Clean, bright, roomy, lovely bathroom, quality power shower, comfortable. quiet and warm. Great customer service. Beautiful historic building, and a lot of the original features are still in place, but the apartment was modern and fresh.

Be prepared to go up steps to property, it doesn’t look very welcoming outside or in the lobby, but don’t be fooled, it’s very well maintained. On the road there was rubbish all around, which is no fault of the property, the council needs to clean up there roads.

First time staying at Bessemer House got to say the apartment was very clean and tidy no dirty linen and no noise coming from other apartments would definitely recommend to other and will definitely be coming back

Excellent property. Very clean and spacious. There was everything we needed for a stress free stay. The location was perfect for us (few minutes drive from the ice rink) and there were plenty of parking spaces outside the property. We never met the host. There was a very easy contact free check-in. The host was exceptionally good with replying to any of our messages. We were very happy with our stay in this property. Thank you

Very nice clean apartment. Lots of room. Very comfortable bed. Good communication with hosts. Ample on road parking outside

Location was industrial area, however, easy walk into Sheffield and easy reach in uber to the arena, meadow Hall etc.

From a regular world traveler: STAY AWAY AT ALL COST

Absolutely nothing. Visit was shocking

1. Location: be prepared to have a car or rent a car because this very old building is very isolated in a dark street - lots of homeless wandering around all the time so be mindful if you family or children. We felt really unsafe. 2. No parking: park at your own risk on the street - we found the car next morning with big scratch on the bonnet - so be prepared for stay in a very sketchy (Dodgy) area. Now the building: 1. Very old - once you open the building door a very strong Indian food smell is exploding everywhere in the building- your clothes will literally smell like onions and garlic. We actually don’t know whether the owners are cocking in the building because owners are south Asians or it is just the whole other flats were cocking Indian food all the time. We have no clue. So: very bad smell everywhere in the building and inside the flat. So be prepared for this, unless you are okay with Indian food smell. 2. The person who took the 100£ direct cash transfer deposit was very rude over the phone. 3. They put all the keys of all their flats in one box! Can you imagine no privacy issues! The keys have faint numbers, so it happens that we got two keys (one for us and the other one was with faint not Legible number. After we checked in someone called us to hand over the key to the other people for the other apartment who were waiting. We handed over them the keys. No body has been called out and we have never seen anyone from them - then of course it’s golden opportunity for them to deduct 50£ from the deposit. Felt like we are not booking in a respectful place. Of course they will reply to say calls out for 50£ but no body has been called out. Be prepared for unlawful deductions from your deposit with no reason or faked reasons. 4. Kitchen was dirty with two plates already used! Again smell inside the flat was horrible Indian food. 5. We paid 174 £ for one night plus taxes to finally figure out the bathroom has no shower gel or soap or toilet papers!

Little gem of a property

Fabulous, spacious property in an amazing building. Equipped with everything we needed and very comfortable.

It’s not in the nicest place but was a good location for the arena, just a short taxi ride away.

Great stay overall ❤️

I liked how dedicated the staff were with me to ensure I got the most out of my stay, Ot was spacious & comfy, I extended my stay twice with next to no issues.

The bathroom shower was blocked so I kept showering in a little pool of water, due to my stay being lengthy I went and got a drain unblocker and fixed the issue my self.

Apartment great Area not so.

The apartment was lovely. If a little tired, it's got some lovely features, and it just needs some snagging to bring them back to its best.

The area was fairly run down. And the rubbish was blowing about everywhere.

Small alterations could make a big difference!

Communication was good. It felt safe and secure. It was warm. Very comfy bed.

Aspects of the flat we're unclean (cobwebs need dusting away and a good hoover), especially the kitchen and it's utensils. The TV on the wall is wonky and the internal doors won't close. Where sockets have been put in walls, you can see behind them - simply poor workmanship! Poorly decorated. Only one shelf in the oven and no tea towels. A lamp in the lounge would be nice. Light around the bathroom mirror didn't work.

Could not make a judgment about it.

It looks nice enough in the pictures, and the building is quite impressive from the outside.

This is a slightly unusual review in that we never got to stay in the property, although we paid for it fully in advance. What the description on the site does not make clear is that the property is in an area that is entirely industrial and commercial, and there is absolutely zero happening after working hours. There is nothing one can walk too. It’s basically on its own in the middle of an industrial estate. We arrived after dark, the street was entirely deserted as far as the eye could see … no traffic, no people. The entrance to the property was not well lit and the hallway inside was also rather dim (which we could see through the front-door windows). We had misplaced the door code (our fault) so tried to ring the contact number. This had been given incorrectly (extra digit added) so it took a lot of trial and error to make contact with someone, who was nice enough when we got through to them. By that time, however, my partner had become very nervous about the surroundings and was not comfortable to stay so we went somewhere else. The property is probably very nice inside but the description needs to make it clear where it is located.
