This was a great house for our two families! The 5 bedrooms each felt very private. Air hockey and pop a shot were a hit with the kids (and dads) and it was nice to have two tv areas. River view was nice too!

We very much enjoyed the property and it's private stairway to the babbling waters. We appreciated it's close proximity to everything we wanted to do, while still being very private. We were happy to have such a great space to have our family's first post covid reunion. And David and Kim were easy to communicate with and very accommodating.

A lovely getaway within walking distance of all Lake Placid has to offer! The property is clean and spacious, exactly as advertised. Kim, the property manager is a fantastic communicator, and I cannot recommend this rental enough!

Overall, had a nice stay - great backyard and lots of space for people. We had some trouble sleeping on the pretty firm beds and pillows that didn't suit our sleeping style. If possible, bring your own pillows. The backyard is completely wonderful and the host is responsive. Thanks!

A perfect fit for our group - felt tucked away but accessible for everything we desired. Appreciated the functional sturdiness of the furnishings - with two littles I didn’t have to worry. There was something for everyone!

This is our second time staying in the house, and we will definitely be back again for a 3rd! House is well stocked, clean, and convenient to walk to town. Lots of exploring down at the Brook for our kids. Recently upgraded amenities, and several new appliances. Great house for families or friends to share for a weekend or a week!

We were a ski group of 7 adults. The place had more than enough room for us and was quite well equipped (especially the kitchen). The games in the basement were an added fun! I don’t even think the futon couch (which probably folds down into a bed) was mentioned in the write-up. The location is good — quiet and only a 10-15 min walk to downtown. Very enjoyable!

The house was everything that was described and more. It is a beautiful, very clean house with plenty of room. The whole family enjoyed the game room. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook a meal. Great communication. Will definitely book again.

This house is great for multiple families to spend a vacation in lake placid. Plenty of room to sleep and has all items in kitchen and bathrooms. Easy drive or walk into downtown lake placid and short 15 min drive to the whiteface mountain. Overall would recommend.

92 Chickadee exceeded our expectations. Comfortable beds, high quality and variety of kitchen equipment, lovely back deck with view into a forest with a river. Large common spaces with ample seating for our group of 10 adults. Games room fun for any age. Scenic views from all windows. In a quiet treed neighborhood walking distance from downtown. Looking forward to next year’s trip !

Everyone in our group of ten people really enjoyed our stay. The house had everything we needed, and there were a number of pleasant surprises from a well-supplied kitchen to kids DVDs that entertained our little one. The game room was great, and both kids and adults had fun with the air hockey, basketball game, and dartboard. The bedrooms were all comfortable. The stream was beautiful and a peaceful place to escape when some of us needed a quiet moment. Location is very convient. The property manager, Kim, is wonderful. She responded in minutes to a couple questions that I asked, and was generally very friendly and helpful. I recommend the house wholeheartedly. The only reason I I gave 4 stas instead of 5 for accuracy of online listing is because the front of the house must have recently been painted a different color so it doesn't look the same as in the opening picture on VRBO. I was initially very worried that maybe we were at the wrong place, but all the rest was exactly as described.

One of the best rental properties I’ve ever stayed at. Check in was perfect (no need to exchange keys) the unit was perfectly cleaned upon entry. Management even advised me of some missing kitchen items and had a new set dropped off. House had a great open concept so never felt on top of each other. Two door garage on property was also great to store our golf clubs and out door bags. Thanks again

The location was perfect for all the activities planned for the weekend wedding we attended. We were able to walk to town and even to a pharmacy and supermarket. The house was well equipped and comfortable. We were 3 couples plus one single adult.

This location provides the ability to relax in privacy. Although the distance to mirror lake may be a half mile as the crow flies, it is a 20 minute walk to the lake swimming area.

Nice sized house in a beautiful setting

The house was lovely, well stocked, clean and a great size for a our group of nine. The kitchen was well stocked having everything we needed for a few family meals. We had a great movie night and game nights. The kids had great fun with the activities downstairs and playing in the creek. The water does attract bugs so bug spray is important. We also brought a could of electronic bug repellents which made the deck more enjoyable. That was the only complaint and not the owners fault. Overall we really enjoyed our stay.

We had a great time experiencing a lot of what Lake Placid offers. Since our group consisted of all ages 3-64, we needed to find activities we could do together. We hiked, biked, kayaked, played miniature golf and, of course shopped. Our house fit us perfectly as far as the bedrooms and the game room entertained us all.

Great house, perfect for 2 families with 5 kids. Plenty of space, all the amenities you could need. Only 15 min to Whiteface, 2 min to main st and 1 min to grocery store. We didn’t walk to town but it’s possible, especially if weather is good. The view out the back is a nice bonus. Would definitely stay again!

We had a large group to accommodate for our annual visit to Saranac's Winter Carnival. Everything we needed was provided. The house was very clean and in a nice location close to Lake Placid and Saranac. Dave was easy to communicate with and helpful.

We loved this house and would rent it again. It was clean, well-stocked, and had a great open kitchen/living/dining area. The lounge area in the walkout basement was also perfect so the kids could have their own space. The beds and bathrooms were as advertised.

Amazing property and super responsive hosts/owners/managers. We went up during a huge snowstorm; manager let us in a little early, made sure property was plowed and was really responsive. House was in a fantastic location, super clean, and (thoughtfully) had everything you could imagine (blowdryer, extra shampoo, extra pillows, every kitchen item imaginable, highchair, shovel, etc). Was really a great space and laid out well for families. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely rent again!

We had a wonderful time in Lake Placid this past MLK weekend, despite some VERY cold weather and impending heavy snow that made us leave a bit earlier than planned. Dave the property owner was very communicative and responsive and let us know everything we needed to know prior to our stay. Kim the property manager was very helpful and is a delight. The property was perfect for our needs. We were two couples, with our children ranging from 4-19 years old. Plenty of room for everyone, including some other friends of ours (couple, no children) who dropped by to stay for a night. Kids of all ages enjoyed the game room. Whiteface was an easy 17 minute drive for skiing. It is certainly walkable to downtown, although we chose to drive. The property was very well-stocked (linens, towels, cooking utensils, etc.), as Dave said it would be, and very clean (Kim prides herself on being meticulous). We look forward to staying again, and would certainly recommend.

What a great find. Had a a wedding in the Lake Placid area and needed a place that could accommodate all my siblings. Found this great home 3 minutes from all the festivities that we would be attending. Short walk from the awesome downtown area. Home was clean! Easy check in! Overall a great place😊

Dave and Kim were extremely responsive and flexible. They were very generous with their check in and out times, and the house was very clean. The house has a very at-home feel with the entertaining game room. I'll definitely look to stay here again in the future.
