Confort, curatenie, locatie, izolare fonica, peisaje.
La camera 106 geamul de la baie nu se poate deschide, deoarece sistemul electric de deschidere este stricat, fapt cunoscut de personalul hotelului.

The staff: friendly and always helpful.
The lobby: nice music, bar, best wine we ever had, fire place, board games and books.
The room: jacuzzi and sauna in the St. Moritz room. Molton Brown soaps, shampoos, lotions.
The outside restaurant: good food, music, swings and fresh air.
Overall, it didn't seem like 5 star hotel, maybe it was 10 years ago. Rooms could be updated. Carpets were stained. Balcony in St. Moritz room was filthy, outside table was dirty and sticky, you could see it wasn't cleaned in MONTHS. There were old soda cans underneath the boards of the balcony.
The light sensor wasn't working on the stairway to the bathroom inside the room.
There was NO light on the stairway outside the leading to the room. Staff had to use phone flashlight to guide us to it.
We had to ask for the wifi password, although in the booklet we found in the room it said that no password was needed. It could of been written somewhere.

The lobby area has a nice fireplace and the room was clean. The food from the restaurant is good quality and fresh. They serve a generous breakfast. The people in the restaurant are kind and eager to help.
The bartender at the top bar was all the time talking loud on her phone (video call with her family) and not minding the customers in the lobby, also the staff started a fight (loud talking, shouting, telling harsh words to each other) right in front of the bar, not minding the customers. The music from the lobby/bar was a cheap music from a radio with a lot of commercials not making it a nice atmosphere. I asked to be changed, but I was told it is not possible, they have nothing else. In the morning, the smell from the kitchen breakfast is in all the hotel, including at the third floor and in all the rooms. Very unpleasant.

The price paid about 300€ is far away above the level of confort and service expected for similar place in Romania. The room furniture is basic and the bathroom quite old style. The restaurant was also very disappointed. Hotel is a bit far from the city (2km).
I like the water pressure of the shower. The quietness of the room.

The staff was very kind, the lobby is inviting and has a very cozy atmosphere
The apartmants are big
The stairs are not good for familes with kids
Apartmants needs rennovation especially replacing the carpets

Room was very nice. There was some reconstruction work at the property and the daytime was quite noisy.
The restaurant, the poor quality of the food. Prices were too high for what you get in return.

Staff is very friendly and helpful.
Hotel is in good condition.
It took a long time to get hot water.
And hot water stream was very poor even after they took care of the problem.

This is really a 5 stars location. It's priced as such, but worth it. The location is very romantic, the rooms are really good, with large balconies overlooking the restaurant / forest. Staff is super-ok, customer-obsessed. Special note about the food: their chef knows his / her craft, kudos. Will come back.
Nothing to improve.

The closeness to nature, the cool rooms, the staff that puts in extra effort at every turn, making you feel special. Food is fantastic, we felt no need to try other restaurants nearby. The Sri Lankan massage was really good. The hotel helped us with a lot, private tour of peles Castle for a good price, advice for hiking etc. The manager (Valentin) made us feel super welcome. This is a hotel we can imagine returning to again as a destination of itself. Can only imagine how cool it would be there in winter!
We had a minor inconvenience with our room that couldn't be fixed quickly. We were compensated by being upgraded to their biggest 3 floor suite with jacuzzi and sauna

as always above and beyond friendly staff, polite, helpful.
the hotel starts to show it’s age: dirty carpets in lobby, stairs and rooms, bathroom ammenities not functioning properly, low water flow complemented with a smell that makes the whole experience not so pleasant as we used to know many years ago Ioana hotel’s to be.
- also our room was invaded with wasps and we were bitten by them, changed the room but the problems above continued (without the wasps).
the staff was very apologetic, however no discount was made since we’ve payed for a room with balcony and received one without.
hoped that management would take some actions or compliment us with some free drinks or smth if not discount on our room.
overall, the experience was not worth, for sure not anymore a 5 star property.
it’s a shame that Ioana hotels ended up in this stage of degradation.
we’ll come back when the property will be fully restored and hope everything will change by then.
