Mohammed was a super host, the dinners and breakfast delicious and reasonably priced. Location excellent, peaceful corner of the village. Cannot recommend highly enough.

Situated in a small village direct on the Dades river, surrounded by a lush palm tree grove - one can't imagine a better location in this region. The Palmeraie around the Kasbah is much more sumptuous, if smaller then the one in Skoura, with the later still only five minutes drive away. We've got a very warm welcome from the friendly hosts, Najate and Mohamed, were served an opulent diner with the best tajine we ever had in Morocco - slow cooked in traditional oven, with seven kinds of vegetable and traditional spices, it stands out from the standard you can expect elsewhere. Also the breakfast was rich and tasty. The common areas inside the Kasbah are large and traditionally decorated, there is a big terrace with wonderful views. We will definitely stay here again.

Great place to visit. It was above our expectations. The location looks very remote but is actually worth staying for a few nights. You can go out for a hiking, running, or 4x4 adventure on the other side of the Dades river.
The food at the place is exceptional. Madame Najante prepares a great dinner and breakfast. Mohamed is a friendly manager who helps with any questions and makes guests enjoy vacations.
Unexpectedly that was the best stay during our 13 days trip in Morocco.

Mohammed does a wonderful job of making the place welcoming to all guest. The quiet surroundings are peaceful and were a nice change of pace from the busyness of Marrakech.
It’s 2-3 miles off the main road. recommended to make the drive during the day.

This is a beautiful kasbah in a gorgeous and peaceful location just by the river. Staying here was the highlight of our holiday in Morocco. Mohamed did everything to make us feel so at home and organised great activities for us each day. The food was delicious and so much of it! This is really a wonderful place to stay.
It was perfect, we liked everything.

In almost 20 days travelling though Marrokos this was our favorite place. The room was simple but comfortable and enought for what we nedded. The food, made by Madame Najate was the best we ate durging all travel (dinner and breakfast). Mohamed, the right hand of Madame Najate, was an experience apart! He is the type of person that make you feel at your own home. We had the opportunitty to talk to him, know more about the culture of the country and know all the vegetables of their garden (they are very proud of that). I recomend this place for all friends that plan to visit Marrokos, in my opinion this is a mandatory stop!

Everything was great. It is just like visiting friends or family in Skoura. Very good for some relaxing days. Meals are tasty and filling. Mohamed (the manager) is great! Madame Najate is very kind. You leave this place feeling that you could stay an extra day (I stayed indeed one extra day). People in Skoura are very friendly. I definitely recommend Skoura and Kasbah Elmehdaoui Chez Madame Najate.
Nothing bad

Madame Najad's place was by far the best accommodation we stayed at in Morocco! The place itself was wonderful, scenic and historical, the staff was incredibly friendly and kind, and Madame Najad's freshly made tagine was OUTLANDISH! we've searched and searched for something similar during the rest of our trip but it was impossible to even near the perfection of Madame Najade's cooking. We loved every moment of our stay and we highly recommend to make a stop here to visit the nearby Oasis and kasbah of Skoura (another highlight of our trip!)

Mrs. Najate and Mohamed welcomed us with open arms and with great sympathy. The breakfasts (pancakes, omelettes, breads, jams, coffees, tea... every morning) and dishes were delicious and very generous. Mohamed is a true professional and so helpful. Always with a smile, he is very responsive and puts everyone at ease.Mrs. Najate is very friendly. We were charmed by the service of this establishment. The villagers are also very smiling. The pool is a good size. Hike and walk in the palm grove and on the hills right out of the establishment. We hope to return one day ... Pierre, Vanessa and the children.

Madame Najate and Mohammed, who is managing the Kasbah, are extremely nice and so welcoming! They made us feel like home (or even better :) ). The food was just amazing, I have no words for how great the breakfast and dinner was! As my friend can't eat gluten and I am vegetarian they prepared some vegetarian & glutenfree food options for us!
The Kasbah has a nice terrace and a comfortable living / dining room.
The double room is quite basic, bathroom was ok. But the nice treatment of Mohammed and Madamme Najate made this stay unforgettable :)
Nothing to complain :)

Our host Mohammed was so enthusiastic and welcoming! We felt he really went out of his way to make our stay excellent. The swimming pool was wonderful, and the food amazing. Staying in this kasbah was a highlight of our trip to Morocco.
The room itself was not the most inspiring and smelled a bit musty - but then again this was really a minor discomfort.

Lovely setting and seemed really authentic setting
Hosts were very hospitable
Breakfast was outstanding with locally sourced honey too !
Bathroom smell was a bit overpowering but it was reasonably clean and there was hot water for the shower. we had opted for a family room for 5 of us but it was a bit cramped. we perhaps should have booked 2 rooms

The property is beautiful and we were welcomed so warmly by Mohammad. He showed us the property and the gardens, which is beautiful w. many fruit trees. But above all, the dinner.... was A-MA-ZING! Mme. Najate is a 5-star chef. Everything was seasoned to perfection - it wasn't just our best meal in Morocco, but one of the best meals we've ever eaten anywhere. Breakfast was also fabulous and plentiful - with an egg omelette in addition to the typical breads, jams, olives and dates.
Nothing at all - it was one of our trip's highlights.

We loved the place. It’s absolutely fantastic.
Situated at the end of a really nice village, the kasbah is a small haven, really peaceful.
Both Madame Najate and Mohamed were really welcoming and helpful for our trip.
The cooking skills of Madame Najate are amazing and worth the price. My best meal in Morroco.
As well, the location is quite great for a walk around or even further around Skoura, Dades etc…
Highly recommended for one night or a week.

The location was amazing, we watched the beautiful sunset with traditional tea on arrival which was so beautiful. The dinner and breakfast were INCREDIBLE! Madame Najate is such a fantastic cook and catered for my gluten free diet with ease. Best food we’ve had in Morocco. You must stay here if you’re driving between Marrakech and Merzouga (or just as a stay in itself!). We really hope to come back one day.
Nothing!

This place is amazing! Everything was perfect and the breakfest is delicious. We stayed only one night, but the staff were super happy and helpful. I truly recommend this place, worth for sure leaving the main road.
They tax you the booking tax they have to pay for booking, not you. Not really fair, but it was 3 euros.

We booked very spontaneously and were welcomed open heartedly. During the night, we the only guests which was a little bit intimidating because it is a huge Kashba but our host made us feel very safe. We had an incredible dinner with Tagine and Couscous. We also had a very tasty breakfast with a nice omelette on the Rooftop of the castle.
Unfortunately the shower was only cold.

The breakfast was amazing. This place is immense, it felt like a personal castle. The terrace had a great view, our rooms were comfortable. The staff were extremely warm and friendly, and they even showed us how they traditionally made bread in the fire oven!
The shower was not well connected, so the pressure was low and most of the water leaked from the pipe instead of coming through the head. Also be aware that typing in the name directly to Google maps might send you to the beginning of the village, and not in its real location (but there are red arrows throughout the village to lead you there.)

The view was amazing. We walk a bit along the river and it was very calm and beautiful.
The hosts are super friendly and helpful. The dinner was very good (but way to much!) My advise is to share ;)
The toilet had some trouble with flushing properly.

Zacaria is the nicest guy ever! Although his English is quite basic, he always shows himself with a contagious smile on his face and he is really helpful and caring. The Kasbah is located in the middle of a very cosy and peaceful village, here you really feel emersed in Moroccan culture. I wish I could have spent more time in this place.
