About this house rental
This on-mountain, family-friendly, four bedroom, three-bath multi-level townhouse in the Timberline section of the Sunrise development has it all – location, comfort, room to spread out, and did I mention location? This end unit is one of the larger units in Sunrise and is a ski in/ski out property which means it offers the convenience of being a stone’s throw from your own trail and lift. During typical winters the Sunrise lift operates late December through early April. For rentals before or after these dates Bear Mountain lodge is a quick five minute drive or less away via car or shuttle.
The townhouse easily accommodates 10 people. Stainless steel appliances in kitchen, top end, extra thick mattresses in the bedrooms, awesome long range views and personal in-unit sauna are among some of the other features you’ll find here. It is a three floor design with the lower level featuring two bedrooms (one with a queen, the other a bunkbed and a queen) and a full bath; second level boasts a bedroom with queen bed, living room with wood burning fireplace and dining area, deck, as well as fully appointed kitchen and full bath; the top level has the master bedroom (king) with its own bathroom with two-person jetted tub and deck. Free Wi-Fi access. Rental includes complimentary access to the complex’s ***Sports Center which has an indoor heated pool, workout area and hot tub. There are also plenty of trails to access for snowshoeing and tons of nearby activities for those non-skiers in the group. If bringing someone with a mobility issue please be aware descending a flight of stairs is required to access this unit as well as to navigate once inside. Pets considered on a case by case basis. Reach out to us first before booking.

After losses of family members last year, we downsized to this unit for our annual family ski trip to Killington. The unit had a shortcoming, the main balcony door would not open, it was being fixed. Otherwise the unit was great and all other issues were quickly resolved due to good communication with the host.

Two families totaling seven people fit nicely into this well-loved ski home just a very short walk/ski/ride to the mountain. The house was very comfortable with a nice living space and very well-stocked kitchen and bathrooms. The sauna was a nice touch after a long day on the slopes. The provided games were super fun - even got the teenagers to play. And we loved having fireplace to make it all that much cozier.
The host checked in with us a few hours after check-in to make sure all was okay; we didn't need to get in touch with her during our stay but gave peace of mind knowing she was immediately reachable.

I would recommend this property to any one with a group and kids great location and good access to ski on ski off. The property was very homely too.

Easy ski on/off to Sunrise chair, which feeds rest of Kilington, and easy walk to clubhouse/restaurant. Clean and comfortable and layout works well for larger groups. Would definitely stay again.

Nice condo close to the ski-on trail. We really enjoyed the location and abundance of firewood available at the condo complex. In unit sauna was great.
The weather made getting up/down the mountain roads to/from the condo difficult. You will definitely want 4WD. The roads are taken care of well but when it's near blizzard conditions there's only so much they can do.
I had a difficult time finding the condo unit because I never received detailed arrival directions, but was able to call the owner and got in the unit fine.
Overall we really enjoyed the stay.

Plenty of room, the most well-stocked rental we have ever stayed in. Elaine is wonderful- very responsive!! We had an issue with hot water at 7pm New Year’s Eve and someone came out within 30 minutes. Alas, the weather gods did not cooperate so we could not enjoy the ski-in, ski-out feature. Still- the kids loved the pool and the sauna was perfect to soothe aching muscles. Definitely recommend- maybe later in the season if you MUST ski on/ski off.

The Sunrise slopes weren't open yet due to lack of snow, but it appears to be a true ski-in/out property. We loved the Sunrise Recreational center and the toy box for the young children.

Enjoyed the house. Plenty of room for the family. Kitchen was stocked well for cooking needs. Great skiing and nice to come back to a sauna for recovery.

Loved the place! Well stocked kitchen, lots of towels, soap, shampoo, etc. Beds were super comfortable with plenty of room for all of us. Family loved the sauna and used that a lot. Location was fantastic and very easy to get on and off the slopes! Highly highly recommend!!

My extended family stayed here for a ski vacation for a long weekend and really enjoyed our stay. The townhouse is an end unit and was about a 100 yard walk to the ski trail at Sunrise Village. We really enjoyed the neighborhood clubhouse which had a heated indoor pool and hot tub and we ate dinner at the cafe at the clubhouse. The condo is a townhouse end unit so no one above/below you and only one condo to the side so it was quiet. The condo was generally well stocked.
It does have quite a few stairs from the parking area to the house and throughout the house (3 separate levels). The owner was very responsive and easy to work with.

Enjoyed a stay in Killington. Place was definitely a great location and large enough for our group of 8 with no issues. Thanks!

Easy in and out close to mountain. Was able to ski home at end of day and the chair from the condo area was easy to use. Nice layout for us with several toddlers running around and lots of toys already there. Would stay again!

Great location for ski in/out. House was spacious for our group and pretty views from the kitchen. Everything was provided: linens, paper products, fire wood.

With the Sunrise lift running this property is fully ski-in, and essentially ski-out (only a very short walk). It has a nice layout for multiple groups or families. The property manager was very responsive. The only thing to know is that it is a little bit of a walk including some stairs to get from the parking to the condo, so packing/unpacking a car with lots of heavy bags etc could be a bit of a chore for some people if icy and/or extremely cold. Overall, great spot.

We all enjoyed our time together, even though the trail was not open during our stay. Killington is having difficulty like everyone else during covid. The condo had more than enough room for all of us. The only thing that was not acceptable was the cleanliness of the refrigerator. It took us 45 minutes to scrub the caked on food off the shelves. There was a lot of leftover food from previous renters in the refrigerator. The rocking chair in the living room was broken to so were not able to use it. Other than that- we enjoyed the condo.

Had a great week in Killington with the family. House was very spacious, and the location was fantastic. We were here for the 4th of July, but I can see this location being even better during ski season based on the proximity to the slopes. If we're ever up in the Killington area again, we'd love to stay here again.

We had a wonderful ski weekend. The house was perfectly suited for us. The down stairs was perfect for the babies nap time. Upstairs was great to get away to do some “work from home”. We had family meals together in the great room. Skiing home for lunch was the most convenient aspect of the condo. Then we would tear up and head out for the afternoon. The condo could use a renovation, as it is dated in furniture and fixtures but that doesn’t out weigh the time and memories we made that weekend. Thank you.

The condo was great. Very well outfitted with dishes and cocking items as well as cleaning supplies. The ski in and out was so nice. I would come back again. I think a summer visit would be so much fun as well. Carol the renter was very helpful.

Good location. Short walk to ski down to lift. Unit had everything needed for a comfortable stay.

The house is much bigger than the pictures seem online. Very cozy and well-laid-out townhouse. VERY well stocked with kitchen items, towels, extra blankets and pillows - even shampoo and new soap bars in the bathrooms. It's obvious the Owner (Carol) cares about her place and the experience of her guests! Excellent water pressure and the heating system and fireplace were in perfect working condition.
Would like to describe the "ski-in / ski-out" as I saw others comments that were a bit negative. Yes, it is true that it is not a true ski-in/ski-out in the strictest definition. You can't just walk out the door and hop on a trail or ski all the wat back to the front door like you can in some other mountain resorts. But true ski-in/ski-out is very rare at Killington. BUT, with that being said, it is SUPER easy to get to Sun Dog trail and the Sunrise Village Triple lift. You walk about 50 yards down the street, up a small 15-ft hill, put your skis on, do a little bit of poll work to get going and you cruise right into Sun Dog trail. Coming back, you come down Bear Cub to Sun Dog and take an earlier enterance (there is a sign so you know where to enter) to the Sunrise Village than you took when you left the village and that trail brings you right to the firewood shed and parking lot directly across the street from the townhome. So, pop the skis off, walk across the parking lot, down the stairs, and you are home! Easy peasy.
Fairly pricey, but if you share with another family and compare to Killington Grand Resort rates, it is cheaper and you get way more amenities like full kitchen and washer/dryer, etc. I would say is if you like soft pillows/feather pillows - then bring your own as all the pillows are firm. Not really a negative as most homes I have rented don't have soft or feather pillows to be considerate of those with allergies - so I just always bring my own.
BOTTOM LINE - Excellent well-kept up, well-stocked town home with an excellent location to the slopes. Only 12-15 min drive to any restaurant/grocery store in Killington proper. Excellent and very resposive owner. You will not be disappointed! I would definitely stay again!

Very nice property. A little bit out of the way from the main slopes but that is as advertised.

We rented this property with another family in late Feb 2020. First thing I’ll say is that we were pleasantly surprised when we arrived because the property is so much nicer than it appears in the photos. It is quite large and all the rooms are spacious. The kitchen is incredibly well-equipped. There are a lot of pots/pans/bowls/dish towels, etc. All of the beds/baths had very nice bedding and towels (not cheap stuff like a lot of condos). Also, the condo was very clean and well taken care of. We thought the pictures made it look a little dingy/old but it is a very nice, comfortable condo. The property manager was very easy to work with and very helpful. We loved the location - easy ski in/out. Only caveat there is that you need the Sunrise lift to be open for it to be ski in/out. We have never had an issue with this but early in the season it may not be open if there hasn’t been a lot of snow. We will definitely return!

Been renting at Sunrise for 18 years but first time through VRBO and Carol was excellent to deal with and very responsive, flexible and helpful.

This is a comfortable, spacious property with all the amenities. There was more than enough space for the kids, adults, and grandparents on three levels. The skiers appreciated easy access to the Sunrise area of the mountain--we walked a short way then skied on and off the trail--and the non-skiers appreciated the Sports Center. We had a tasty lunch with friendly service at the nearby Sunrise Cafe (check hours; open for lunch-dinner, but not all days) and drove for a beautiful special occasion dinner at the wonderful Red Clover Inn about 25min away (reservations a good idea). We also had plenty of space for an extensive home cooked dinner one night for 9 of us. The in-unit sauna, easily refilled supply of firewood, and ample storage space for gear were also great. Carol, who manages the property, was professional and polite and even made arrangements to mail back the special necklace our daughter left at the property. We would love to go back someday!

Pictures don't do the house justice. This house was larger in person than the photos. We had 9 with us and had plenty of room to spread out and not feel cramped. Unfortunately the lift wasn't running when we went but it's a super quick drive to the Bear Mtn Lodge where you can buy tickets/rentals and hop on a lift there....but beware after taking that lift there isn't a bunny slope. It made for an interesting first slope of year for my 7 yr. old daughter. But there is beginner slopes up there. The house had tons of extras. Food, blankets, pillows, humidifiers, toys, books, shampoo, etc. which made it feel like home and great for traveling with kids, especially when coming by airplane! Thanks for everything and hope to come back!
