Halte très agréable pour marcher dans le parc national

Le personnel de l’établissement est très accueillant, serviable, souriant et aimable. Il donne volontiers des conseils sur la région, y compris en français. Les repas sont copieux et délicieux. L’hygiène est irréprochable. Nous avons mangé des glaces, des jus de fruits et des yogourts faits maison, sans souci, et avec plaisir. C’est très agréable de s’installer sur la terrasse, avec un livre ou un jeu mis à disposition. Les chambres sont confortables et propres.

Le village n’a pas d’intérêt particulier, sauf qu’il est près du parc national de Serra Malagueta.

Wir kommen wieder!

Wir haben uns bei Magali und ihrem netten Team sehr wohl gefühlt. Das Haus ist sehr professionell geführt, mit Liebe zum Detail eingerichtet und super sauber. Die gemeinsame Dachterrasse mit gemütlichen Sitzmöglichkeiten bietet einen tollen Rundblick über die üppig grüne Landschaft, der Garten ist schön angelegt. Aluguers in Richtung Assomada oder Serra Malagueta fahren sehr häufig, trotz der Strasse ist es ruhig, abends und nachts fahren kaum noch Autos. Highlight ist das gute Essen, reichhaltig, lecker, abwechslungsreich. Tolle kapverdische Küche! Im Haus gibt es Wanderkarten, Reiseführer, etc. Und Magali gibt gern hilfreiche Tipps für Spaziergänge und Wanderungen. Danke für die Gastfreundschaft, wir kommen bestimmt wieder!

Traumhafte Homebase

Besser kann man es nicht haben! Wir haben uns extrem wohl gefühlt.Super nette, aufmerksame und hilfsbereite Mitarbeiter. Magalie, die Besitzerin spricht sogar recht gut englisch, der Rest des Teams französisch und ganz wenig englisch. Das Essen war fantastisch, immer frisch und vieles hausgemacht. Probiert unbedingt das Cookie-Eis!!!: ) Die Lage ist optimal als entspannte Homebase,man ist superschnell im Nationalpark, in Assomada oder in Tarrafal.Die Anlage ist liebevoll gestaltet mit Mango- und AvocadobäumenJederzeit wieder! Tout d'abord, un très bon accueil. Personnel attentionné et souriant. Un cadre agréable. et confortable. Petits déjeuners et diners copieux, variés...tout fait maison. De très bons conseils pour les randos. Tout dans la bonne humeur et la gentillesse....Merci à Magali et à tout son personnel. La situation géographique de l'établissement est idéale pour faire des randos dans le parc naturel et découvrir tout ce que la région a à offrir. Hôtel côté de France ou tout simplement un moment de bonheur.

La gentillesse du personnel , la bienveillance de Magali. Petit déjeuner copieux et varié. Repas du soir exceptionnel ou l'on nous fait découvrir la cuisine Cap Verdienne. Chambre très propre. On se sent bichonné, conseillé , Magali fait son métier avec passion . Séjour très agréable, très chaleureux. Si vous lisez ce commentaire avant votre départ de France ou d'ailleurs, pensez a ramener des petites fournitures scolaires , juste a côté de l'hôtel, Magali organise un soutien scolaire pour quelques enfants du village.

Une halte incontournable

La situation , vue sur la Serra Malagueta La terrasse qui permet d'en profiter. Les chambres toutes de bon goût, et où on se sent bien. Le professionnalisme et la gentillesse du personnel et de Magali française et qui gère avec efficacité sa maison d'hôtes. Le petit déjeuner exceptionnel par la qualité ( fait maison) et la quantité. Les repas bien préparés également

Rien 3 nuits c'est bien pour profiter du parc naturel et des alentours. L'entrée du parc de la Serra est à 15 mn en Aluguer , Ils s'arrêtent devant la maison dans toutes les directions.

Super Guesthouse avec une propriétaire et un personnel très sympathique qui nous a très bien accueilli. Les chambres et les lieux sont agréables avec une superbe vue sur la terrasse. Petit déjeuné et diner aux petits soins avec découverte des plats locaux. Lieu idéal pour partir en balade ou en visite. Merci!

Top Unterkunft nähe Serra Malagueta

Kleine, mit viel Herzblut geführte Pension. Liebevoll eingerichtete Zimmer, zwei Terassen mit gemütlichen Sitzgelegenheiten. Magalie und ihr Team sind nicht zu übertreffen. Sie helfen Ausflüge zu organisieren. Das Frühstück ist vielseitig. Das Abendessen kann dazu gebucht werden. was ich nur empfehlen kann. Es werden lokale Speisen serviert. Super leckeres Essen! Ich komme wieder.

Outstanding and more than perfect! 10+

It was outstanding by all means! The breakfast was the best I had in Santiago and the dinner for 9 euro was top class restaurant quality. Everything is home made, even the bread. I have never experienced a price/quality like this before. Many thanks to Magaly and her team!!!

A lovely place to stay especially if you want to go hiking in the national park.

This is a lovely place to stay, very close to excellent hiking and with comfortable rooms and a charming roof terrace. The breakfast was absolutely delicious, as well as their set 3 course dinner. The French lady who ran it was charming and very helpful.

everything! everyone was so welcoming and could not do enough to make us feel comfortable! The room is simple but good with a lovely shower! The balcony at the top was such a peaceful spot to enjoy the surroundings. We had our evening meal there and it was delicious and such good value for money. The breakfast was so so good! Very good

Lovely small hotel with very nice and attentive staff. As a solo traveller it felt very homely hanging out there, courtyard seats/sofas invite interaction among guests (if wanted). Good place from where to explore Serra Malagueta (12 mins by car/public transport) and Assomada (6 mins). When I was there, all guests ate the (good quality) 3 course dinner, cause hotel is not near any other restaurant.

Very cozy house on the perfect location to experience the beauty sierra malagueta has to offer. Magali and her team were beyond helpful, and the food was great too (make sure to get the dinner there!). The whole house was very clean and cozy, with a beautiful garden to relax. Initially we planned to stay one night but happy we stayed for two!(recommend doing this)

Magali and her staff are very nice, the breakfast and half board are fantastic! They were so kind to recommend us some very good hiking trails. The balcony at the back of the house welcomes you to enjoy the view afterwards. The aluguers stop right in front of the house and taking you in all directions. We highly recommend a stay at Cote de France!

Our room was a little bit small and older with not too much shelf space.

Amzing place with lovely team

Absolutely amazing. Magali and her team took great care of us, explaining a lot about the surroundings, cooking the best food we’ve had in Cape Verde so far and just being really welcoming. The room was good and so was the terrace with the view. We loved every minute of our stay.

Amazing starting point for all kinds of adventures (+ amazing food!)

Magali and her team exceeded our expectations on all levels: hospitality and food were simply amazing. To us it was the perfect starting point for adventures: from Praia to the National Park to Tarrafal always just a hop on the aluguer, yet the stay was comfy and quiet, perfect for the relaxing day in between adventures. We planned to stay two days in the beginning but couldn’t resist staying for over a week. 10/10

Magali and the rest of the stuff where amazing and helped us with everything we needed whether it was to arrange a hike or to get an Aluguer to the next city. There is a nice balcony from where you can look at the mountains and just relax and enjoy the nature around. This is also the perfect spot to hike and discover the nearby Sierra Malagueta or to go to Assomada or Taraffal for a day. We can also highly recommend the Restaurant. The food is great and fresh, the service is awesome and the best part of it all is the home made ice cream!

Great location with impeccable service

We stayed here for two weeks for work purposes near Assomada. The accomodation of this four-bedroom guesthouse exceeded our expectations by far. The rooms and location are true to the photos. The true gem is the service. The host and her team offered one of the best services I've ever experienced while travelling. They are warm, personal and welcoming. Help is provided for any travellers request - be it language, culture or practical travelling questions. There is great breakfast and dinner (by notification on the same day) using a mix of local ingredients and European cuisine - even with tasty vegetarian options. All of the guesthouse is cleaned daily to a high standard. The location on the main road of Santiago Island is convenient because of the "Aluguer" shared transport that can be hailed from here for a quick ride to Assomada (and onwards from there) and to Tarrafal. There is a shared terrace on the rear with a great landscape view to the mountains, Maio Island and Fogo Island. Ultimately, we also liked how the host is involved with social activities for the benefit of the local community. If we come back to Assomada we will always stay here again.

Pure kindness and attention to detail

Our stay at Cote de France was amazing, highly recommend it! Magali and the team were increadibly nice and offered one kind gesture after another. This is a fantastic property from which to discover the Island of Santiago, very close to Sierra Malagueta with Tarrafal and Praia not far away. The hotel was generous enough to adjust our booking after a last minute delay by our airline, this left us amazed as we were willing to pay for the original booking as the change was not in any way the hotel's fault. Also, we checked out early and the hotel staff was nice enough to pack our breakfast the night before! In summary, we highly recommend Core de France. We have never been treated nicer anywhere else!

Very lovely place in the middle of Santiago island surrounded by mountains. The staff was really friendly. Very good breakfast and dinner with local dishes (vegetarian is no problem). And best homemade icecream ever :D Had a nice and interesring trip around the whole island with the owner on the last day. Saw places we would otherwise never have seen on our own :)

Wifi was poor (didn't expect anything else in this rural area ;) But you can get a simcard at the airport for 10€ 7GB and this works well.

Wonderful place. Bring enough time to enjoy the beautiful landscape, ask Magali she will present you 100 options of activities around, the Serra Malagueta and both East- and Westcoast. The hotel is conveniently located at the main road between Praia and Tarrafal, yet very quiet and the rooms comfortable. You have the option to book dinner, which I really recommend, the food is great and the service outstanding.
