A traditional house on stilts in the least touristy floating village in Cambodia. The kids in the village will greet you as you walk down the streets! The beds are pretty firm and the noise in the morning is pretty loud but if you want to experience life as a local then this is the best way to do it. You will need to pay $5pp to enter the village. We got a tuk tuk from Siem Reap using the Grab app. The guesthouse can also provide transport.

In positieve zin.

This is a great place to escape Siem Reap and relax, the view from the balcony is amazing, and once you get used to the roar of the long tail boats all is very calm.

Such a lovely family run home stay. Beds were comfy, facilities clean and all meals prepared with love. Simple but all you could need!
Nothing. Unrelated to the home stay; I was not prepared for the extent of the poverty in this fishing village. A few children sold small bracelets and another few outright asked for money. Do not give it to them, but to a local organization or buy things locally from their parent's shops instead.

An incredible experience in a remote floating village far away from tourists crowds. Staying there was such an awesome experience that I'd recommend to everybody passing by siem reap.
A family in the village even offered us a boat tour for $5 each (normal price is $20)
The Homestay is very clean, food is good and owners are lovely.

This accommodation is a must experience! You will become part of the local community. Be sure to order dinner. She was the best of the entire stay in Cambodia. I've traveled halfway around the world and this is one of the best accommodations I've been to. Radovan

This place is on another level! I arrived quite late in the dark so had an amazing surprise in the morning! Everyone in the village was busy working. I went for a walk around and everyone was really friendly. The hosts were very helpful and made my stay very comfortable.

This is a wonderful place to stay for one or two nights to explore the local fishing villages on one of the rivers leading to the Tonle Sap lake. The view from the balcony was amazing - lovely to be watched over by a huge, golden Buddha! It was a wonderful experience to sleep in the hanging beds in a house up on stilts like this and amazing to learn about the huge fluctuations in the water levels of the river between the wet and dry seasons. We enjoyed walking around the local village watching everyone busy working with the fish - they did all kinds of things: dried shrimps; dried fish; fermented fish; smoked fish... it's easy to see how important this industry is for the area. The fishermen start work early - about 5.30am but once you're in the rhythm of Cambodia, you realise this is normal everywhere in the country so please don't be surprised! The hosts were so accommodating and the food they served was delicious and freshly prepared. They even helped arrange us transport to the next location which was really helpful.
Although this is no fault of the homestay, sadly, the lake areas of Cambodia are heavily polluted by plastic and this takes a bit of getting used to as a Western visitor.

A very folklore place. With all the ensuing consequences. But nevertheless very interesting
It should be borne in mind that the Google navigator quickly finds the guesthouse, however, it does not lead to it, but to the temple on the central square

Sat is so far the best host I've had.
He explained us everything about his mushroom farm, brought us to the city, teached us tribes culture, cooked amazing dishes.... We could not expected more.
Go there and you'll find a place where you could also share good times instead of just staying and sleeping.

This homestay is in one of the Kampong Kleng villages. The home is beautifully designed and built, sitting over the Tonle Sap. If you want to experience life in the Tonle Sap, this is the best and probably most comfortable way to do so. The back area is shady and cool, you can literally sit there all day to watch the village coming alive. You can also hop on the boat of the property for a leisure boat ride to see the floating villages. The host family is wonderful and warm like most Cambodians, and went out of their way to look after you, and make sure you get to and from the property safely. All communications with the host were fast making it really easy to plan my transport. Forget hotels in Siem Reap - this is the way to explore Tonle Sap.
Nothing really

This homestay is in the friendliest village in Cambodia! our host, Jumlong, was attentive, kind and very helpful. he cooked a delicious fresh fish dinner and also a good breakfast. In the morning we saw the sunrise and tried some fishing. we were joined by some of the most courteous and sweet boys from the village. The beds were very comfortable. I slept well. Thank you, Jumlong.
I loved the beds - they are suspended by rope. They do swing a bit and I suffer from motion sickness. I took a motion prevention pill before bed, and had no problems. Also, the stairs are steep, but this is everywhere in Kampong Khleung. So not a bad thing, you just need to be careful. We loved our stay

It is really nice to experience the local life. The host was lovely, got to see the sunset and sunrise on the lake (with some of the kids of the village that came along with me 😃). The host also took me to see the village on this moterbike.
It is not negative, but take into account that it is a basic accommodation and there is a lot of noice from music and the boats, also during the night, so bring earplugs, then you will be fine.
