About this house rental
This house has tons of windows, loads of natural light, and beautiful finished pine floors. It's about a 10 minute walk to the beach, and a 10 minute walk to the pier. Tucked back in a quiet neighborhood, far enough away from the noise, but close enough to still enjoy all the activities. There's a great porch attached to the house with a nice patio set to sit and relax and enjoy the sun....or get some shade! Good sized fenced in yard and driveway for 3 vehicles. Brought my family to OOB for the first time and this place was a half mile to the beach, park, along with all attractions. It was great to walk everywhere. Nice yard for my little kids to run around when we were not at the beach.

First off, I would like to say we loved the location of the house. We traveled with 3 kids and the walk to the beach was easy. The house itself was in ill repair. The staircase railing going upstairs was wobbly and the porch out back had loose boards, and the yard was overgrown. The house was not clean and no sheets, towels or t.p. was provided. I would not go back again.

We enjoyed the house and location in OOB. It worked well for us as we like to walk a lot and could walk to the beach and many shops, bars and restaurants. For those that couldn’t walk as much, it is an easy drive and lots of paid parking and some free if you can find it.
We also enjoyed the grill and sitting outside in the sunshine.

Had a great week here with my wife and two small children. The walk to the beach and pier are both moderate, we did it with wagons and at time a baby carrier and was still manageable. The house is in a quiet neighborhood and is very well decorated and configured. Kitchen is nice and well stocked, living room has lots of sitting areas for the family, and bedrooms are nice, although the mattresses for the twin beds are not very comfortable. The shed with items for the beach is great and the yard, deck, and grill were great! We thought the house could be just a bit cleaner (but was good overall), and we wished it had some more items to save on packing (towels, sheets, etc,) but overall we had a great time and wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

My family traveled to Maine for vacation this year for the first time. The home was exactly as described. It was very clean and cozy. It was an easy walk to the pier and beach which we did daily. The little fresh fish market a couple blocks away was fantastic and we made lobster omelets in the well stocked kitchen Our sons made new friends with the neighbor boys and played in the yard when we were not at the beach. Off street parking was ideal and there were enough beach chairs for everyone. We definitely recommend this property! Thank you for making our first trip to Maine wonderful!

There were 5 adults and a child and we all had plenty of space to gather in this clean, comfortable cottage. Close to the beach-only 15 minute walk, and with beach stroller and chairs available in the shed it was easy. Cooked on a new gas grill that was great to use. New washer and dryer made hauling fewer clothes on vacation a bonus(more room for souvenirs)! Shelly's(around the corner) has awesome lobster rolls and Italians! Enjoyable week.

We had a wonderful holiday, the house was beautiful and clean and well equipped with everything we could possible need for a week at the beach.
Deborah, the owner, gave us clear and concise instructions and we had absolutely no problems accessing the property, and did not need to contact the owner at all during our stay.
We had access to beach chairs and equipment, which was a really nice bonus. The walk to the beach only took a few minutes. The neighbourhood was peaceful and this made sitting out on the deck in the evening very enjoyable. The walk into Old Orchard did not take long, we enjoyed the easy access to all the amenities in the town.
We would definitely recommend this house to friends and family, and will be booking it again for next summer.
