We enjoyed this clean, comfortable and well-equiped house nestled in a peaceful woodland setting. A great home away from home for our week's stay.

Bob and Judy's house is charming and quiet. The setting is beautiful, tucked deep in the mountains, but easy to get to. It was a wonderful stay, and close to so many special parts of the NC mountains. Although the house is small, it is spacious and comfortable. We hope to be back in the near future!

This was the perfect home base to come back to and relax after exploring the areas around it during the day with our kids. Very peaceful and cozy.

We loved staying at the Little Round House. It was perfect for our home base - it had everything we needed - exceptionally clean, quiet and in a perfect location for relaxing and getting out to explore this beautiful area! We would definitely book again!!

Fun drive to get there, beautiful, well appointed home. Directions were great, and owners were easy to reach when we had questions!

Everything was great. My co-worker and I enjoyed the relaxed feeling of this rental from day one. After a long days work, it was great to sit back and enjoy some free time with peace and quiet from the everyday world. If I am ever back in the area and the rental is available, will book it again. Thanks go to the host for a great place.

Clean, comfortable, well-equipped small house off the main road but convenient to hikes in the area. Plenty of privacy but the thoughtful, responsive, and friendly owners live close by. Thoroughly enjoyed my stay and I hope to return.

We enjoyed our stay at the round house. The location is private and very peaceful, and close to Little Switzerland and the Blue Ridge Parkway. Our hosts were great! We would definitely recommend this place to our friends and family.

The home was spacious, well appointed and very clean. It had everything you could need and then some. It is on a quiet wooded road. The bed was super comfy and I slept great. It is round like a yurt and has a balcony all the way around it. It has sliding glass doors in 3 or 4 locations that my dog liked looking out. There is a patio on the back balcony that overlooks the woods, had 2 rocking chairs and table and chairs, plus barbeque pit. We spent many mornings drinking coffee there, evenings eating there. It's very relaxing. It is a short drive to the grocery store. I enjoyed it there, would recomend it and would definitely stay there again. Very peaceful.

Beautiful little round house equipped with everything we needed to make a nice Thanksgiving dinner. Really enjoyed our stay and would love to return again.

We had a great peaceful stay at The Little Round House. Everything was clean and we had no issues with check-in etc. There were handwritten notes with instructions throughout the house so you can tell the owners take special pride in serving their guests and maintaining the premises. Our one complaint was that the bedroom walls didn't go all the way to the ceiling. The ceiling is a beautiful valuted round ceiling, but it just didn't offer the privacy we expected when we book. It wasn't a major issue but it can make it challenging if someone snores, or likes to get up early or stay up late. You can hear noise between bedrooms and from living area to both rooms. Like I said, it didn't dramatically effect our stay we were just a little more careful to be quiet for one another, but it would have been nice to have the info when considering the property.

The house is wonderful. Quiet, and surrounded by nature. We have motorcycles so, access to the BRP, Diamondback, Devils whip was fantastic. Also being suck in because of tropical storm Fred, the house had Plenty of games, books to keep us occupied. Will definitely be back.

Great location. Easy travel to a lot of attractions yet still convenient to local eateries and stores.

Loved the Round House! It was the perfect place to stay while exploring the mountains. We enjoyed the wrap around deck and cooking our meals on the grill.

My family loved this cabin. It was very clean, perfect location, and owners were friendly and helpful. Road to access the cabin was very well maintain.

Clean, comfortable and plenty of supplies. Nothing was lacking. Plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, condiments, cookware, utensils, etc. Quiet and secluded, just off the Blue Ridge Parkway. Highly recommended.

We really enjoyed this home and look forward to staying again. Very clean, stocked with everything you need. Bed was comfy, the setting was beautiful and the location was great for us to visit with family.

The rental property had everything we needed. If you are looking to keep busy with “stuff” to do, this isn’t the place. We did a lot of hiking and found some nice waterfalls that were great! The food at the cafe in Little Switzerland is amazing! If you are willing to drive any distance I’m sure you could find more to explore.

Property was very clean and had everything we needed except don’t expect to get many channels on the tv - choices were very limited so we read books instead!

This little circle house was all we could have wanted and more. Bob and Judy are the most considerate hosts and it is shown throughout the property. Their kitchen is fully stocked and when we encountered a problem with the grill and blender they were quick to replace the items (which we thought went above and beyond). We did end up having to bring work with us and the WiFi signal was strong. Otherwise, our small family of 3 and our dog were perfectly content. The house is located on a mountain and you only really have one neighbor next to you. They were quiet and if anything we were probably the nuisance as our dog loved to go over to greet them when they first arrived. I should make prospective guests aware that there was low water pressure that was apparent in the bathroom sinks, but we assumed it was because the cabin is high on the mountains and it wasn’t an issue for us. We appreciated the washer and dryer as we stayed for about 10 days and tried to pack light. The location also works as a great home base to many area attractions along the blue ridge parkway and we were about an hour away or less from many areas. We were able to go horseback trail riding at Springmaid Mountain, visit Linville Falls and caverns, see Grandfather Mtn and The Blowing Rock, drive to Biltmore in Asheville, and we even did a trek to Gatlinburg in TN. There is also a hiking path if you just continue up the mountain road if you don’t want to venture beyond the house. We did not expect to fall in love with NC, but our stay ar Bob & Judy’s helped. Would definitely stay here again! Thank you for the retreat!

Loved the house. Had everything for a comfortable stay. Well placed to access the entire NC mountain region via the Blue Ridge Parkway. Highly recommend to anybody wanting a quiet place to relax or springboard to the NC mountains.

We found this home to be very cozy and relaxing. The kitchen has anything you need to make a good meal, and we used the grill to cook dinner every single night. Bob was very responsive and always responded quickly. They live literally up the street and he drove by when we arrived to introduce himself. If you need anything, Walmart is about 10 min away. For those bringing dogs, one warning is that we heard what we believe was a bobcat when we were taking our pup out (before light) so just be aware and careful. Also if you go up the hill, past the houses, on the left there is an open area where we threw the ball for our pup. The only con to our stay was the bathtub was clogged for the entire duration of our stay which really sucked but Bob offered to fix it immediately. Due to covid we opted to leave it be and he said he'd fix it as soon as we leave. We got engaged this weekend so this will always be a special place in our hearts :) Activities we did: Linville Falls Winery (where we got engaged), hiking, horseback riding at Springmaid Mountain
