Conveniently located in the heart of Aix, sits this beautiful, spacious apartment furnished with comfortable French antiques and bedding. Well equipped kitchen which allowed for some lovely home cooked meals with fresh farmer’s produce selected from the colourful market just a short stroll away.
Great shops & restaurants in the immediate area including a lively flea market on Cours Mirabeau all within walking distance.
Had a most memorable stay.

I traveled to Aix with my two adult nieces and 11 year old grand- niece. We all love old buildings and aesthetically pleasing decor, and this apartment far exceeded our expectations. It is located in a wonderful old building in the old town. The decor was exquisite and the apartment smelled of lavender. The views out the window were utterly charming. The kitchen was well equipped, and as my nieces are vegan, we ate several meals in.There is a winding staircase to get to the apartment, but it wasn’t a problem for us. The only down-side was that the apartment only has one bathroom, so I let my family have the apartment and found another room nearby for myself that wasn’t nearly as nice. However, if I do return to Aix, the “perfect gem” is the place I’ll book!

This beautifully decorated and comfortable apartment was in the absolute best location in Aix.
We could walk around the old part of the city all day and easily come back to rest whenever we wanted.
The parking was also convenient and we took several day trips during our stay.
The apartment was quiet with the windows closed and had everything we needed for our stay.
Loved it!!

The apartment was very well decorated and took you back in time! It was tastefully done and had all the modern conveniences of home. The views from the windows were beautiful. You were close to a lot of fountains and squares and history. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay and would recommend to all.

My husband and I and my brother and his wife enjoyed our stay in this beautiful apartment in June. The apartment is very well equipped and has excellent air conditioning which we were very grateful for with the latest high temperatures. Kris was very helpful when we arrived giving us all the information needed to enjoy our stay. We loved the daily market just a block away. We also so visited Lourmarin on the local bus and Marseille another day. We left with very many happy memories of Aix and Kris and Thierry's lovely apartment.

Perfect location to enjoy the region. Apartment had everything we needed. Kristen and Thierry had made sure it was like staying in your own home. Amazing small restaurants that were all in walking distance.

Every need provided for in elegant comfortable French style, close to delightful neighborhood stores, cafes and markets, and 15 minute walk to Cours Mirabeau. Great welcome book with suggestions for your stay. Lovely coffee table books in English, plus a bookshelf of English books. One of my best stays in France.

Our 7day stay in Aix-en- Provence staying at Kristine & Thierry beautiful abode met all our expectations.
Within minutes of arriving, we felt as though we were privy to the knowledge of the locals, due to fantastic information left at the apartment by the owners, and were out sipping rose and eating at a delightful and very yummy recommended local bistro just footsteps away.
The apartment was well situated for local markets and roaming about the old town.
Would def recommended a stay and would reconsider staying again if ever in Aix.
Thank you for sharing your wonderful space.

We stayed for about two weeks mid-November to visit our daughter who was studying in Aix and the apartment was perfect!
PROS:
- Excellent location to everything in the Centre Ville: daily street markets, a Monop', cafes, restaurants, patisseries, boulangeries...
- Safe location and secure building
- Quiet, warm and perfectly appointed apartment
- Parking available at a nearby garage (for a nominal fee) AND super easy exit from the garage to the Aix périphérique for trips to nearby towns and Marseille
- AMAZING hosts! Kristine and Thierry are pros - they were available when we had questions and checked in with us several times during our stay to make sure things were ok and offered great recommendations.
CON: You'll have go home at some point....
Some places we liked near the apartment: Tonkin Food (200 ft away, great Vietnamese take-out), Le Countrepoint for burgers, Licandro Le Bistro, Maison Weibel for "correct" pastries, FarinomanFou for bread, Fromagerie Savelli for cheese and
Brûlerie Richelme for coffee.
Nearby towns to visit: Cassis and its calanques, Marseille and nearby calanques, Rousillion, Gordes, L'ile sur la Sourge (Sunday market), Avignon, Ménerbes, Lourmarin (Friday market), Moustiers-Saint-Marie and nearby lake, Sisteron, Saint-Rémy-de-Provence, Eygalières...so many more...
Merci beaucoup Kristine et Thierry, j'espère que nos chemins se croisent encore. xo

From the initial written contact, to being helped with our luggage on arrival and departure, and our welcoming plate of Aix specialities and Provencal rose, our hosts kristine and Thierry could not have been more helpful or charming. They even checked to see if we were ok when a neighbor mentioned he hadn’t heard any noise from the apartment.
The apartment was beautifully decorated by Kristine who has a professional eye for art and antiques and has created a gorgeous “shabby chic” environment. It was well stocked with everything we could need for our ten day stay, though we ate out often, checking out Kristine’s recommendations for restaurants and cafes. Location could not be better, It is ideally located near the edge of the historic centre and in short walking distance of restaurants, bars, galleries, fabulous shops and the famous Cours Mirabeau.
We had a caterer and boulangerie beneath us, and several restaurants on the same street. On Kristine’s suggestion we ate breakfast out a couple of times, so we could people watch at a morning market. Also, on her suggestion, we visited the 18th century Caumont Museum for a fabulous lunch and an exhibition of art by Nicolas de Stael.
On a visit to the Cathedral we were lucky enough to be able to hear the wonderful organ being played during a wedding ceremony. We were also close enough to the Post Office to be able to carry our rather large parcels of purchased goodies, some from the Cours Mirabeau market, to be mailed back home. From the Tourism Bureau on Cours Mirabeau we were able to book a trip to the Camargue, and a second one to five small, very old villages of the Luberon wine country. I can confidently recommend both tours.
I cannot recommend this apartment, and its hosts, more highly. Despite my age and dodgy knee, I would very willingly climb that beautiful spiral staircase if I ever got another chance to visit the wonderful Aix-en-Provence, city of squares and fountains, cobblestone laneways and beautiful old buildings.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Wonderful hospitality in a beautiful French decor and stunning surroundings. The property is beautifully presented and superbly equipped with everything you could possibly need and a few luxury extras. Kristine provided terrific guidance for the best local markets, eateries and attractions. I couldn't recommend this more.

The apartment is as pictured, very clean with all the modern conveniences. It is ideally located for restaurants, bistros, patisseries, farmers' markets and shopping. Kristine greeted us with some local treats and was very helpful with recommendations for excursions and restaurants. I couldn't have asked for a better Provencal experience! I have already recommended this property to friends who want to visit Aix next year,

Our family of 3 spent a week at the apartment. It was very clean, comfortable and beautifully decorated. The location was great - walking distance to restaurants and the historic center of town. We had a car and Kristine arranged for parking. The garage was a short walk from the apartment and very convenient. We ate most meals out, but the kitchen was well equipped and it would be easy to cook if one wanted to do so. Kristine was a wonderful host. We arrived on Easter and she met us at the apartment to check in. She provided lots of information about restaurants and things to do in Aix and the surrounding area. When our flight to Paris was cancelled due to a strike, she helped us find alternatives to get to Paris for our flight back to the US. She made the entire rental process very easy. If we return to Aix, we will be sure to rent from her again. Overall it was a great week!

Aix is a pedestrian town and this is the perfect location to walk to all the city has. The daily fresh market is less than 100 yards away and makes for great produce shopping and people watching. Hundreds of restaurants are within a few short minutes walk. If you like shopping, Aix marks the spot and the apartment's location is ideal.

My husband and I stayed at Kristine and Thierry's for two weeks and had a fantastic time. The apartment is really very comfortable and lovely. Perfectly appointed, it is decorated with beautiful antiques without feeling stuffy. The rooms throughout the day are bathed in natural light and in the late afternoon we enjoyed opening the large living room windows to hear the swallows and fountain below. The beds are comfortable and we slept well. Many nights we utilized the kitchen and cooked indoors. The AC worked really well so having the oven or stove on on a hot day was no problem at all. Other points to note: The internet was fast and the washer and dryer was a really big bonus as it allowed us to pack lightly. The location is really perfect. Below is a great little Italian market and the apartment is walkable to everything. We went to the market most days to pick up fresh fruits and vegetables and also walked to get bread at Farinoman (incredible bread choices) often. Kristine and Thierry left a big woven basket to help carry market purchases that we found very useful! We had rented a car so we also rented the parking space which was so helpful. The garage is about two blocks from the apartment and easy to get to. When we arrived Kristine met us at the apartment and not only had she chilled wine and aperitifs waiting for us but she provided a ton of useful tips and information about Aix and the surrounding area. We followed many of her suggestions and found them all great. We would 100% stay here again and would recommend the apartment to anyone. I do not think you would be able to find a nicer, more charming and more conveniently located spot in Aix.We hope to stay again next year!

My husband and I stayed here for a week in late September 2016. From the moment we arrived until the day we left we had the most enjoyable time. The apartment is beautiful and perfectly located in the old town of Aix en Provence. The owners met us when we arrived and pointed out all the features of the apartment and made sure we had all the information regarding the apartment and the surrounding area. It is within walking distance to all the sites in Aix. The apartment was clean and had all the things one would need. It was so fun to walk to the markets in the morning and then return home and cook dinner. It was an idilic vacation and we have many amazing memories of our week. We will definitely be returning. Thank you Kristine and Thierry for sharing this lovely home with us!

PERFECT---The apartment was lovely, close to everything. Kristine was out of the country but kept in contact with us the entire time. Thierry helped us when we had questions, we saw him daily. Also helped with carrying the suitcases (especially when we left each of us had to purchase an extra piece of luggage for all our goodies. YIKES!!!!!!)
Some of the reviews mentioned the stairs. Well, we were 4 girls in our 50's and early 60's and one Smoker. The stairs were never a problem. Gage yourselves, the door to the apt on the first level, the urn then only 4 more steps.
We did not have a car, but Kristine told us when the different markets were and we took the bus to Lourmarin (great Friday market). The bus stop was right around the corner only 2 euro. There is a nice equestrian shop a little out of town. We took a cab there.
Kristine mentioned that is was spring break but we never heard the young people. Could have been the great wine and food from previous night.
We can not wait to return, hoping for a Fall visit.
Thank you for a great time in your beautiful city.

We just got back from a wonderful month at La Maison Nonna! Not only was the apartment beautiful and comfortable, it was fully equiped. There was never a time were we needed a thing. The beds and linens were perfect as was all the furnishings. We traveled around the South of France (wine country, beaches, Paris) and were very happy to come back to this lovely apartment. It was the absolute perfect location, right in the middle of Aix, close to all the markets and shopping. We never felt unsafe. We also had a car for 2 of the weeks and the garage is very convenient.
Thierry and Kristine were the perfect owners, they had great suggestions (restaurants, day trips, museums) and treated us like we were their guests and friends. They really care about your visit to Aix. I highly recommend this apartment and would love to rent this apartment again!

My husband and I spent 1 week of our honeymoon in La Maison Nonna and absolutely loved it. The flat is comfortable, beautiful and spacious, and ideally located in the old city center of Aix. We used the flat as our base and did small trips almost daily to several of the nearby towns. Having access to the parking garage around the corner was very handy. Kristine was an excellent host and provided many specific recommendations on restaurants, tourist sites, etc, and all of the ones we tried were all wonderful. She also speaks perfect English, which was a bonus since we (embarrassingly) speak very little French. We took day trips to Avignon, Gare du Nord, Cassis, Mont St Victoria and a couple other small towns, mainly for sight-seeing and hiking, and our longest drive was around 90min. The kitchen is well supplied, which was particularly nice as we enjoyed taking advantage of the weekend markets and cooking for ourselves at least one meal each day. I have already raved about Nonna to our family and friends, and would strongly recommend it to anyone traveling in the area.

I was fortunate to spend 4 weeks in La Maison de Nonna. The apartment is just lovely, beautifully decorated and accented by antiques, collectibles and books, as shown in the photos. There are 8 windows, a luxury for natural lighting and cross breezes, and double-paned for quiet. The beds and linens were comfortable and high grade. Top end appliances made cooking, cleaning and washing clothing very easy in the well-equipped kitchen. House equipment even included many seasonings and basic kitchen needs plus grocery totes and umbrellas. The location is ideal, giving access to all of the old city quickly, while just a short distance from the newer area with parking and busses. The secretary is filled with maps, brochures and touring books for all of Provence and some of Cote D'Azur - you needn't bring any. You will also find lists of restaurants and places to enjoy, such as Le Bistrot and L'Incontornable. Kristine gave us a detailed city-by-city itinerary for our week of car touring which fulfilled my goal of experiencing much of Provence. Additionally, she directed us to inexpensive local busses to see cities we missed or wanted to return to. She and Thierry treated us as guests, not clients... thank you for being so welcoming and charming. I felt at home in your apartment and hope to return again and continue my Aix exploration, cultural immersion and painting. Merci beaucoup.
Just a note for American visitors... 2nd floor in France is actually what we call 3rd, so expect about 40 steps, with a sturdy handrail up to the apartment. And, as in many lovely homes, you are requested to leave your shoes at the door, so bring slippers to lounge in. October was a perfect time to be there, fewer crowds, pleasant daytime temps, cool enough for a jacket at night.

To celebrate his university graduation, my son and I spent three weeks in this lovely apartment right in the heart of this beautiful city. La Maison de Nonna has been fully and carefully restored with great attention to detail, providing all the modern comforts, including powerful air conditioning, plentiful hot water, and a well equipped kitchen. Kristine has decorated the apartment with equal care. As the photos attest, it is beautifully furnished with some lovely pieces that are also comfortable. Both bedrooms are outfitted with quality mattresses and crisp bed linens. The day bed in the living room is a perfect spot for sipping rose and diving into a good novel. If you prefer, pull a chair up to the full height French doors in the living room overlooking the tiny square below and watch the world go by! It is a cool, heavenly retreat.
La Maison de Nonna is mere feet from a glorious, daily produce market and some of the city's best restaurants. Parking, just a block away, is a bit expensive, and while not necessary, a car does make day journeys easier. In less than two hours, one can visit the ocean, the mountains or the vineyards.
Kristine and Thierry are wonderful landlords. They checked in with us regularly to make sure that everything was working properly and to offer assistance. But they were never intrusive. My only regret is that we did not have the chance to get to know them better!

We just recently returned from a wonderful weeklong stay at La Maison de Nonna. The apartment is even more lovely in person than the pictures convey. It is obvious that Kristine and Thierry paid a lot of attention to detail when renovating and furnishing this beautiful home. The location within the city center is ideal. The apartment is not only exquisitely furnished but is a very comfortable place to return after exploring the city of Aix. It has all of the comforts and conveniences of home, including a dishwasher, washer and dryer. Upon arrival, we were warmly greeted by Thierry who showed us the impeccably clean apartment. A nice treat and bottle of wine were awaiting us in the charming kitchen. Kristine introduced herself the next day and provided us with great dining and shopping tips. We also rented a car during our stay and took advantage of the very conveniently located parking garage. We would highly recommend this property to anyone who is traveling to AIx. It far exceeded our expectations, and we would return without hesitation. We cannot think of anything that could have made our stay more enjoyable. Beautiful and comfortable accommodations, great location, extremely welcoming and helpful hosts. We were all a bit sad when our vacation ended and we had to leave our lovely home away from home. La Maison de Nonna is truly magnifique!

So we selected Aix as a quiet country town in Provence, and we wanted a nice apartment that was close to the "action" (as much as there is in Aix), yet had a little distance from the touristic areas, and we were not disappointed! The location is fantastic; an easy walk to the farmer's market, lots of pastry shops, little restaurants (fresh crepes- yum!), and a 10 minute walk or so to the main drag. We also walked to the Hertz rental car location, where we rented a car to get to Cassis (Calanques), Lavender fields, and ultimately to Nice to catch a train to Italy... Some of our best meals were sitting in the kitchen of the apartment, eating fresh fruits and cheeses from the market-- wonderful town and wonderful apartment. Thierry was super-cool and helpful (and has a nice sense of humor!). BTW, their parking is for the week. If you only have a car for a couple of days, you can park in a cheaper lot because you are only paying day by day. If you are going to Aix, this is the place!

This apartment is beautifully appointed and comfortable. The location is ideal for exploring Aix and Provence.

From my very first enquiry to Kristine, she made every step so easy and enjoyable. What fantastic hosts Kristine and Thierry were for our two week stay in Aix. Meeting Kristine was like catching up with an old friend. She was more than willing to offer fantastic suggestions for restaurants and sights to visit including on how to get to them. The apartment is absolutely stunning and definitely the most beautiful apartment we stayed in over our 9 weeks in Europe. Kristine decorative style is impeccable and it was lovely to be surrounded by such exquisite furniture and antiques. The apartment is extremely roomy and filled with sunshine and light. The french windows are stunning and capture beautiful breezes on a hot day. However the apartment was also air-conditioned if needed. The apartment is ideally located in Aix, right next to a boulangerie, markets, restaurants, cafes and the famous Cours Mirrabeau. Aix is an absolutely lovely town, especially the old town as well as centrally located for day trips around the region. If your travel takes you to Aix I thoroughly recommend staying in this stunning accommodation.
