Rent this 1 Bedroom 1 Bath Dunnellon Seasonal Waterfront Rental in Tranquil Old Florida. The Birdhouse is located in Dunnellon Florida on the scenic Withlacoochee River. The entire house is a 720 sq foot open space, newly renovated interior with a queen-sized bed in the bedroom, a huge porch with screen to keep the bugs out, completely renovated kitchen with microwave and all the little amenities, smartTV in the living room area; fully air-conditioned WiFi and nest doorbell.
From the dock you can see the confluence of the Rainbow and Withlacoochee Rivers. The Dunnellon Birdhouse location is 15 minutes from Ocala Fl and Crystal River Fl. There's loadz of free space at the back for boat parking.

The Birdhouse is ideal for fishing or boating because you will have quick access to the Rainbow River, Withlacoochee River and Lake Rousseau without launching your boat. Fishing from the private dock has proven effective for guests with nice catches of Bass and Catfish. Remember Relaxing in the hammock is always an option after kayaking cycling or sightseeing

Dana’s place has everything you could need and he was a very kind host. We absolutely loved it and will definitely stay here again. Cozy, clean, huge backyard that our pup loved. Canoe and kayaks, grill, rocking chairs on a screened in porch- what more can you ask for? A very peaceful getaway that was much needed! Highly recommend

Truly magical, we will absolutely be back next year. Dana is an incredible host. He thought of every little detail from the bread and jam cold waters in the refrigerator when we arrived passes to KP and rainbow park completely fenced yard so I had no worries for my dogs. Just absolutely beautiful so private and peaceful you must sit on the back porch and watch the birds. I know it sounds silly, but this has been probably the most relaxing getaway that we have had in years thank you Dana for sharing your little piece of paradise with us.

We needed a little quiet getaway, the home is cozy and clean. What we loved the most was simply sitting on the dock and relaxing, the porch was also fantastic, birds were always coming by to eat from the feeders. Lovely grounds, just a nice experience. We will make this a regular escape whenever we need to unwind and get back with nature.

The Birdhouse was the perfect escape. Wonderful river front house with fishing pier. My favorite spot to be was on the scrrened front porch, in a rocking chair overlooking the river. Host was awesome!

We loved everything about this cabin and property. The view is spectacular. Perfect screened porch for enjoying coffee and a book. Kayaks and canoe provided. The dogs loved the big yard and dock. Can’t say enough good things about this place. ❤️

We love staying at the Birdhouse! Dana is an excellent host, providing a gift on arrival as well as charcoal for the grill. We enjoyed using the canoe one morning and rocking on the front porch is always enjoyable! The bed is very comfortable and we slept well.

This is my second time staying at the Birdnest. It is a wonderful, peaceful retreat on the river. Everything is as described, very clean, lots of thoughtful touches, and great communication from the owner. I loved that dogs are welcome. The yard is secure with enough space to chase a ball and run around for your pups. there was a very thoughtful welcome. Basket was not only goodies for me but a small toy for my dog. The perfect place to sit and watch the river or go out and get on the river so many options!

The Birdhouse is a lovely, peaceful escape. It’s everything you’d want: private, quiet, clean, with a beautiful view of the river. Our Pugs enjoyed roaming the huge backyard. We enjoyed watching the boats on the river and especially listening to the sounds of the night on the river. Dana is a terrific host. We felt welcome right from the start and look forward to coming again.

The bird house is the PERSON place to relax and unwind with your pups. Paddle the Rainbow or Withalacooche and then catch sunset from the screened porch, dock or hammock! Dana, the owner, is great and very welcoming. Would lo stay here again and again!

We really enjoyed our stay at this property. The view is lovely and the setting very peaceful. Lots of bird calls and had a barn owl in the yard one day. Dana goes above and beyond as far as communication. We wanted to fish off the dock but it was weedy, so he and a friend came by boat to try to clear it out. So nice! We enjoyed using Dana’s kayaks to kayak the Rainbow River. Made a stop at Swampy’s and then floated back. Good nearby bike trails too. Also loved the screened-in porch! If you are looking for a quiet setting with room for animals, this is the place!

There are so many wonderful things to say about the bird house--the stellar hospitality of the host, the cleanliness of the property, the convenience to attractions and restaurants; however, the view from the screen porch is simply unbeatable. Even on a chilly December day, we were able to sit on the screen porch and enjoy the river view. The pictures on VRBO don't even do the view justice. The Bird House is so peaceful--the perfect spit to unwind. The yard is fenced and immaculate. When one enters the property, the foliage gave us a sense of an exotic resort and the feeling of privacy, yet we were close to all the things we wanted to see and do. My husband caught a bass right off the dock! The Blue gator is about 7 minutes away; one can rent boats there as well. Many thanks to Dana abd Pam for allowing us to get some much needed rest at this lovely, tranquil home. The hosts are awesome! We have been visiting this area for years, but this is my favorite home where we have stayed. We will absolutely be back to this little piece of heaven! Deborah and Ben

This is a beautiful home on the river. Everything was exactly as pictured. Everything was well stocked. The house was clean and well decorated. We especially enjoyed the porch and the dock. We would recommend it to any couple wanting to get away from it all.

The Bird House....... I could go on and on about how amazing this place is and how wonderful the owners are. We have been renting here for 14 years, my kids have grown up coming to this cabin, I got engaged here and I just got married here! The property is beautiful and well taken care of, it has everything you need and more. The Birdhouse isnt the only wonderful thing, the owners are exceptional, they make you feel like part of the family, very accommodating, just amazing people. We cannot wait to come back !

Beautiful, tranquil, and all the comforts of home. This was our second stay at Dunnellon Birdhouse and we will definitely be back! Amazing hosts, and so much to do if you're a nature lover like we are. We loved shopping at the Vintage Veteran, renting a boat from Angler's Resort/Blue Gator, dinner with a spectacular view at Stumpknockers on the River, and the most delicious breakfast at Breakfast Station. Highly recommend the Birdhouse, its charm can't be topped.

The Bird House is peaceful and provides lots of opportunity to be close to nature on the river. The yard is landscaped beautifully and I enjoyed the views from the large front porch. The house was clean and cozy and it was easy to catch some R&R. Everything was fantastic and I look forward to booking again in the future.

The property is beautiful - the view is amazing. This was a great place to spend a weekend outside sitting on the porch or dock and grilling out. The yard is totally fenced in, so our two big dogs could spend time outside off-leash. The host is super accommodating and very friendly. Thanks!!!

This location has been our best vacation ever. It is low key, relaxing, very clean and like our second home. We were provided with everything we needed to stay for the week. We absolutely loved the fresh bread, jam and i know our dog will love her new toy. Thank you so mich for a friendly welcome, a fun meet and greet and an absolutely wonderful week spent getting back to nature and all its wonders. We will be back again for sure!

What a great place to stay. The owners are super nice, and easy to contact. The whole property is such a peaceful experience! Our dogs had the best time there too! We were able to launch our kayak off the shore and it was a quick trip to the rainbow river! We will definitely be back!

Tranquil and relaxing...the backyard along with the ever changing scenery of the river were amazing. This was the best therapy straight from mother nature. The owners, Dana and Pam, were genuinely wonderful people and most accommodating. This is a must do!
