8.0 / 10.0
Proximity to the beach was good as was the walk into the town centre with its shops, restaurants and pubs etc. The apartment was big enough for our family group of 3 adults,1 child and a small dog. Kitchen was well equipped with everything you could possibly need to be able to self cater. There was constant supply of hot water in the apartment and having milk, tea, coffee and sugar on arrival was a really nice touch by Amy after such a long journey and the doggy treats were appreciated too. Bedding was all clean and of a good standard and each guest was provided with a large fluffy bath sheet and a hand towel. Outside area is great and really well equipped with lovely furniture including a hammock and bbq but could use a sunshade of some kind as it is a great bonus to the apartment but we couldnt use it due to it being a real sun trap in the afternoon. Upstairs neighbours were lovely and welcoming and had handy advice regarding the area.
There is a great crazy golf/cafe on the beachfront just down the stairs from the apartment which is run by lovely people and serves great drinks and food all very reasonably priced and perfect for families.
Entrance door to the apartments could really do with being replaced and the door to the apartment itself only has a wobbly Yale lock which didnt feel at all secure. Floor wasn't clean on arrival with old food etc which was easily sorted by running the hoover round. Scatter cushions on the sofa and the two bean bags were all in need of a wash as they were stained and didn't smell good so we just piled them up out of our way. The door that leads out onto the patio area needs a blind or curtain for privacy when coming out of bathroom and bottom bedroom. The shower in the bathroom is fitted way to low down on the wall and cannot be raised which forces you to have to bend awkwardly to be able to rinse your back/hair etc and this is made more difficult by the slope in the bath tub. There is public parking outside the property which gets incredibly busy with people coming to the beach and we often had to park away from the property up to two streets away which isn't the best when its dark.
The beach was on the doorstep which would have been great had it not been for the mountains of seaweed and the smell and flies this caused. We did have one attempt at going in the sea but after wading through calf deep and slippery seaweed we found it to be like trying to swim in seaweed soup which just clung to you and felt very unpleasant (obviously this was no fault of our host). Margate council really need to deal with this issue as the beach could be really beautiful and as it is we would not return to the area.

Location was great, easy walk into town. Kitchen facilities were brilliant, everything was very clean. Easy to locate the lock box on arrival. Lovely outdoor seating area surrounded by bamboo.
The flush on the toilet doesn't flush that well, and front door a bit tricky to get the bottom lock to turn.

I loved the flat, it has everything you need and even more, Amy is a lovely host she was absolutely lovely and she put us some milk in the fridge for the arrival day and coffee was also there. It's lovely located and you'll find shops nearly. Just a few steps and you'll find yourself at the promenade. Easy to walk in the city and to the beach even easier to get there from the station. I would definitely stay there again. I'd love an roof or a umbrella to put up if its warm but raining, but that would be just an extra. Maybe a towel more if you need to dry the others but I bet I just could have asked for it so it's my fault. I was stunned by the flat. Would recommend
Unfortunately the cozy blankets wasn't washed but it's absolutely not the hosts fault, I think the persons before used them and didn't washed them afterwards or left them out so you know they've been used.

Great location on a quiet road at the sea front and only a short walk into Margate. The property was very well equipped and spotlessly clean - the tea, coffee and fresh milk on arrival was much appreciated.

The location of the property was excellent. About a 10-minute walk to the main strip of Margate (Dreamland, beach, shops, old town etc.). We liked being a little out of town as it was a bit more peaceful and right on the seafront.
It could do with some bedroom blackout blinds, as it gets pretty bright. Everything else was great, and we would stay again.

Beautifully decorated flat. It has everything you need for a lovely beachside break. Walking distance to shops, bars and restaurants. Right on top of the beach for lovely walks. 5 minutes from train station. Excellent communication with host.
Everything was great.

A very well equipped apartment, Amy had thought of everything. Good quality interior, including TV, coffee machine and blutooth speaker. Nice comfortable sofa. Good size accommodation for 3 people, convenient location right by the beach. I enjoyed lounging on the hammock and comfortable garden furniture.
Unfortunate entrance due to bad smell in the street, strong seaweed smell and seagulls spreading litter - no fault of the owner, though, all good once inside.

Excellent location right opposite the beach. Plenty of space for us and a very well fitted out property.
Can’t fault it really!

The flat was well located, very close to the promenade and beach. Although not in the town centre it is only a 10 minute very pleasant walk along the promenade with great food and drink stops along the way. The apartment was bright and airy and very comfortable. We did not make use of the garden but in fine weather it would be lovely being sheltered and with nice furnishings and a barbecue.
The kitchen was well equipped and supplied with ample tea & coffee for our stay.
Had a little trouble with the TV signal occasionally but this was not a big issue. Would also recommend getting bath size towels for the bathroom.

A lovely home-away-from-home (if your home is within pebble-throwing distance from the sea, supplied with every amenity - and sparkling clean!). Wonderful, attentive host who has thought of everything anyone might ever need, including gear for the beach, and friendly immediate upstairs neighbours (those next door were clearly also in a let, in party mode and it was a weekend...). The flat itself was spacious, cosy, warm (we were there in wind-swept winter). The host left details of the surrounding area, where to go and what to visit, and ensured lovely touches such as milk in the fridge and teabags and coffee aplenty. In terms of location, the flat is on the first street parallel with the beach, spitting distance from the centre of town and the train station; though on the edge of a cul de sac of sorts so no through-traffic. The well-kept L-shaped patio area was a bonus.
Could not fault anything - the tiniest of tiny things is just a curtain for the door leading to the patio - we put up a shawl, but would have been great to have a little covering that allows light whilst affording privacy. Is a walled garden so unlikely anyone could see in from that side, but we are over-wary Londoners. ;o) But that was minor.

The apartment was pleasant and neat. It was nice to be able to bring our dog along to stay with us. The host, Amy was very helpful and communicated frequently via e-mail.
Front door lock was almost impossible to open. We struggled unlocking the door every single time and got very wet in the rain. Entrance to the property and the hallway was not pleasing. The property is advertised as having a sea view, but we did not see the sea at all during our 4 day stay thanks to the parked vans and cars blocking the little view that there is from the ground floor apartment.

Great location, just across the road from the beach. It was a pleasant walk into town along the sea front. Nice and quiet, there was no street noise while we were there. The apartment was well equipped and clean. We would stay here again if we were in Margate.

It was very clean, comfortable, modern & Amy had definitely tried to think of everything to make our stay enjoyable. Amy was very responsive when we messaged her about a small issue we had with Netflix not allowing us to watch anything for more than a couple of minutes. She tried her best via messaging to resolve the issue but when this didn’t work she sent someone round the following morning to sort it out successfully. This wasn’t a major issue anyway for the enjoyment of our stay but it was just nice having Netflix in the evening so once we came back after dinner etc we could snuggle down & watch a film if we wanted
Nothing really. The view wasn’t quite what I expected as I thought it would be a clear view of the beach/sea from the lounge window (I imagined sitting drinking my tea on the settee & being able to watch the world go by on the beach/sea) but there are houses directly opposite in front of the apartment so the seaview is not quite like this. However it is less than a 1min walk to the sea wall across the road & then down the steps onto the beach.

Great location, handy for the centre of Margate but away from the hustle and bustle, right next to the promenade via some steps and easy access to the beach.
Well sized, bright rooms, decorated beautifully and with really comfy beds.
Kitchen is well stocked with crockery, pans etc.

Really lovely property, Amy was really lovely too as we locked ourselves out and sorted with no issue. Neighbours really friendly too. Makes a great base to go to Broadstairs & Ramsgate.
Nothing, very happy with it.

Brilliant location. No problem with parking.
Quiet at night so sleeping was great.
Kitchen had all you needed to cook your meals.
The host provided great suggestions for dining and information ahead of our trip so we could better plan our stay. Would highly recommend making dinner reservations in advance.
Sofas were a bit soft but otherwise comfy.

Great location right by the sea and close to the town
Sofa was a little uncomfy, cushions sunk and low

Well equipped, comfortable and quiet apartment in great location. Good central heating, much appreciated in a chilly June.
Just minor things - would have liked a non-slip mat for the bath and a tea strainer; and while the sofas are comfy, they are rather low for an older person! A shame about the big white van parked outside the sitting room windows but obviously beyond the owner’s control.
