Large stylish apartment, very easy to drive to and park. We used donkey republic bikes to cycle to and from the town centre, although the tram is another option. The apartment is well equipped with kitchen equipment if you do want to dine in during your stay.

This apartment is situated in a quiet neighbourhood an easy drive from the main motorway. Ghent is only a 90 min drive from the Chunnel so its a good place for a weekend away. We were able to park off road outside the door to the apartment which was a bonus. Otherwise there is on street (to pay for) parking. Picking up the keys (literally) was easy. We were given a comprehensive welcome with information on how to get into Ghent and local amenities.
Accessing the historical centre of Ghent was easy. A five minute walk and then 10 mins max on the tram. The first day we were picked up by a bus and that got us close enough to the centre with the driver even coming to find us and chuck us off so we wouldn't get carried away to some distant spot. The tram goes right through the centre though so you might avoid anything with wheels!
The apartment was spacious downstairs and even had a small, communal, outside area. The kitchen has enough equiptment to be functional. The bed was comfy and the bathroom big enough with a good shower.
To get into Ghent we took
The bedroom with the windows open was a little noisy from the nearby busy road.
Its unlikely that you would book this with small children but the open backed stairs are not suitable for little feet in my opinion.
