The location and cleanliness were excellent. We received wonderful information about the area from the staff.

Very nice , clean , modern and private two bedroom. Just a short drive into town . You can see the lake from the deck. Nice neighborhood. Enjoyed my stay and meeting the nice neighbors.
I would have liked if there was outdoor furniture to enjoy outdoor dining.

We had a wonderful stay at the Canyons. Rooms were thoughtfully kitted out with everything we needed, including a comfy travel cot for our baby. We had a fridge with treats in our room and also access to a microwave. It’s only a few minutes out of Queenstown and well worth it for the setting. I loved my early morning Jacuzzi with a view!

Location, view and cute house.
Needed some fans/cooling. House was a bit warm from sun all day.

The holiday home is close to all attractions, it has a spacious deck to enjoy the view.
Staff acted arrogantly, they charged us $35 per night so called ‘child tariff’ for our 8-year old child, which hadn’t ever been mentioned anywhere in reservation, they claimed making it clearly in bold letters in booking confirmation, but that’s not true at all. They claimed that they don’t know why the children policy on Booking.com states as “all children welcome, children over 18 years old are considered as adult”.
There’re hand and body wash in the room but no shampoo, when asked they replied that it’s their policy not to provide shampoo.
The holiday house doesn’t have any fly screen, so you either keep all windows and doors shut or stay sleepless with all kinds of insects.

Clean, modern and good kitchen...everything we needed. Beautiful views...great deck.
One of the sofas needs replacing or repairing. No lockup for bikes.

Convenient location. Reasonably sized house, adequately equipped kitchen. Clean house.
This house is SUPER hot from mid morning, becomes an OVEN by the afternoon and the unbearable heat is retained until 4am the next morning. I could hardly sleep in the heat over the three night stay. The only cooling device in the house is one weak pedestal fan. It was not practical to keep windows open after dark as without flyscreens, a large number of insects swarmed into the house. The house also only has proper curtains for the French windows in the main bedroom and the lounge room. The other large windows in the living space and the smaller windows in the bedrooms have only thin mesh blinds (inadequate for keeping the sun out during the day and inadequate for privacy after dark), the top windows in the living space has NO window shade at all. As a result, the street light shines right into the main bedroom and the early morning sun glares directly into the main bedroom. Therefore we had to choose between trying to sleep with the door open to allow a little bit of air circulation to ease the heat as much as we could, or sleep with the door closed to actually get some darkness. I had minimal sleep over three nights…

Beautiful location nice and spacious cottage that was clean and tidy. Bed was comfortable. Sliding doors to give you stunning vies and use of verandah/balcony area. Good parking right outside. Very nicely decorated, plenty if useful furniture chairs, stools, tables and sofas.
Log fire available for colder times of the year, being 29 degrees, we didn't need it. Has washing machine and a little airer. Clothes dried overnight it was so warm.
We were able to hire bikes from just down the road and do quite a bit of cycling along the lake and early morning paddleboarding which was serene! Just beautiful.
Needs an aircon unit, if you open the doors and windows to let the cooler night air in you get a lot of mosquitoes in and consequently bitten, despite the insect repellant and window blinds!
It does get very warm in the hideaway in summer as it is painted black so absorbs a lot of heat. Ideal place to put photovoltaic panels on roof, cool the house down and get free electric.

Good location, beautiful view, clean.

The Hideaway was in a good location with good views of the lake and mountains.
Very limited space for hanging anything, no hangers. Found the property management a little off putting with their warnings of penalties if their rules were not followed.

This is an amazing spot to stay in Tekapo. You have a lake view that is worthwhile spending money for, it is close enough to the main town that you can walk but Tekapo town has a lot of development going on and a lot of the main street is dedicated to ugly shops or hotels so it's nice to not be able to see any of that. Also in Tekapo, sometimes you pay a lot of money for pretty below par accommodation based on it's proximity to the lake front (which often isn't that nice). This is far better value for money and is a whole unit with two bedrooms, bathroom, kitchen and lounge. A glass of wine in the afternoon is a must as the lake colour is brightest when the sun is high in the sky.

The unit was lovely modern, clean, comfortable and spacious with 2 bedrooms. The bed was very comfortable. The view from the patio of the lake and mountains was stunning.
Not all the windows has blinds which let the light in from the street at night. There was no soap holder in the shower

Fabulous outlook towards the lake and the property was decorated beautifully inside. The fire was lovely being lit on the cold nights.
Would prefer curtains on all the windows in both bedrooms. There were only curtains on the master bedroom sliding door. The mesh roller blinds do not stop people seeing inside when the lights are on at night so wasnt very private. Only 1 coat hanger available.
