House is wonderful and as described. Quaint, walkable neighborhood. Approximately 15 minute drive to Balboa Park, Zoo, Coronado, and ~25 ish to La Jolla. Check in and out easy. Parking on street and sometimes unavailable right in front of property but still reasonable distance. Definitely would recommend!

This home will quickly feel like your home away from home. It had everything from towels for the beach to a full size laundry room. The beds were very comfortable and the home was very clean and organized. I highly recommend coffee on the back porch that boasts beautiful fruit trees and the sounds of the neighborhood near by. The location is everything you could hope for: 7 minutes from the airport but 10 minutes from all the hustle and bustle of the fun local spots in the city. The location is so perfect. Coming all the way from Texas we were a little worried about missing all the comforts of home…. We never missed a thing! Thank you for a beautiful stay.

My husband, 2 sisters and our pup had a lovely stay at this property. Perfect location for Mission Hills restaurants & shops. Very close to Wolf in the Woods, one of our favorites. Very well maintained house.

My 93 yr old father passed away last month… the service was on the 28th ad we gathered at the house afterwards…. It was exactly what we hoped for…
The caterers had plenty of room to spread out trays and the 20 guests had plenty of room to mill around and visit…
I’m keeping this place in our library of VRBO stars!

My family and I had an amazing stay at this Mission Hills Bungalow, booked very last minute. The hosts were incredibly accommodating, making the whole process seamless and stress-free. The location was absolutely perfect, especially since my nephew was running his first marathon. It was a short walk to the 12-mile mark, which made it easy for us to cheer him on.
The house itself was beautiful and charming, with every detail thoughtfully considered. It was well-stocked with toiletries, making our stay feel like home. We couldn't have asked for a better experience and would highly recommend this bungalow to anyone looking for a cozy, convenient place to stay in Mission Hills. Thank you for a wonderful visit!

We stayed for 3 nights and very much enjoyed both the home and the Mission Hills neighborhood. Many lovely CA and Craftsman bungalows, great home landscaping, easy access to coffee shops and restaurants. Would definitely stay again.

We traveled to San Diego to spend time with our son who lives there. We were only able to be in San Diego for the weekend and the house was perfect for us and our son to spend quality time together together! Whether it’s for a long weekend or for a month, this place has everything you could possibly need!
Our host was great. Guest expectations were minimal, reasonable and clear.
She offered to bring ice because the icemaker either wasn’t working or I didn’t know how to make it work. I told her it was not necessary. I could easily pick some up. I just didn’t know if I wasn’t doing something right to get ice maker started. She went ahead and brought us a large bag of ice that was more than enough for our stay.

The Blue Door property was absolutely perfect for me! I have very high standards and I couldn't have been more pleased with the overall house and location. Check in and out was seamless and any questions I had were answered quickly by the owner. The house was very clean and well appointed and I loved my morning walks around the charming neighborhood. ( my old stomping grounds) This house was truly perfect for my stay with my small dogs to visit family and friends. I would stay here every time if had the chance. Thank you!! :)

Perfect location in Mission Hills for family and adult children. Coffee and wine shop around the corner-great dining and can’t miss the Huddle for breakfast. House is absolutely lovely, nice and light, lots of space and so relaxing. Will definitely come back!!

Perfect location for us! Short Walking distance to our daughter’s home where we have two young grandchildren, and near a great coffee shop and ‘kitchen’ gift store. The house was very clean, comfortable, and welcoming with holiday decorations! We enjoyed having two bathrooms and two full-size bedrooms as our adult son stayed with us.

My husband and I stayed with our 16-year-old and my mother in this lovely home in a great location. We spent early evenings on the side porch with a glass of wine and watching birds (a hummingbird owns the tree out front :) ). All the TVs have Roku so we could log in to our own accounts and keep up with our shows in the evening (login info is auto-deleted on our departure date). The beds were very comfortable and the kitchen was equipped enough for us to make a nice seafood dinner our first night (Blue Water is a great fishmonger 5 minutes away). We ate at Fort Oak (an 11-minute walk) the second night which was pricey but a treat. There was a tray of treats and sparkling water in the fridge for our arrival - great for arriving travelers. The house is a 10-minute drive to the zoo and Balboa Park as well as the airport (but there's no air traffic noise). The only downside was that parking is on the street and it can be a popular neighborhood so parking in front of the house isn't always available. Within 20-30 minutes someone had always vacated a spot so it wasn't that big of a deal.

This home is lovely. Immaculately clean and fairly well stocked. It’s an older home, but all modern conveniences have been updated. The showers had great water pressure, which is always a real treat. We’ll be checking this property when we return to San Diego.

The house was very tidy and had good instructions about how everything worked. The manager was very easy to work with. I'd stay here again.

Stay was fine once we were able to check in. House is very old but charming. Best thing about house is the two bedrooms with king size beds. Mattresses very comfy.

It’s becoming increasingly challenging to find quality stays with properties that match their advertised pics - this is A GREAT property which accomplishes just that! Nicely renovated bathrooms and well kept in general. Incredibly comfortable beds. Neighborhood is delightful. We walked in every direction daily. Would definitely stay again.

The Blue Door is a beautiful property that checked all the boxes for us. For a family of 5, having 2 bathrooms and plenty of space to spread out was ideal. Nicely appointed and excellent attention to detail for things like high-quality bath towels and providing beach chairs and towels. Cute, quiet neighborhood that is within walking distance for morning coffee - bonus! Highly recommend 👌

This was a nice, clean, spacious house and we would absolutely stay here again. The neighborhood is beautiful with a cute little downtown. The house had comfortable beds and plenty of space for all of us. the side yard was fenced in and it was great for my little kids to play in. The kitchen had plenty of cookware, plates/utensils, etc. It's everything you want in a rental and we loved it.

The Blue Door has lots of charm in a darling neighborhood. We really enjoyed exploring and experiencing the local stops within walking distance from the property. I was worried about the street parking but there was plenty available. Neighbors and locals were wonderful.

This was our second stay at the Blue Door property. The location is excellent and the home well appointed and clean. A surprise from our first stay was the addition of a good sized second bathroom. Close to Old Town and the Trolley, AMTRAK station, grocery stores, parks, downtown and Balboa Park.
Great place to stay.
