Lo preciosa que era la aldea en general. Las casas son muy amplias y perfectamente equipadas para cocinar.

the unique design of the room, it took you back travelling in history, beautiful place, lovely garden, delicions restaurant where we had dinner ad the list goes on
we could hear the wind under the door and the windows are quite thin, it got quite frightening at a point by the way the wind blew

It was gorgeous -- both the location and the buildings. The staff was wonderfully helpful and friendly (André and the young woman also working at the reception stand out, as did the lithe gardener with whom I spoke!), and while I couldn't get wifi in the rooms, it was nice to have the "break" and to go to the café/restaurant/bar where we met some lovely people, including the wonderful bartender/waiter, Eliseu (very funny and very helpful!). I loved that there were excellent trail leading in several directions from the site, including a terrific waterfall hike. It was one of the more interesting and beautifully charming places I've ever stayed. (And while it would have been miserably damp, they had already gotten the dehumidifier going by the time we arrived, and what a difference that made!)
Well, the mattress was kinda awful. By the third night I had become acclimated to it, though.

Everything! I would give 10000 stars if I could.
I traveled alone as a women and I always felt save, special and in good hands. The stuff is so kind, and that's so special about this place. It's like a family, they will always try to help you for your best time on the island and be there for you. The team in the kitchen, just adorable and kind. It was such a magical place. The stone houses. No wifi in the houses made it even better. I had ponneys in my garden, a cat that accompanied me to my house and so many magic moments more.
Obrigada!!!!

This is an amazing place to stay that will take you back in time in the most magical way! The setting of the cottage, the wildlife and staff are just amazing! The cottage still has a historical feel but the owners have modernised it with amenities without taking away the country/cottage feel. The photos on the site do not do this place justice and cannot capture how beautiful this place is. The staff are exceptional, especially Lina and Roberto, they were so kind and helpful and went above and beyond to help make our trip so magical and memorable, they are a real asset to this place. The cottage is perfectly located to main sites like the extraordinary waterfalls and hikes. The food is exceptional too, so fresh and tasty- a definite 5 star standard competing with some of the best restaurants!
If you get an opportunity to stay hear, you will love it! A really beautiful place where you can disconnect with modern life and reconnect with nature and its beauty!
A few insects but that is to be expected as you are in an older building and close to nature.

Logement confortable et très propre.
Petit déjeuner super avec beaucoup de choix
La carte du restaurant est un peu réduite et les prix sont élevés….

The location was beautiful and the cottage quaint and lovely. Bed was comfortable staff were so nice and helpful.
The shower was very small but that’s a minor concern. The only thing I felt bad about is the female pony had a badly matted tail and a few small open areas on her hind end. It looked as though she could use some TLC.

Aldeia Da Cuada is definitely a dream place and a trip into the past. What a lovely place to stay, the houses are gorgeous, the back yard with the beach chairs, the views of the sunset, the cows, the donkey, the bull, the ponies, everything was absolutely AMAZING! The staff is also very nice, specially Federico who was very kind and attentive to me. The walks and hikes around the area are also pretty fantastic and it is walking distance from Poco do Ferreiro, Faja Grande and Fajazinha!
The shower is very small.

Great historical house, warm staff, and amazing breakfast. Good for a night or a couple as the bed comfort guarantees amazing sleep. There are also a few cats roaming around keeping the company.

The history behind the restoration project, its location, the views (ocean & mountains with waterfalls!), the small details spread in all the properties and the private garden
The lack of mosquito nets as insects in such a natural environment are easy to encounter in the house

Absolute must stay if you are planning to visit Flores
Historical abandoned village transformed into a Hotel.
Very helpful staff

Historic village and houses. This was picturesque. This has one of the best locations on Flores - minutes from waterfalls, swimming and views. The house was comfortable and quiet. The restaurant and breakfast was very good.
The kitchen was basic but passable. It was a pretty long walk over rough cobble stones to our house.
A french press for coffee would be nice as well.

Breakfast was the best. The house was very nice

Pretty holiday site within walking distance of spectacular sights and the sea. The village itself was sympathetically restored following the emigration of all its dwellers in the sixties. Very peaceful. We had a large private garden, including a garden table and chairs. The focal point of the village is the restaurant/breakfast room, which includes a very pleasant outdoors area surrounded by a large number of flowers and a good menu. We enjoyed the quality of the food and the service. The team running the village is efficient and friendly. They also provide pick-ups to/from the airport (for a fee).
The main downside is inadequate wifi. I could just about put-up with no internet in the villa, but having to wait 20 minutes to upload a few photos on social media from the common area (restaurant/reception) was a frustrating experience. As part of keeping the village as close as possible to its original look, the villas are linked together by a number of original but rambling and highly uneven footpaths (made-up of badly joined-up flagstones and stones) that would be impassable for travellers with reduced mobility. Fortunately, our heavy cases were taken to our villa by the staff. The other downside is the small size of some of the dwellings, including ours this time. There was no space for a comfortable sofa, the bed was on the small side and the living area was quite dark. I understand the desire to keep the dwellings looking and feeling as close as possible to the original houses, but would recommend to anyone looking for space to book a villa designed for groups rather than couples. I don't remember there being a TV. It didn't bother us, but some visitors may find the lack of a TV frustrating. Another thing worth knowing is that the only store we found in Fajã Grande (25 minutes' walk) does not take credit cards. Ensure you have cash or go hungry! I don't think Aldeia da Cuada sells any basic commodities either, so unless you arrive with shopping bags, the kitchen appliances won't be much use to you. My advice is to shop in Santa Cruz straight after landing, however unappealing this might sound after a long trip!

Delightful chance to stay in a comfortably renovated, charming stone village. Perfectly positioned to explore the beauty of the west side of the island. Hikes right off the premises and others very near.
4.5
The amazing flora and the open areas. The
surroundings is beautiful. The houses are very nice, only from the outside.
The inside of the houses is extremely poor. The interior is severely outdated.
The maintenance is amateur and reminds a youth summer camp rather than a prestige resort.
The rooms are small, dark and clastrophobic. The windows are small. Some of the doors are very low (main entrance and bathroom).
The design is ascetic, tasteless and eclectic.
The rooms are simply not welcoming and are quite depressing.
The house had damp odor, although 2 moisture collectors were in the house nobody explained how to operate them, we had to empty them several times every day. It shows the moisture level in the house.
Kitchen - the washing sponge was used and had bad smell. Half of the cups were dirty. The sink is discusting, photos attached.
Some of the electric sockets were loose, some dirty and old.
Bathroom - the shower handle is fixed in a position that makes you hold it while showering, otherwise the water will spray out of the shower stall.
Only soap was available. There was no place to put the shampoo and conditioner in the shower. There was sewage smell in the toilets sometimes.
The toilet seat did not fit the bowl and was offside.
No Wi-fi in the houses. Only in the reception area.
The double bed was really small. 1.4 m. wide.
This is the place, people should know that before they book a room.
Breakfast - half of the offering is not available on the buffet, one has to order it personally. Weird method.
Im general the feeling is the opposite of generosity. Ordered dishes are small.
No flexibility in the breakfast, boiled egg - not available, omelette - not available.
Cappuccino at extra cost - are you real?
Dining room can be crowded.
What a disapointment. Paying a lot of money for one of the most expensive places in Flores and receiving the above mentioned.

The location was fabulous and for me it was extra special to stay there because my great grandmother lived in one of the homes until she passed away in the 1970’s before I was born. The homes are modernized inside but everything outside and the village itself looks the same and feels like you walked back in time 150+ yrs ago. I stayed in a home that had an unobstructed view of the ocean and was incredible. Weather for most of the days during my stay were also incredible and temperate for the time of year (end of May).
All the trails throughout the village are as they were and a little treacherous if you don’t watch where you’re walking. It should be noted because of the original state the village is in it is not handicap accessible. I strongly suggest getting a tutorial on how to use the water and make sure you have it. I had issues with the hot water and the shower leaked water on the floor. The leaking water was due to poor installation of the shower that resulted in a gap of the shower doors. The shower was also very cramped and small. It was hard to maneuver washing without hitting the wall or shower doors. Additionally, I would caution not leaving food on the kitchen counter. I did and woke up to a formidable amount of ants devouring the food I purchased at the nearby market. I had to put everything in the fridge which prevented me from making meals at the house. I would also caution about the weather of the village. It is high and closer to the tops of nearby mountains, therefore, days can start and end stormy and cold at the end of May.

If you visit Flores, this the perfect place to stay.
Its beauty is behind words and staying in those houses is pure magic
Food is great, we only had breakfast and dinner here, but the service was outstanding.
They also have vegetarian options.
Professional and friendly staff, we felt only good vibes at this location.

The cottages are located in the reconstructed traditional village, and it's a marvellously beautiful place. In the house itself you have everything you need, including kitchen utensils and dishes. The rooms were tidy and clean. I think it's one of the best places to stay on Flores island, and we really enjoyed our time there.
The food in the restaurant seemed somewhat over-prised.

Staff was overall very friendly .Our arrival was delayed by one day due to flight cancellations and they refunded us this 1 night with no fee😊
Good restaurant,we ate there twice
Our house was quite humid inside as it was raining almost every day during our stay.
There was nobody to help us with our luggage in the morning(before 9.00). Be aware that there’s cobblestone everywhere and our house was a little more far out.
4.5
Great place for an authentic feel of living in Flores. Staff are very helpful and friendly, and even took our luggage to our next accommodation (which also happens to be owned by the same people), however, they did this without us asking or requesting. Breakfast was great - with warm options one could order from the staff, or you can opt for just the cold cuts etc.
A nice romantic setting, where one can see cows, and even donkeys up close.
Since the vibe is authentic, note that there is no wifi in the rooms, but you can use the wifi in the reception area. Also, the roads are cobbles, which is very cute and authentic, but be careful that it does get slippery when it rains.
