Spacious house with plenty of rooms, well-equipped kitchen, large dining table, beautiful views of the river, and convenient location near the mountain.

We had a large group of families with teenagers and there was plenty of room for all. The house is in a private location with a nice brook/river behind it for great views but is also very close to Skyeship base lodge which is very convenient. The main part of town was a quick ride as well. Communication with the host was great- she provided very clear instructions and was quick to answer any questions. The fireplace in the living room is great with plenty of wood available at the property. Kitchen was well stocked and there is a large table for group dining.

Overall the house was very nice. We were a family of eight adults and five children under six yrs. Having seven bedrooms was a plus and a separate eating area was nice. The place is showing some age, but with young kids, it didn’t matter. Plenty of kitchen and dinner ware and lots of firewood. Only downside was the TV did not work well and wasn’t resolved during our stay. Location to the Skyship gondola can’t be beaten.

We had a large group of people, friends and family. Some people stayed a couple nights, some stayed the whole time. The location is fabulous, the amenities are just right & having lots of bedrooms and bathrooms is a serious plus! Thank you Kristen!

Plenty of rooms whether you’re going with a bunch of kids, multiple families, or a lot of couples. The pictures don’t do this place justice (recommend updating with more quality pictures) because everything is much nicer when you get inside. Quiet location at a dead end, beautiful Brook in the back, and awesome open living room with tons of seating in front of a giant fireplace with unlimited firewood. Simple 10 minute drive to everything you need including the mountain. Highly recommend.

We had a large varied group and 2 dogs and it was the perfect spot! The house is set up so well, we really enjoyed it. It never felt to stuffy or anything. Would stay again in a heartbeat!

Brookview Lodge is a very comfortable and clean lodge that is 3 minutes away from the bottom of Skyeship and 10 minutes away from the nice restaurants on Killington Rd. It provides the comforts of home with the serene beauty and quiet location backing onto a river. The hot tub feels great at the end of the day. This was a great rental for our family and we would be happy to return and we recommend it.

Great property, 7 min drive to the base lodge at Bear Mountain. Lovely stream next to the house. Couldn’t have asked for more!

My friends and I thought this house was great. Clean, big and lots of bedrooms to spread out. We will be back!

The property was just what we expected from the pictures. There was plenty of room to spread out. The house was clean and well stocked with dishes, pans, cooking utensils (even a bottle of wine). The stairs outside get very icy. There is a steep drop to the river right outside the sliding door. A bucket of sand to melt the ice would be helpful as someone could easily slip and potential fall down the cliff. The outdoor firepit was nice but also close to the cliff so careful steps were required.
Overall, a convenient place to stay close to the mountain and accommodates large groups.

Five of my friends and I stayed for a week in October. The living room is cozy, the kitchen is well appointed, the dining room has lots of seating and the view of the brook is very pleasing. Kristen was very helpful in getting the entry information early in the day due to my spotty cell reception.
Some of the bedrooms have a closet but no dresser, the room I used had a dresser but musty closet. One had a tv that works only for DVDs but was not hooked up to the player.
The instruction book asks for shoes to not be worn past the entry mudroom. This was ok, but I would have brought my slippers if I had known ahead of time. The coathooks in the mudroom and hallway are very handy.

We had a lovely time with a group of friends visiting the area over the summer. Great location and we enjoyed the grill and hot tub. Could have been cleaner. We were surprised to see a bear wandering around.

we were a family of 4 from New Jersey who love going to vermont and wanted to explore the area of killington this year after a long gap of staying home. The area was beautiful and scenic and we enjoyed our outings to nearby hikes and waterfalls.
The owner was very sweet and helpful and provided us with fans as early as she could due to the scorching heat.
However we had a lot of issues during our stay.
1. The house was not comfortable or clean . hygiene was a big factor. The condition of the couch and the carpets as well as the linen was extremely poor and below standards and were not usable at all. It was impossible to sit on the couches as they were extremely filthy and worn out .the carpet was full of maggots which we unfortunately carried back home in our clothes and baggage.the kitchen utensils and cutlery were in very poor condition and not usable at all.there was a very unpleasent odor in the entire house. Unfortunately all the kids that were with us got sick after this vacation which left a bad taste.sadly with the experience we had, we would not recommend this house for a vacation purpose as it really lacked in some very basic and important factors namely- hygiene, health, safety
2. one other very important issue we faced was one of the neighbors down the lane was extremely abusive and rude to the extent of sounding dangerous. He yelled at abused the kids while they were taking a stroll and walking the dog, He used extremely foul words and scared the kids and threatened them on more than one occasion. After which neither the kids not the adults dared to venture out.
This was our vacation after an extremely long period but the condition of the house and very poor maintaince and hygiene really put a dampner on our stay.

The house had all the necessities. It was very clean and the owner was easy to get in contact with. The location is superb as well which is 7 minutes to the bear lodge.

House was perfect for our group! The location is great for skiing and just hanging out by the stream! Would absolutely recommend and would stay again!

We stayed for a family gathering (10 total) and found the property to be adequate but nothing about it would lead us to rent again. We enjoy cooking and found the kitchen to be very basic with respect to the quality and scope of cooking tools (think old Walmart pots/pans etc.). The house is also immediately off a major highway, meaning we could not go for walks without driving to a more suitable location - perhaps not an issue for those just renting for proximity to skiing. There was a bad smell in one bathroom that I had to call the property manager to deal with. The response was very fast and friendly. A plumber was dispatched and repaired the tub and explained the problem. While the service was prompt and excellent, the matter should have been dealt with prior to our arrival.
