We price our home in this fashion because we want to be fair to all group sizes, small and large alike. If we only offered a ‘flat rate’ no matter how many guests, smaller groups would pay the same as a larger group and we don’t think that is fair. We feel a smaller groups should pay less than a larger group. Most guests appreciate the break for their smaller group.
Pets:
CATS: None of our homes allow for cats, no exceptions.
DOGS/Other animals: No animals are allowed in this home. It's intended to be an allergen-free environment and includes animals of all kinds except legally mandated service animals with proof of service papers. If you bring a dog into our pet free home there will be an immediate fee of $250 no exceptions.
OUTSIDE FIRES (Not allowed usually between May and October ASK before doing so!!): California has been experiencing a severe drought and the area is extremely dry and the potential for a Wildfire is just to high to risk allowing guests to have an outdoor fire usually between May and October (ASK before lighting one!!). This regulation is determined by our local Fire Department and the banned months could be extended at any time. If you do not find a Fire Pit or Chiminea at the home, the fire ban is in place and they are not allowed PERIOD. When the fire ban is lifted, outside fires are allowed and they MUST be in an approved Fire Pit or Chiminea. If a outdoor fire pit or Chiminea is not provided, DO NOT under any circumstances gather rocks or other materials from around the home and create your own! This does not apply to the Propane BBQ's that are provided for your cooking pleasure. DO NOT use the BBQ for anything other than cooking your meal on, they are NOT intended to be used as a 'Fire Pit' and due to the propane tank attached to them they could explode by doing so.
Security Camera's: Guest acknowledges there are 1 outside Security Camera's onsite. They are located and they view the front entry and the driveway.

Enjoyed our stay. The game room was super fun and the large family room was comfy. The host was super nice and responsive. The property was close to Yosemite and to all things in town.

We loved this place! There is a lot of space and room to spread out. The kitchen is spacious and we cooked every evening. It was very clean and comfortable and we kept saying ‘we love this place!’ We also thought the location was fantastic. You are very close to Highway 41 in Oakhurst on the way to Yosemite but you are tucked away with trees and a creek. We saw deer, bluebirds, woodpeckers, and quails. So it felt more like a cabin a bit more off the beaten path. We were there to visit Yosemite for hiking and also to fly fish. It is an easy drive to Yosemite and there was a fly fishing guide on the corner. The host, Terri, is very nice and checked in on the first day. They have good recommendations in a binder so check that out if you need ideas. Thank you again, Terri!

We had a nice time and tye property was in an easy location to get everywhere you needed to go without driving too far out of the way. My husband and I enjoyed the hot tub and the fireplace. Nice big kitchen with all the necessities. The air hockey table didn't turn on and the windows were leaky in the game room when it rained, but other than that, all was as described. Would reccomend for families.

House and area was nice although I wasn’t happy with the backyard, pictures were deceiving and this was one of the may reasons I booked the house. Leaves, weeds and cigarette buds were not appealing. Left over items from previous guess cooking utensils need to be gone through and items should be disposed of if not in good working order or presentable. We had a great time enjoying the surrounding area and lake although we will book a hotel for our next visit.

Great Getaway -Good location
Overall we had a great time with my with teenage kids and husband. We spent time on the lake which was close by and went into town which was walking distance. The cleanliness of the home definitely could've been better. The front and back looked nothing like the pictures. Everything was over grown and unkept. Bbq was filthy. None of the games had all the pieces but luckily we brought our own.
Decor was pretty outdated. Minor updates would do this home some good

Good Location and space
We stayed from July 17 till July 22. The owner was very receptive to questions concerning the area and the ongoing wildfire which closed the south entrance to Yosemite. The property has a lot of space and is convenient to locations within Oakhurst. However, I believe the pictures need to be updated to reflect what the property looks like now instead of 5-10 years ago. The private outdoor area is overgrown with weeds and in no way reflects the pictures in the listing. Also, certain areas within the property need to be dusted (all ceiling fans, areas under TV's and the return for the air conditioner near the dining room table).

Great Location to Giant Sequoias
Property is nestled just off the main road through Oakhurst. It felt like we were out far but really only minutes away from town. Very convenient to catch the YARTS bus to Yosemite. Very spacious living area and Kitchen. Rooms and beds were comfortable. The hot tub was relaxing after a day of hiking. Definitely would stay here again.

A Fun Place for groups and family
This was a very fun place for the family to stay while visiting the National Parks. My family used the fire pit, hot tub, cornhole, tether ball, air hockey and the foosball. It was very spacious and well kept. It's not brand new but it is cute, with a woodsy feel, vaulted ceilings. We would definitely recommend if the extra ammenities appeal to your group!

Spacious
The home is open and roomy. The furnishings are top quality. Showers work well with plenty of hot water. Convenient to town and Yosemite. Quietly and private. We enjoyed using the fire place. Would stay there again.

A great change of pace.
After working many hours since the onset of COVID, and using what little time I was taking off to get things done around my own home, it was time for an actual vacation.
I reserved Riverwalk after finding it here on VRBO because we decided to cancel a Disneyland trip (multiple reasons)and I'm so glad we did.
The house is very nice and the ad is accurate. Clean, quiet, private, and very easy access to highway 41 for stores, some restaurants, and of course the southern gate to Yosemite. There's a folder with all sorts of ideas to do during your stay as well.
My 10 year old enjoyed the stay and we played quite a few rounds of air hockey and some other stuff on one day (had to complete some online stuff for prior commitments)
Terri, was very quick to respond the couple times I texted her.
I'd certainly book this place again without hesitation, it was a great time getting away from the hustle and Bustle of the S.F. Bay Area for a couple days.
Thanks Terri!

Close get away!
Nice BIG house, picture makes it look cleaner than it was. Also it should state you are in a neighborhood, the picture made it look like you were on secluded property. I think a family with kids would find this the perfect place. The creek was nice and the jacuzzi.

Relaxing
Terri made the stay awesome. She was easy to reach and communicate with. The house was perfect for teenage girls; a game room, jacuzzi, and for pit! Plus thrift stores and great food within walking distance. Wonderful, relaxing home.

The house was great. Plenty of room. The kids loved the jacuzzi and games. 3 bathrooms was such a blessing when you have a family. We weren't electronic saavy enough to figure out the TV remotes. Lol

Needs some improvement
It felt like this property hasn’t been used in awhile. It wouldn’t take much to make it more inviting. The lighting is very poor. The switches could be labeled and bulbs replaced. The dishwasher door needs lubrication as it makes a horrible screeching sound when used. The sliding door on the first bedroom also makes a horrible noise when used.

Wonderful stay!
We had a great stay on this property! Our kids had fun wading in the little creek at the back of the property, the house was spacious and clean, and the property manager was very responsive to questions. The only thing I’d say that wasn’t exactly as expected was being able to walk to restaurants. There was only 1 we could walk to easily, and another was close but you had to walk right next to the freeway where there was no sidewalk, so it felt a little sketchy (we had to hold our kids, wait for traffic to slow, and then run by holding them before more cars came). Not a huge deal at all, but from the description we thought we’d have more accessible options. Otherwise, a totally wonderful getaway - would definitely stay again!

Comfy and convenient
We really enjoyed our stay in this company and convenient location. It was close enough to town to be able to go up and pick up dinner or a snack. The kitchen was well-stocked with dishes and a few little extras. Everything was clean and well-maintained. We really like the binder that had lots of info about area attractions and the best way to visit. This would be great for a larger amily as well. They were only three of us.

Perfect Plus
So happy we found this property! It was exactly as described. Having a 13 year-old grandson along for his special trip, and having the two master bedrooms fit our needs perfectly! After a long day at the park, it was so nice to come “home” to the quiet of our own place, then head out to the enclosed bonus room and play some air hockey or outside for cornhole toss. Home was clean and location perfect. Thanks so much!!

Great Yosemite area stay
We spent 2 happy nights at Riverwalk after hiking at Yosemite. The hot tub was perfectly soothing afterwards and we made tasty breakfasts in the morning. Terry was a great host.

Great Location, Large Space
My partner and I and another couple stayed here for five days. We spent most of our time in Yosemite, but this was a great place to come back to each night. We loved the hot tub, the backyard patio, the large kitchen and the spacious living area. We also made good use of the game room too. The host was very communicative and helped make sure we had everything we needed while settling in. Highly recommend if you are coming to check out Yosemite!

Perfect getaway for couples, friends, or family!
We rented the home for a romantic couples getaway. It was perfect! I definitely loved the feeling of being in a home rather than a hotel. We enjoyed being able to cook our own food in such a huge kitchen. We loved the hot tub, & the game room. Everything was just so cozy. We also couldnt help but to keep thinking about how we wanted to come back another time, but next time we want to bring our kids. I loved how Terri (the owner) provided simple instructions in a booklet so we wouldnt forget, and how she provided a list of awesome things we could do in the area.

Christmas Vacation
This house was great to my family for our first Christmas Vacation. I wanted something that would keep my family entertained because we planned on staying in. The Foosball table and air hockey kept our teens entertained. The kitchen was perfect in size and I want to add that I cooked a full Holiday meal. The owners were great with responding to us and even dropped off a lantern for us. We had 3 adults and 4 children and their house was big enough to house us comfortably. Thanks to the owners again for lending the property to our blended family. We created memories and started traditions!

Had an amazing time very big comfortable home. Had fun playing with the arcade games in the outside house. Definitely needs some updates tho but besides that it was very nice place we will be coming back for sure. Terri was very easy to reach an was responsive to us, very quickly. Thank you for letting us stay here we had a wonderful time.

Oakhurst stay
The house was nice, the game room was disappointing the air hockey table did not work. The path to the river was not a path at all and the river bank was over grown. The teatherball and teatertoter was not in playerable shape (my granddaughter was looking forward to the teatertoter)
It would be best to replace them or delete them from your advertisement, the path to the river also. I do not write public reviews,I don’t believe in them.

Comfortable, homey & lots of fun
This was much more house than we needed, but it's so fairly priced we felt fine about it. There's only 2 bedrooms, but a bigger group could have lots of room to sleep more people. The 4 of us had plenty of space for ourselves. The spacious living room that's open to the kitchen & dining room gave us a fun communal area where we could talk, eat, and cook all at the same time. We loved lighting a fire and sitting in the living room. We found what we needed in the kitchen to be able to cook a meal, with a good variety of pots, pans, plates, utensils, etc.
The location is very close to the main road in Oakhurst, just off hwy 41, but it truly feels like you're far more isolated. We couldn't hear or see the road, and yet it was super easy to go to the grocery store, get coffee, or head into Bass Lake & Yosemite.
Oakhurst is a cool mountain town, but it seems like it's growing into a bustling city. There's no traffic, but you can tell that it's excellent location and proximity to Yosemite & elsewhere is making it a popular destination. There are 3 big hotels that are nearly done being constructed right in the middle of town on 41. We definitely enjoyed it, but I wonder if it will change it's character in a few years.
Any time of year is great to be there. The elevation is low enough (around 3800 ft I believe) that there's probably no snow, but you're less than 30 minutes from it during winter. Summer would encourage you to spend more time outside. The back yard and river behind the house make that a fun option too, with a huge picnic table, other patio furniture, hot tub, and game room.
Mary was very easy to communicate with via text or email.
There was one thing that could have been a fluke, but it's worth mentioning. The back bedroom's shower/bath water didn't heat up all the way. We tried in the morning to get it hot but it got lukewarm at best. The other bathrooms didn't have this problem, nor did the kitchen. No one else had used any hot water before this, and the washing machine & dishwasher hadn't been run either, so it couldn't have been that. Still, it was a minor thing for us in the whole scheme of things.
We drove to Yosemite Valley one day, and it took us about an hour and a half (max). There was 20 min of traffic at the gate, so leave in the morning.
Other things to see/do:
- Fish Camp (town)
- Tenaya Lodge (cool hotel with lots to do)
- Bass Lake (3-5 mi away; wakeboarding)
- Horseback Riding
- Railroad tours

Good place to stay
The house is big. Huge, very good for a family
I gave only 4 stars for cleaning only because of the outside,it didn’t felt so clean
Inside is 5 stars
And communication I gave 4 stars because I couldn’t call and speak on the phone before we came. That is important to me
Other then that it was fine

Wonderful stay
We had a great time at the house, which is a nice 35-ish minute drive to the southern entrance to Yosemite. The house was spacious and accommodated our group of adults and kids perfectly. The kids really enjoyed the small game room.
