Was not offered a menu as others appeared to be. Had booked breakfast in advance. Ordered food with toast which arrived when we had finished our breakfast and after asking for it twice.
Took far too long to check into a 5 star hotel. One person on desk who disappeared for ages. Went to terrace bar until our room was ready. No staff to take order. When he eventually arrived, order was wrong.
Reception were going to call us when room was ready - did not happen! Was not a good start.

So central for everything. The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. The Cobbler bar was brilliant with great cocktails and the staff created a great atmosphere and we're very efficient..Just loved this hotel and right in the middle of everything.
Wasn't keen on the layout of the room .Bedroom upstairs, toilet downstairs .Would have been nice to have a bit more of milk etc.for extra cups of tea.
Little things but didn't spoil our stay.

Great location, by the waterside. Handy to a grocery store, transport and many attractions. Lovely interesting old building that has been modified into a quality hotel. More expensive than some of your chain hotels, but definitely worth the money.
Bathroom was up some stairs from the bedroom area.

The location and the building are gorgeous. The room was very comfortable and I had a small terrace, directly facing one of the huge chruches. Amazing.
The bar is also wonderfula nd the cocktails really great. You have your breakfast there and it is also wonderful as it is full of light, with amazing views and the buffet is truly good.
Getting there is a nightmare if you travel by car and have some luggages. The hotel is in a district that you cannot drive to. It is pedestrian area. So you have to park at 300+400m and walk to the hotel. The roads and paved, wich make it not so easy. And then you have to go upstairs to the hotel as the elevator does not god to the ground floor (very old buolding). It was a true nightmare with my very heavy luggages. But what I found truly distrubing is the fact that the hotel did not propose any help, any solution to help me. Even when I called from down the stairs. I was just told that that was it : pedestrian area and old building. Well. A little help would have been accepted.

stylish, comfortable and clean
noise from drunks at 3am outside each night, although not the hotels fault.

The front exited right into the Christmas market. Excellent location and beautiful hotel.
It is on a busy street and it is very loud.
