The cottage is little but very comfortable. The outdoor bath is amazing and the farm animals very very cute. The host was very friendly and responded quickly to messages.

Awesome stay, loved it. Exactly what we needed coming from AKL!!!

The location was handy for work. The owner was really friendly and helpful.
The bath was in a room that had no front to it so you were open to the elements. The noise from the main road could be heard at night and early morning. The bed was too soft. All I could smell when I went in was a smell of a cat, obviously the cat had been in there. It looks very tired and needs painting. Luckily it wasn’t raining otherwise you would needs boots to walk across the grass to the room. I choose it because it has a bath, if I had known it was all open at the front I wouldn’t have booked it.

The location is one of a kind! We loved the place. So many details to discover and let's not forget the free standing bathtube standing outside :)

Great view. Had travel issues, so I checked in super late, but everything was set up, and heating was on, thankfully. Peaceful spot. Couldn't fault a thing.

Very charming cottage, thoughtfully decorated and with lovely views. It was a very cold night but the heater was on when I arrived and it was very effective. I was kept warm and comfortable, and enjoyed the visit of William, the cat, who was so affectionate. Great location and I was able to get UberEats which was very handy. Karen is absolutely lovely and welcoming. Thanks for a great stay :)

There wasn't any heating or curtains so it got a wee bit cold

The location was lovely, just off the road but didn't hear the road noise, looking out to a lovely view.
The bed was a bit soft for me, I have a firm bed

NOTHING. The hosts are completely ignoring the guests if in need for help or anything really.
Wouldn't give 1 star but had to to write a review. When mom and her partner arrived from Germany, they found the cottage in a dirty state. The bed was broken and unsafe to lie on, dirty towels who were just thrown onto the towel rail, ants everywhere, soaking wet pillows to "sit in front of the cabin" but the main problem was that the main entrance door to the cabin could not be locked. There were no written instructions on how to get the house locked. After knocking on the host's door (no luck) and calling them and leaving voice messages asking if someone could show them how to lock the door, my mother and her partner decided to look elsewhere staying in Tauranga as they felt unsafe to leave their passports, cash etc. in it as well as sleep there knowing that anyone could just walk into the cottage.
I work in a hotel as Guest Experience Manager and have never experienced such "service". Completely ignoring a guest who needs help is just plain rude and disrespectful. Also the owner has now blocked my number after sending her the pictures and asking for a refund. I will now be passing this onto everyone and anyone that will listen and asking for recommendations in Tauranga to stay.

The decor is really lovely with some delightful touches. Gorgeous rural outlook. A welcoming bottle of bubbly and chocolates was a great touch. Lovely owners who will go out of their way to be helpful. The rural aspect is a change from our usual stay in Tauranga. The owners would have let us charge our Tesla if needed.
The bed is an old wire based queen and located such that one of us had to climb over the other to get in and out of bed. It does sag somewhat, but to be fair we slept well. When we arrived, the small kitchen area lacked a toaster (the owners kindly lent us theirs and then got a new one for the unit). There is no microwave or other heating device, but again, the owners lent us their microwave. Realistically, you do want to be able to at least have breakfast as the nearest cafe is a drive away. We had dreadful weather, and the only indoor seating options were a single chair and the bed. With fine weather, there are good outside options for sitting and dining.
There was a little road noise from around 5.30 am on along Moffat road behind our unit. The house is described beachfront, but the nearest beach is a long way away.
