About this house rental
4 BEDROOMS | 3.5 BATHROOMS | 8 GUESTS
* 30 Night Minimum Required
This is the reason Santa Barbara is named the “American Riviera.” This immaculate home is perfectly situated next to an expansive park on the Riviera hillside. You’ll also be nestled between the exclusive Upper Eastside and Riviera neighborhoods finding yourself a short walk away from Old Mission Santa Barbara, the Rose Garden, and the Museum of Natural History. Put on your comfy shoes and stroll down a bit farther to State Street for world-class dining, shopping, and wine tasting. Or do as the locals do and picnic in the Rose Garden as the sun sets.
This gorgeous tri-level home is built in a classic Mediterranean style featuring 4 Bedrooms and 3.5 Bathrooms. Natural wood beams with cathedral ceilings are showcased in the Family and Primary rooms. French doors open to the large tiled balcony, the third-floor terrace, and to the cool ocean breezes. Every room has been refurbished and enjoys modern amenities and tasteful renovations. Arguably the most beautiful element of this home are the private balconies overlooking downtown Santa Barbara, the Pacific Ocean, and the Channel Islands.

Loved staying here! House was per photos and as described, except there was no furniture on the outside balcony! This was a disappointment as we planned to spend a lot of time there. We were able to carry three chairs from the side of the house to the balcony but not the comfortable seating area shown. Otherwise a wonderful home with comfortable beds and great location! Would stay again!

A beautiful, charming home in a great location. All of the 1930s charm you want, along with modern updates, comfortable and tasteful furnishings, and enough room for a good sized group to spread out, indoors and out. I'd happily book this house again.

Property is gorgeous, with lots of 1940's charm. Location is quiet and convenient. Can accommodate multiple families with plenty of privacy for all guests. Kitchen is well equipped; living room is a beautiful gathering spot.

The property was a quintessential Spanish style home in the heart of Santa Barbara. It was the perfect size for our family of 8 including seniors, adults, and 2 toddlers. It provided just the right amount of privacy and shared space to socialize. Note that the property was three level so might be slightly difficult for anyone with mobility issues. Otherwise, it was a relaxing stay and close to everything we wanted to experience in Santa Barbara. Thank you very much!

We really enjoyed our stay at the paradise retreat. We had a couple unfortunate events take place such as a bed breaking the first night we arrived. Quickly repaired the next day.
Our last 2 days we were without hot water. Repair took longer this time and when I called back within 10 mins of repairman leaving, informing that water was only hot in kitchen we were told we would have someone out by 9 am the next day. We were leaving for the airport and had not showered in 2 days. I would somehow get hot water on an emergency list of items to be fixed anytime day or night. I was then told everyone was sorry and managers would decide on some form of compensation. However, when I texted about the compensation a few days after returning home to follow up I was told to write an email with my concerns. When everyone should have known what the concern was pertaining to no hot water. Great property and well appointed just disappointed in how some of the management issues were addressed.

We had a great stay at Villa Riviera and Santa Barbara. Pros: great location -- on a quiet street in a residential area but very close to everything in Santa Barbara as well as Gaviota. The views from the home are tremendous and there are many different spots where one can sit and relax or engage. The rooms were all inviting and well decorated. Most of the Paradise Retreat people we worked with were very responsive.
Things for improvement -- sleeping elements could be improved (pillows, sheets, etc); contacting Paradise Retreats over the holidays worked fine, however, responsiveness was a bit slower (not necessarily surprising, however, more challenging as we had issues that required more timely responses).
Overall, we would recommend staying here!

After 50 years at UCSB, we had a week long reunion at this property and it was perfect and exceeded our expectations. Home is classic Santa Barbara style with beautiful view and vibes..highly recommend.

We loved the character of the home. The bedroom/bathroom mix worked great for our group. The view from the balcony was beautiful. We would definitely stay again.

There were 7 of us that stayed, all immediate family for my brother’s wedding in Santa Barbara. The house could easily fit 10 people so it was very comfortable for the 7 of us. We enjoyed the big family room & dining room to all gather for watching movies, football & meals. I enjoyed coffee each morning on the deck over looking the ocean. The hot tub was a great night cap. The beds were all comfortable. There isn’t really a “master” bedroom as the 2 king bedrooms upstairs have to share a bathroom (which could be bigger & more updated), but it worked out fine.
The main level has 2 bedrooms with their own bathrooms plus a half bathroom. The main level was very comfortable to stay & we enjoyed it. The kitchen is small, not much counter space but it worked for cooking breakfast each morning & dinner 1 night for all.
The location is GREAT; very close to everything in Santa Barbara! We would totally stay here again.

This was the perfect place for my family to stay during a weekend trip to Santa Barbara. Quiet location on the hillside. Plenty of space and beautiful views. Definitely would stay here again!

Beautiful House, & great property team. Very responsive, accommodating, & friendly. The property is well situated and a short Uber to state street. We would stay there again. My only suggestion would be to have lighted magnified makeup mirrors in every bathroom for those of us who’s eyesight is not what it used to be! Thank you!

Well, Santa Barbara is just about the most beautiful place I've ever been and the house was just fantastic.

We are 4 "senior" women who came to SB from
Connecticut for the weather, the scenery, golf and the ambiance. The house is absolutely charming and very comfortable. We only used the hot tub once but it was the perfect temperature. The only complaint we have is that there needs to be more lighting, inside and out, particularly at the lower end of the driveway. It was already dark when we arrived and it took a little time and a phone call to figure out where the lock box was. Otherwise we couldn't have been happier and definitely would rent again.

Great location & views
This house lives larger than it is. The layout was perfect for our family gathering while visiting from the east coast. We really appreciated the comfortable furniture and beds, also having 3.5 bathrooms for our group. The hot tub was fun, and the laundry was super-convenient. The balcony served as a perfect location for viewing 4th of July fireworks, as well as everyday gathering. Also loved the neighborhood. It is just a short walk to the Mission.
Clean and comfortable!

Great Space
This is a wonderful location with a beautiful view. The kitchen has all the amenities making it easy for cooking. The beds are comfortable, and having so many bathrooms makes getting ready easy as well. It was clean, had puzzles and books, information about local activities, and the bottle of Santa Barbara chardonnay was a nice touch, and delicious. I would definitely recommend this home for a vacation in Santa Barbara.

Gorgeous and comfortable
This was a gorgeous property with everything we needed for a group of 6 friends. Everyone had room and the home was well stocked with kitchen essentials. The neighborhood and location are beautiful and the views of the water were spectacular. We didn't realize until we checked in that there was no A/C, which was only a problem the first day when temperatures were over 80, but the house did cool down quite nicely on the days the temperatures stayed below that.

Cozy vacation getaway with family
Three-level house with great gathering places for six people around the dining table or in the living room, and enough space for each couple/family to have their own rooms and areas. Comfortable beds.

Nice place but choppy rooms and no master bath - shared with another. Neighborhood is mixed and sometimes noisy. Tv did not work and they could not fix. Coffee table too far from sofas and no table outside. Kitchen is very small and almost no counter space - great stove.
Otherwise good and responsive mgmt

Wonderful stay in Santa Barbara
We stayed for 5 nights in this beautiful house in Santa Barbara. The house is conveniently located in a residential neighborhood far enough from traffic yet close enough to everywhere you'd care to visit. The beautiful Mission is a leisurely 15 minute stroll away. Downtown and the coast are within a 10-15 minute drive. The house itself is beautifully decorated and cozy, with nice views from both the main floor balcony and one of the top floor bedrooms. The remaining three bedrooms all face an open park area in the back, with minimal foot and vehicle traffic.
If I have to nitpick, I'd list a few minor details:
- The driveway is quite steep and somewhat winding. Beware if you have a low car. No problem for SUVs.
- The neighborhood is tranquil but hilly. Also the house has a lot of stairs. Both may be an issue for those with mobility concerns.
- The dining room lights are a bit dim. Perhaps we just didn't find the right light controls.
The management company, Paradise Retreats, is very responsive, and addressed a minor problem very quickly.
I will definitely consider staying at this house again on our next visit to Santa Barbara.

Lovely Santa Barbara hillside getaway
This well kept property is stocked with all the essentials for a fun week in Santa Barbara. Our family of five stayed here for five nights and had no complaints. Lovely location on the hillside and only a short drive to downtown and the beach. Good to note that the two bedrooms with attached bathrooms are on the 2nd floor. The two master bedrooms on the 3rd floor share a bathroom (which worked for us). Would stay here again.

Beautiful home in great location
This is a beautiful and comfortable home in a great Santa Barbara location. We would absolutely stay there again! Has every comfort you need and is immaculately clean. Most of home updated and modern. Amazing views from balcony. We loved our time there! Would suggest to ask to see if Wifi extender has been added to lower level office area (no Wifi reception in the "office" there) and if upstairs bathroom's peeling paint has been redone.

Beautiful property w/amazing views
The home had everything you needed from top to bottom. sonos surround sound, tv's in almost every room, a balcony with majestic views that will take your breathe away. The only issue was the heater outside would not kick on but ultimately wasn't that big of a deal. We loved the home and will definitley be staying again. The location was perfect right next to a park and close to the mission and trails. Thank you for sharing your home with us.

Immediately felt at home in this gorgeous, comfortable house. Every detail has been thought-out and well-executed. The kitchen area is older with a bit of updating, but still worked great as a cook’s kitchen. When we realized we needed a few things, Enrique from property management came out and was super nice to deal with. The outdoor spaces are excellent - we spent a lot of time on the sun deck lounging on the comfy furniture. The grill worked easily. My husband loved working from the dining room table and the lower level was a great office for our college student. Neighborhood location is excellent for walking and super close to downtown without being on top of it. We will be back!

Wonderful home on the hills of Santa Barbara
We had a great stay here with a group of 6 friends. The house was very comfortable for all of us. It is about a 5 minute drive from downtown, which if far enough to be quiet but not too far to be inaccessible.

Amazing and Comfortable
Right from the beginning we were able to relax and feel comfortable in the home. We enjoyed amazing views of the water and city throughout the day and especially enjoyed the sunsets and sunrises from the outdoor patio. We had everything we needed to grill a steak dinner on the second outdoor space along with a relaxing soak in the hot tub. The neighborhood is quiet and allowed for restful sleep in a comfortable bed. The home is a true gem and we are very thankful to have been able to stay at Riviera.
